The staff here could not be nicer or more attentive. We had out of town guests and just wanted to catch up over a good meal with no hassles of turning over tables and being rushed out the door - tough to do in NY for a Sunday brunch with 8 people. The Sullivan Bistro was great. Decent food, good coffee and a low key, neighborhood spot- got exactly what we came for! Will be back!!

We went Halloween evening and enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming with a super friendly staff and attentive service. The food is not gourmet but "comfort". Even though it was crowded it was also quiet which was refreshing. So many NYC eateries are just deafening. We'll definitely be back.

We went and scoped out Sullivan Bistro on a Friday night and had a wonderful time enjoying delicious food and great service before taking a group of friends there for brunch on Saturday. Saturday was just as delightful and our friends loved it too! I recommend the Grilled Chicken BLT with Chipotle Mayo on a Toasted Brioche Roll - really good!

Sullivan Bistro has been my favorite restaurant ever since Richard Galcik bought it several years ago. It is perfect for a celebratory meal, a casual lunch or just a quick drink and snack. The food is always fantastic. The service is always impeccable. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. I just wish it were located closer to my Queens County home, so I could enjoy it more often. My favorite dishes include the chicken guacamole club sandwich and the Waldorf salad. All the desserts are heavenly. The prix fixe dinner is "a steal."

The servers will warm your hearts, the food will leave you satisfied, and the location is perfect. Hanger steak was cooked perfectly with amazing fries, and the ribs had a fantastic smokey, fall off the bone texture. Very affordable, and approachable. We will be back.

Service was very friendly, prices were reasonable, and the food was excellent. Our small group ordered quite a few things, and all were very good. This is a small neighborhood restaurant, with what seemed to be lots of regulars. Don't pass up the Chicken Milanese, and Dutch crepe with Banana and Nutella. They also have a very good prix fix menu with a glass of wine

The basil mashed potatoes were unbelievably good as were the garlic mashed that accompanied our entrees. We took advantage of the price fixed dinner which is a good deal. The dessert crepe was delicious too. The restaurant banquets are not super comfortable, so next time we may ask for a table with chairs.

A nice place with good food and service. We've been here before, and it's always a excellent choice. We had the Guacamole, and the smoked salmon special app, both were fresh and delicious. For dinner we had the Jack Dainel ribs and they were fall of the bone tender, and the free range chicken. Prices are very reasonable considering the large portion size.

Went to dinner with my husband there this past Friday night. I ordered the seafood and pasta special. It was tasty but the tilapia was overcooked to the point it was unedible. My husband had the shrimp over risotto and he liked his dish too but thought it could use seasoning. He had one drink at happy hour and the bill before tip came to $54.

We made a reservation on a Saturday night and arrived to find only two other couples seated. It's a pretty small place and very cozy. The wait staff was attentive without hovering over us. The Owner stopped by for a moment as was very nice as well, We ordered the Salmon and the Roast chicken and both were excellent. Compared to other restaurants in the area the costs were very low. High quality food and low costs in a quiet atmosphere, what's not to like?

A friend who lives in the neighborhood suggested i try this place out and so glad that i did! I enjoyed every moment of the dinner i shared with my husband. While he had their risotto with shrimp, i had the milanese style chicken breast with basmati rice. The sauce (with capers and tomatoes) was so delicious but i have to say the winning component was the chicken itself! It was so juicy and tender that i only needed a fork to cut through it! Definitely coming back for that! To top it all off, the chocolate mousse was simply decadent! Service was an extra extra plus for me!

Made a lunch reservation but was happy to see that they serve breakfast through most of the day, basically brunch everyday! We ordered the banana and blueberry pancakes and the salmon eggs benedict with a side of their homemade corned beef hash. Hit the ball out of the park! The people sitting next to us suggested we try their burgers so that's another trip right there.

I showed up and was almost embarrassed to say I had a reservation, as there was no one else in the restaurant. For dinner I ordered the tilapia and my friend had a steak. I served canned corn with store bought pesto mixed in as a side dish, so-so mashed potatoes and an underwhelming piece of fish. My friends steak, which was ordered medium was served well-done. While the 1,000 points were nice, and the food wasn't inedible, I will not be going back.

Went to this bistro for the first time with a group of 7. We had a nice table and an excellent waiter who patiently described the menu options and who came throughout the evening to check on us and to refill water glasses. I had a Bistro Burger - it was enormous, very tasty and came with some awesome fries. We had a Nutella crepe for dessert - it was also delicious. We enjoyed the low key atmosphere and chatted there for a long time without being rushed - a very nice evening. We'll be back!

The bistro is on the smaller side so i wouldnt recommend reserving for groups of more then 10, however, it was perfect for two of us. Service was quite warm and friendly, and we were given great recommendations, i opted for the peasant chicken with some basmati rice and my friend went for the BBQ Ribs which were delicious with s great kick to it! Try one of their Dutch Crepes as a dessert. Yum overall!

Overall I was more impressed with the ambience. It wasn't too crowded and it was a nice quiet place. I was able to sit outside on the small porch where they have a few seats to just hang out. That was a nice touch. It's a great place to meet up with a few friends for a quiet spot. Even nicer out there if there is good weather. Food was alright but the prices were fair so overall okay bang for your buck.

sometimes it's difficult to find a nice And cozy place to enjoy good food, good service and not have to go to the bank for it in NYC. however Sullivan bistro was a great find, I will definitely return to try the other items on the menu. it's like staying home for a nice meal and having your own personal chef. the decor is like you're at a friends home, the service was awesome and attentive. the food was on par with some fancy high end restaurants but it's located in an off beaten path so you don't have to worry about a long wait and noisy crowds.
