This year things seemed a little off and I have decided it was with the waitress and not with the establishment itself. We gave a generous tip of course, but we have been taken care of much better in the past, at least with a desert for the special event. Roll of the dice, you know. The service is impeccable and the food was superb. The appetizers was delicious and everyone in our party had steak for the main course. My husband and nephew at the bone in filet mignonette and I had the regular filet, and they were cooked just right and to the temperature of our request. The creme brûlée is out of this world!! The staff was very attentive and wished her happy birthday many times as well as providing her a dessert. It tasted like flounder or just plain fish. it was dry, not a good flavor or texture. it was extremely disappointing.

I had a Bone in rib eye that was very flavorful. My wife had the bone in filet equally tasty. There was a small acoustic band in the bar area that played nice jazzy music and then there is Sullys Bar attached to the restaurant that offers a sports bar atmosphere. We each enjoyed a cocktail, I highly recommend the Blackberry Buck. We started with the Shanghai Calamari appetizer, which was sweet, a little spicy, and delicious. We had Caesar salads, and I felt like the taste was watered down. I had the 8 oz. filet mignon with the bourbon peppercorn sauce, and I felt like the medium-rare was a little closer to rare, but it was flavorful and tender. My friend had the cedar plank salmon and said it was very good. It came with a sauce on top, which she things was steak sauce.
I felt the restaurant was a good choice for a special occasion.
