Diner Reviews
  • "We recently had dinner as a family to celebrate a birthday. We all are vegetarians and the restaurant had plenty of vegetarian options. The server was great as well. Accommodated us, answered all of our questions patiently. The food was great as well, thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered."

  • "A wonderfully unique restaurant! Delicious food unlike anything else you can find. The wait staff is very helpful and friendly too. They are happy to explain each dish to you."

  • "We had a very nice, first time, experience at Sufi's. The Sufi's special eggplant appetizer was wonderful.....it had just the right amount of "heat". The salmon kabob salad was very good as was the ground lamb kabob. The shirin polo was outstanding. And the The portion size of our entrées was generous....we easily could have shared one. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The only drawback was it was very noisy. ..large party, concrete floors and very loud neighbors at the next table made it difficult to have a decent conversation."

  • "two of our 3 diners had to send their dinners back to the kitchen. they both had beef dishes which were too highly spiced and not to their taste. mine was very good - i had a chicken dish, but not the best. this was the second time we had been there for dinner, but we probably will not go back. lunch there is fine."

  • "Our dining experience was absolutely fantastic, from the friendly host to our amazing waitress and the delicious food! We will definitely be patronizing Sufi's Atlanta again. :-)"

  • "If you choose places for the food then this isn't it. The kebabs were dry & had to be resent to the kitchen. They added more butter, but that only patched the problem for a short while. The shirin palau wad good & so was the naan bread, but the main dish at this restaurant was supposed to be the kebab. Service was great & so was the ambiance, but the biggest reason I go to places is for the food. Being that the location is near downtown Atlanta, they must have a high overhead, because the prices were quite high as well. I expected better for the prices they charged."

  • "We went to Sufi's to celebrate a family birthday. Our server was so knowledgeable and suggested dishes that were perfect for us. Eacn and every item was absolutely delicious - so flavorful without being spicy. A great experience!"

  • "Ultimately I enjoyed the culinary offerings- our server seemed a bit nervous and didn't volunteer any menu suggestions or convey a familiarity with the cuisine. I happened to be dining with a Persian friend so I got better cues from her about how to approach the menu. "

  • "Sufi's is a wonderful place to go with a group or a date. It is quiet, meaning you don't have to yell to be heard. The service is really good as well as the food. I went with a group of friends and there was something on the menu that appealed to everyone. All in all, the evening was very special and enjoyable. I will definitely go again."

  • "This was the perfect place for a gathering of women after an institutional event. The food was very good, though be aware that on Saturdays the lunch menu is not available and one must use the dinner menu. This was our only negative, since most of us had another dinner event to attend, and would have prefered a smaller meal. However, many of us went home with take home boxes. The service was superb. Our waitress was just right: friendly, helpful, attentive without be obtrusive, and able to deal easily with separate checks and shared meals. I would rate her among the best I have had in Atlanta. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. "

  • "While the food was very good and the service was excellent, it does seem a bit over-hyped. The waiter "pushed" an expensive all inclusive type meal, and only when we said we were going to leave did he suddenly present other options. That soured the meal. But, the food was tasty. There are plenty of other great places to eat in Atlanta, so I can't really recommend Sufi's."

  • "A friend and I ate lunch at Sufi's this week and we decided to sit on the patio. Despite the 80+ degree temps, it felt wonderful with the breeze from the ceiling fans. We ordered the hummus appetizer (free with Scoutmob right now!) and it was amazing. I had a falafal wrap and my friend had a marinated sirloin wrap (I can't remember the Persian name for it). Both were delicious and came with generous salads. Definitely will be going back for more! Oh, and prices were extremely reasonable!"

  • "I've eaten at Sufi many times and have always had a great meal. This last time was a bit unusual; the power went out. The staff handled it very well. Since the food is mostly cooked on a grill, they didn't really miss a beat. The wait staff is always friendly and accomodating, even without power. This is a great restaurant! My only complaint, bring back my favorite waiter, Austin. :)"

  • "Our waiter Jose was amazing!! He definitely took care of us and was truly accommodating. The food was great. We couldn't decide between sea bass or salmon so we got both and shared. The sea bass was delicious and I definitely recommend trying it. The salmon was excellent. I would suggest substituting the rice however. Get the rice with carrots and orange peel in it (I can't remember exact name). I will definitely be returning to sufi's!!"

