Had the dining room to myself the nite I went. I ordered the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, which cut like butter, with an absolutely outstanding Marsala sauce. Delicious bread. Grateful for a nice, light sorbet offering for dessert. Breakfast the next morning was stuffed french toast and crispy bacon which was made to order accompanied by homemade scones.

The food was excellent. The Oyster chowder was about the best I ever had. The Ceasar salad was nice & fresh. I liked the fact the dressing was on the side, so I was able to determine how much I wanted to add in. My Sirloin was done perfectly. I really enjoyed the red wine reduction. For dessert we did both the Raspberry Sorbet & the Brownie Sundae. Both were great. Good to see Chef Val & his staff really hitting their stride. Basically, I feel he's about the best chef in the White Mtn. region.

Chef Val does not disappoint. His food is excellent! Very fresh and the presentation beautiful. He came out to visit with us which was very nice as we have enjoyed dining at his restaurant for the past three years before he closed it in July (Timber Alley in Littleton NH) . Chef Val's cuisine is why we visited the restaurant. Our server was wonderful as well. She was vey attentive and pleasant. We had a wonderful dining experience, and I would recommend!

We were staying at Sugar Hill Inn for the weekend so booked in advance for the 4 course meal experience and paid quite a bit for it. I don't mind spending money for quality and their website suggested that they got quite busy for dinner so it was best to book in advance. So--I did. I love Bed and Breakfasts and am generally pleased to take their recommendations. Well, when we arrived, apparently, the Inn no longer offers these "4 course meal experiences"--even though I had just booked a couple of weeks prior. And the dining room was half empty or more so I needn't have booked this (non) experience in advance. the 4 course meal was probably double what I would have spent if I had known better and just ordered what I wanted from the menu. The food was good. The LARGE amuse bouche of braised duck was outstanding and absolutely first class. The rest of the food was good--not great but good enough. Our waitress, Hope, was outstanding in every way. This Inn is lucky to have her. The other staff we met seemed completely clueless about both the Inn and how to work in a service industry. I think the Sugar Hill Inn is past it's prime. They either need to up their game or lower their prices. I would suggest that you spend your dining time in nearby Littleton--Sour's Taverna was 20/10 on the food scale and I was told that other restaurants in the town are also outstanding.

Four of us had dinner at the Sugar Hill Inn on Saturday, Feb 22, 2025. Food was excellent; cooked appropriately, excellent presentation. Server was attentive but never hovering. Drinks and dessert well done, and the atmosphere quiet and relaxing. This is our go to restaurant for those special birthday and anniversary celebrations.
