Sullivan BistroI recently met a friend hereI recently met a friend here for dinner and was really amazed at both the food and level of service. The atmosphere is perfect. You can actually hear the person your dining with. There was a prix fixed menu which was an exceptional bargain. A big bowl of mussels to start. We both had the shell steak which was absolutely succulent. I have to tell you that it was one of the best steaks I've had in awhile. This place was a great find. Understated. great food and service, and a good value.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWe met friends for lunch onWe met friends for lunch on Sunday. It was perfect because the menu had brunch choices as well as lunch choices.
We were able to relax and catchup with each other. No one rushed us at all. Everyone liked the food, it wasn't fancy,
but it was good. The waiter was very good, taking care of us and leaving us to r conversation. I would definitely return6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Neighborhood Local for BrunchSullivan Bistro is probably my favorite spot in the neighborhood for a good brunch. It can get crowded on the weekends and space is a luxury, but it's perfect for breakfast during the week or an early/late brunch. Their menu has a good range of breakfast favorites and they're all done very well for reasonable prices. The Eggs Benedict is perfect.
I have eaten here plenty of times and will continue to do so. Definitely recommended.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat local spotIm a regular at this place, and it never disappoints. The food and service are always great. We had the prix fix menu last time, and you get an App, Entree Dessert and a glass of wine I think it was $40. We had Smoked Salmon with brioche, Hummus plate, Mussels, and a Fantastic Rissoto with Porcini Muchrooms. My Favorite. I'll be back5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat little place but cash only!Staff was friendly, food was good and we were never rushed although we lingered for awhile after eating. But, we were lucky to have enough cash. We did not notice the cash only sign.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMI love this place but bestI love this place but best to stick with the traditional comfort food. I ordered the Cobb Salad and was underwhelmed. It was the smallest Cobb salad I've ever had and it was on taco chips...what! It was tasty but not what I would expect from a Cobb salad or any main course salad. My dining partners ordered the ribs which were amazing. Nevertheless, I will definitely go back as I love the ambiance and the food, just not the salads. Service a little slow this time. Nice Irish coffees. Remeber...cash only. There is however an atm in the restaurant.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat as usualThis is the umpteenth time we've been there. Half the time, after looking around for a restaurant, we end up at the Bistro again. It's friendly, quiet and the food is excellent.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, but cash onlyThe restaurant is in a great neighborhood that has a lot of music bars in the vicinity of the restaurant.
Food was great and they served it timely and hot. The only knock on this place is that it's CASH ONLY and doesn't accept credit cards. For your convenience, they do have an ATM inside, but knowing how much you have to pay for the fee does not give you comfort.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food in a civil atmosphere. This place never fails to disappoint me with the food, service and for the ever sought after civil atmosphere. All without the hype I ordered from the "specials" menu. First the mushroom tart with goat cheese served on pastry dough. YUMMY. The waiter guided me to a Zinfandel which went really well with this....and surprising with the main course. I had the wild salmon in a lemon butter caper sauce with grilled asparagus and wild rice. Yummy yet again. Sweet place to have a scrumptious dinner and be able to talk instead of scream. The service was attentive when we needed them to be. Its casual cool in a civil comfy atmosphere.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time and loved it!Amazing food, and Richard, the owner, is so great! He made our experience really fun.2/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