  • "While the food was good, it didn't "wow" me as have other Persian restaurants. The physical space was disappointing. We were seated next to the bathroom hallway where I was continually bumped and jostled throughout the eating experience (no dining here--they kept everything coming fast and furious ... Reminded me of basic training: "Sit, eat, and get out."). And the noise level ... My wife and I couldn't carry on a dining conversation due to the party of 12 whose cackles and shreaks were deafening. The whole experience reminded me of being in a Persian bazaar with the bumping, jostling, noise, and average food. The only things missing: good Persian tea/coffee and the aroma of hookahs."

  • "Excellent food, good wine selections, attentive staff. Had a great dinner with friends. We went on a Saturday evening for dinner. The starter consisted of Hummus, spicy roasted egg plant dip, cucumber with yoghurt, cheese with radish etc. The dinner was Chicken Soltani X2, Chicken Barg Kabab. The desserts Pomegranate cheese cake and Persian ice cream. Our waitress was very attentive, cheerful, and brought all dishes hot and quickly. The place was very crowded and a bit noisy due to the number of people. But overall we had great food and wine. Highly recommended."

  • "The hummus is great. I thought the tabouli salad was a little off. But, the kabobs more than made up for that."

  • "Food is on par if not better than Rumi's. Can't believe we have been driving past Sufi's all these years. So glad we ate here. Our new favorite Persian restaurant. Hummus was perfect. Just the right amount of garlic. If you like eggplant, the Sufi's Special was a perfect mix of spicy deliciousness, not too spicy, just enough to tantalize your taste buds. I liked it so much, I ate the rest with my meal. For our main course, we had the Soltani paired with the Sirin Polo. Oh so good! This is a must go restaurant! Cheers!"

  • "It was a bit pricey and the food was not bad but it was not worth that price... My lamb was blah!"

  • "Food was nice and well prepared. Server was attentive. The decor is a bit dated. All in all I'd prefer Rumi's, especially now that they've relocated to a larger and nicer location."

  • "I really want to like this place: the ambience was great, the service was good, and the wine was tasty. However, the food did not live up to our expectations. The chicken was dry and relatively tasteless. Also, the rice was bland the sirloin was rough. Unfortunately, I think that the quality of food matches the prices."

  • "Loved the lamb and chicken kabobs, rice was great and I don't even like rice usually! The outdoor patio was very warm even in the cold outside. Staff was helpful and nice too. Definitely will go back, great Valentine's dinner or any special occasion."

The food, the service and the ambiance was great! The hors d'oerves were very good, the hummus excellent served wit toasted pitot The lamb is delicious, spiced to perfection . We had two young boys with us, and they were welcomed . They also enjoyed their meal. Sufi's is an excellent restaurant, and we will definitely return"

  • "We love Sufi's. We went there with five people celebrating two birthdays. The hummus appetizer was wonderful, with delicious pita and a plate of basil and feta and walnuts. The best entree at the table was the beef shish kabob with vegetables. Portions were generous and the staff were excellent. After the meal they brought the two birthday people a lovely dessert of Persian ice cream with baklava, and two lit candles. Hope to return soon!"

  • "Our waiter had some difficulty getting our bill correct with only four in our party. Items were mixed when we asked for two bills. When one of our diners ordered an item, the waiter split the cost among the guests. Very presumptuous of this waiter to split costs without asking. I presumed I should reduce his tip."

  • "The food was ok, I enjoyed the flat bread & herbs that were served before the meal, the most. The atmosphere was nice, IT TOOK TOO LONG FOR US TO BE WAITED ON! Sufi's was pretty full, but we were seated immediately , About 20 minutes later the restaurant was thinning out and we still hadn't been approached by our waiter. I stopped one nearby, asked when was our order going to be taken. About 10 minutes later, a waitress comes over to take our order. She was polite ,but why did we have to wait so long to be serviced. I will say, that we were the only black couple in the restaurant and I'm not one to put race as a factor, but I actually started wondering at this point, was it a factor?!? No other table sat like that , believe me I looked."

  • "I have dined at Sufi's numerous times; for both lunch and dinner. I am absolutely hooked on their Chenjeh which is a simple dish item-wise but very complicatedly delicious ingredients-wise. The basmati rice is flavorful and fluffy. The fire-roasted tomato is a delight and the steak is so unbelievably tender and flavorful. I will be back soon!"

  • "This was my third time at Sufi's. We came with a group of 6. The food is always excellent, but the service is always just a little bit slow. We were glad we ordered appetizers because it took awhile for all of our food to arrive. However, everyone loved their dishes. I would definitely come back and recommend the restaurant to others."
