The service was great as the waiter and servers waited on us hand and foot. The ambiance was wonderful as the place was really dim and romantic - the perfect setting for our special occasion. The food was awesome...we had the crabcake for an appetizer, which to be honest, is a joke for 2 people..but it tasted awesome. The steak, lobster bisque, and the Caesar salad was all amazing as well. This place is also hidden away...drive slow or you could roll right past it! Overall, Sullivan's is pricey but worth it! I had made a reservation for a client dinner and when we arrived they had me in their books for the previous day. I had gone into change the party size so perhaps I accidentally changed the date? I started to panic because the place was packed and thought we would have to wait with our two clients forever, but the hostess was able to seat us in 10 minutes and no one even knew there was an issue with the reservation. Whew! Our server was wonderful, and a lively addition to the client dinner which was must appreciated. Everyone really enjoyed the food Sullivan's and a good time was had by all! The food was excellent. The portions were nice and cooked just how we asked. I took my wonderful wife there for her Bday. What a pleasure. The prices actually surprised me, I was expecting it to be a lot more expensive then it was. Their specialty drinks were great. The food was brought out timely cold was cold and the hot was hot. They made it a wonderful Bday for my wife. We returned it and tried to find something else on the menu but by that time it was late so we didn't order another dish. One of the things that we really enjoy is there is ample time between courses, so we did not feel rushed. The noise level was such that we could enjoy conversation with our party without raising our voices. Also, it was may boyfriend's birthday and I was sure to ask that they find a way to say "happy birthday" somehow during the evening. As soon as we were seated, the waiter said "a little birdie told me that it was your birthday, look forward to having a slice of our amazing cheesecake! It's on us..."
That made him (my boyfriend) feel very special. I was happy that no one came out cheering and clapping as they usually do at restaurants--causing a bit of embarrassment.
