  • "My husband and I have been to Sugo's many times-alone or with friends. This is the first time we took several family members. We asked for the "Piano Room" which has no piano but is a bit quieter than the bar. We have a family member who is in a wheel chair and they made accommodations quietly and efficiently. Mr.C himself stopped by to tell us about the specials ...he is always a great added attraction. Everyone had a great meal. From Scampi to Pork to Meatballs it was all good. We can always count on Sugo's for a great meal, carefully prepared and always a special that Mr.C created from the morning's freshest ingredients! I recommend Sugo's for anyone wanting a great meal, good drinks, and professional service!"

  • "We went to Sugos for our weekly date night and it was also our anniversary. I have to say John our waiter was great. He gave great recommendations and was very personalbe. The food was amazing. It was so tasty, well made and came from all fresh ingrediants. We were already planning what to try on our next visit while we were still there. We got a free glass of champagne at the end to celebrate our first visit which was a nice touch. We will for sure be coming here again for another date night or even to have a nice dinner with family and friends."

  • "We started out with the meatball for an appetizer, which was filling and delicious. Along with the meatballs we were given toasted bread with olive oil which were great for dipping in the sauce of the meatballs. I had the house special Scallops. There were 3 large scallops sitting on beds of vegetables. I didn't think the dish would be filling but it turned out to be plenty of food. The scallops were tender and delicious. My husband had the salmon. It was good, a little dry to me, but he enjoyed it. We shared the zucchini cake for dessert which was delicious as well. Overall we had a nice meal and will go back in the near future."

  • "We arrived on time and was sat at a table immediately, only the "table" was in a private room with 6 or 7 Prom couples...no fun. Then they moved us to another "private" room with a large family who allowed their toddlers to spread their toys all over the room even crawling under our table...the family never blinked an eye, as if such behavior is appropriate or even somewhat normal. we finally moved to a table in the restaurant and it was a little better, by this time we were all frustrated. We went to the Iberian Pig earlier in the week (same owners) and it was amazing...probably the best restaurant we have been to in years!!! Sugo can't even come close. We should have gone to Vande Rouge!"

  • "We were long time customers of Sugo when it was located at the clock tower in Roswell, and we LOVED it. It was always great, and always worth the money. This new location was such a disappointment. The food just wasn't the same (even though it was described the same on the menu). We felt we really were overcharged in general. The biggest kicker was my husband's liquor drink. It is typically $12 or so, and this time it was $21! When asked about it, they gave us some lame excuse about how they weren't making any money on alcohol so they had to raise their price (blah, blah, blah). Too bad because it used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but we will NOT be back."

  • "The food and service were great. Very large portions of food. We were seated in the bar, which was packed, and the tables were right at the bar. I was seated with my back to the bar so I was constantly getting hit in the head as people were walking by and felt really crowded by all the people standing up behind me throughout the whole meal. This was our first time here so we didn't know which tables would be best. I think we should've been given the option of sitting in the bar or waiting for a table in the restaurant. I would have gladly have waited for a table elsewhere. Really good food and service though."

The choices are also very unique, not what you are used to finding, fresh fish, bacon wrapped dates, lamb, even the lasagna was over the top, great appetizers, the desserts looked great - just to full to enjoy. Go - ENJOY - plan to skip breakfast and have leftovers for lunch."

Since then we've come back for all special occasions -- birthdays, anniversaries, etc. The place has changed as the restaurant group and notoriety grew but the menu favorites are still there and I'm always impressed with the specials. If you want a great mix of Italian and Mediterranean food in a great, friendly atmosphere this place is for you!"

  • "Sugo's is a very nice family owned restaurant. The owner and/or his wife will likely visit your table which is a nice treat in today's go-go restaurant environment. The food is tasty and authentic. I didn't see a lot of "creative" food interpretations. I was disappointed with the caprese salad, of all things. The tomatoes were INCREDIBLE but there appeared to be a skimping on the basil, mozzarella, and balsamic. The balsamic left a lot to be wanted... Perhaps had I not ordered the caprese, I would have felt the meal was of a higher caliber but missing on such a basic dish caused me question the overall experience."

  • "This is a true old fashioned restaurant - where the owners walk the floor, where the menu changes frequently, where they care about the food they buy and make, and where the servers aren't kids. This is not a chain - even the high end steakhouses and such (Mortens, ...) execute on a 'formula'. The only formula here is the personal touch, and the passion for food and service. I need a heart healthy meal - and the chef often comes out to discuss what fresh food he has and how to turn it into a perfect dish for me. Wow! We need more of these places, tell me if you find them..."

The seating was very comfortable and the ambiance was relaxing and comforting. We enjoyed all of the food except the appetizer but that was our personal taste not enjoying it. I'm sure others love it. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fancy night out or some authentic italian food."

Even though we had reservations, we still had to wait an hour for a table to come available, which didn't sit well with us. That would be my only complaint. Otherwise, I highly recommend Sugo."

  • "It starts with the parking situation; it's a terrible location. We arrived at 6:35 for our 6:45 reservation; we were seated at 7:25. Why bother taking reservations? We were seated in the back of the restaurant where the lighting was so poor, we couldn't identify the ingredients in our entrees. I'm a visual person & love to see the food I'm enjoying; you literally could not see it. It was clear throughout the evening that the place was not prepared for the volume of the evening - from the staff rushing around like mad, to the hostess turning over the tablecloths, instead of changing them, to them having to bring in metal chairs b/c they ran out of regular chairs. It was just a bizarre evening overall for us & we definitely won't be back."

  • "We had a group of ten for an "after Valentine's Day" event. Mr. and Mrs. C were fantastic, Crystal was a great server, guiding us to great dishes and wonderful wines (not even the most expensive!) This is like going to an old friends' place...but one who happens to be a gourmet chef!"
