I took my parents this week there for dinner, and they were equally impressed. Our service was fantastic, and the bone-in NY Strip I ordered was perfect. We were seated right next to a very large party, which tended to be a bit noisy until their food arrived. This also happened the last time I was there a couple of years ago. Maybe I should have asked for a table in the 'quiet' section, if there is one. Extensive list of specials but no prices were given; I was a bit surprised when the bill came and they were so much more expensive than most menu items. I wish I'd asked the server for the prices even though that's kind of tacky. If we are going to spend that kind of money (the meal will easily be $100+ for 2), we want it to be for something we really enjoy. We had the Seafood Trio special and it was great. The Bananas Foster Bread pudding was very good as well. Our only complaint is that there was too much dressing on the lettuce wedge salad and that can be fixed by ordering it on the side. We do think we will return and we might actually have steak. I was pleasantly surprised by the food, service & wine list. 3 of the 4 of us ordered the special dry aged bone in ribeye. It was amazing. Cooked perfectly! The sides were great and the tuna tartar appetizer was delish! I am looking forward to a return trip. Was so much better than I remember ! It was the best steak I have ever had!
All the sides were excellent including the giant onion rings. Service and atmosphere was great. We had a group of 6 and everyone of us are still talking about this meal. Good job Sullivans!!!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AM2 Recent visitsFood both times was absolutely prepared to perfection, great layering of flavors. Had the fillet rare with bernaise sauce both occasions nothing to say but WOW!! My friend had the salmon on our previous visit and chicken on our most recent visit preferred the salmon over chicken dish. Shared the brussels sprouts the best I have tasted, would make you take home the leftovers, which tasted just as delicious the next day.
Only difference with our recent visit; we felt we were being rushed. Funny thing we came on a Friday night for early dinner ordered a bottle of wine; and although the restaurant was packed the previous time, we never had this feeling. Finally told the waitress we were here to relax. But then they made up for it with extremely good service and extra attention. Appetizers were terrific, lamb chops were superb. My ribeye tasted great but was a bit tough but seasoned well and cooked properly
Nice touch as they comped us on a few items for the initial neglect and also took our picture after dinner to celebate our annivesary.

The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and special. The food was fantastic and the wine list was extensive. They even comped the dessert for our celebration. Our table was ready, we were seated quickly, the meal was comfortably paced, and the food was excellent. This was our first time at Sullivan's (we live two hours away), and our server failed to mention that the side dishes are large enough to share easily between two, maybe three people. We might have ordered differently with that in mind, but it was all good. The filets were cooked perfectly and the meal was presented attractively. Sullivan's is has opened its menu up to some less costly times and had a younger crowd on Friday than we had ever seen. Service is still exceptional and not too hurried.
The atmosphere is great, service exceptional and the food was good to very good.
Closing the windows/blocking off the wine library cut down noise in the room which was most welcome.
The pre-fixe menu had wide enough options for most...seafood and red meat are the order of the day. The inclusion of a salad with a regular menu main course was a nice addition.

This time, for our wedding anniversary. The Hostess staff are always very friendly. Upon our welcome, they noted that it was our anniversay, wished us well, and seated us at a nice table for two. The waiter also acknolwedged our special occassion and there was even a card signed by the GM and all staff at the table which was a nice touch! Fillet Mignon was excellent as was my wife's Cedar Plank Salmon. They even comped us a dessert - another very nice touch. Overall, a great meal, excellent service from people working in all areas, and a memorable evening. It was my husband's birthday and they went above and beyond to help me celebrate it. We had wonderful pineapple martinis, delicious steak,salad, and very good key lime pie. They put a candle in it and didn't charge us for it. They also took a picture of us together and printed it out and put it in a card signed by the staff.
