Diner Reviews
  • "Sufis is always a favorite of mine. Amazing food and very different."

  • "I've always been a RUMI'S kitchen fan but now am also a Sufi's fan - loved it!"

  • "Our waiter Jose was amazing!! He definitely took care of us and was truly accommodating. The food was great. We couldn't decide between sea bass or salmon so we got both and shared. The sea bass was delicious and I definitely recommend trying it. The salmon was excellent. I would suggest substituting the rice however. Get the rice with carrots and orange peel in it (I can't remember exact name). I will definitely be returning to sufi's!!"

  • "Excellent food, good wine selections, attentive staff. Had a great dinner with friends. We went on a Saturday evening for dinner. The starter consisted of Hummus, spicy roasted egg plant dip, cucumber with yoghurt, cheese with radish etc. The dinner was Chicken Soltani X2, Chicken Barg Kabab. The desserts Pomegranate cheese cake and Persian ice cream. Our waitress was very attentive, cheerful, and brought all dishes hot and quickly. The place was very crowded and a bit noisy due to the number of people. But overall we had great food and wine. Highly recommended."

  • "While the food was good, it didn't "wow" me as have other Persian restaurants. The physical space was disappointing. We were seated next to the bathroom hallway where I was continually bumped and jostled throughout the eating experience (no dining here--they kept everything coming fast and furious ... Reminded me of basic training: "Sit, eat, and get out."). And the noise level ... My wife and I couldn't carry on a dining conversation due to the party of 12 whose cackles and shreaks were deafening. The whole experience reminded me of being in a Persian bazaar with the bumping, jostling, noise, and average food. The only things missing: good Persian tea/coffee and the aroma of hookahs."

  • "The hummus is great. I thought the tabouli salad was a little off. But, the kabobs more than made up for that."

  • "I could not believe the food was made without animal products. We had a four course special. Everything was so good."

  • "Food is on par if not better than Rumi's. Can't believe we have been driving past Sufi's all these years. So glad we ate here. Our new favorite Persian restaurant. Hummus was perfect. Just the right amount of garlic. If you like eggplant, the Sufi's Special was a perfect mix of spicy deliciousness, not too spicy, just enough to tantalize your taste buds. I liked it so much, I ate the rest with my meal. For our main course, we had the Soltani paired with the Sirin Polo. Oh so good! This is a must go restaurant! Cheers!"

  • "It was a bit pricey and the food was not bad but it was not worth that price... My lamb was blah!"

  • "Everything on the menu is quite good. All of the spicing is exquisite. I could fill up on bread alone."

  • "Food was nice and well prepared. Server was attentive. The decor is a bit dated. All in all I'd prefer Rumi's, especially now that they've relocated to a larger and nicer location."

  • "The Hummus, chicken barg and soltani are magnificent"

  • "Honored reservation, and scout mob gives you free humus which was amazing! Great rack of lamb! Overall good experience. Free valet only works of tips."

  • "Loved the lamb and chicken kabobs, rice was great and I don't even like rice usually! The outdoor patio was very warm even in the cold outside. Staff was helpful and nice too. Definitely will go back, great Valentine's dinner or any special occasion."

  • "I really want to like this place: the ambience was great, the service was good, and the wine was tasty. However, the food did not live up to our expectations. The chicken was dry and relatively tasteless. Also, the rice was bland the sirloin was rough. Unfortunately, I think that the quality of food matches the prices."

  • "Took our entire familiy ( 2 parents and 3 children 6, 10, 13 ) to Sufi's to celebrate my son's birthday. Terrific food, great service and a nice way for us to try lots of unique delicious foods ! Portions were great for sharing and atmosphere was relaxed ! Had a great time - would love to go back !"

The food, the service and the ambiance was great! The hors d'oerves were very good, the hummus excellent served wit toasted pitot The lamb is delicious, spiced to perfection . We had two young boys with us, and they were welcomed . They also enjoyed their meal. Sufi's is an excellent restaurant, and we will definitely return"

  • "We love Sufi's. We went there with five people celebrating two birthdays. The hummus appetizer was wonderful, with delicious pita and a plate of basil and feta and walnuts. The best entree at the table was the beef shish kabob with vegetables. Portions were generous and the staff were excellent. After the meal they brought the two birthday people a lovely dessert of Persian ice cream with baklava, and two lit candles. Hope to return soon!"

  • "The food was ok, I enjoyed the flat bread & herbs that were served before the meal, the most. The atmosphere was nice, IT TOOK TOO LONG FOR US TO BE WAITED ON! Sufi's was pretty full, but we were seated immediately , About 20 minutes later the restaurant was thinning out and we still hadn't been approached by our waiter. I stopped one nearby, asked when was our order going to be taken. About 10 minutes later, a waitress comes over to take our order. She was polite ,but why did we have to wait so long to be serviced. I will say, that we were the only black couple in the restaurant and I'm not one to put race as a factor, but I actually started wondering at this point, was it a factor?!? No other table sat like that , believe me I looked."

  • "Sufis has hands down the best kabob in the city. It is such a nice atmosphere...valet parking..and the staff never disappoints!"
    Dined on 11/16/2013
  • "Our waiter had some difficulty getting our bill correct with only four in our party. Items were mixed when we asked for two bills. When one of our diners ordered an item, the waiter split the cost among the guests. Very presumptuous of this waiter to split costs without asking. I presumed I should reduce his tip."

  • "The dining room is attractive and comfortable. Quiet enough for conversation. Lots of choices on the menu and everything we ordered was very good. The portions are large."

  • "We had our office holiday lunch at Sufi's and could not have been happier with everything about our experience there!"
    Dined on 12/20/2013
  • "I have dined at Sufi's numerous times; for both lunch and dinner. I am absolutely hooked on their Chenjeh which is a simple dish item-wise but very complicatedly delicious ingredients-wise. The basmati rice is flavorful and fluffy. The fire-roasted tomato is a delight and the steak is so unbelievably tender and flavorful. I will be back soon!"
    Dined on 12/31/2013
  • "This was my third time at Sufi's. We came with a group of 6. The food is always excellent, but the service is always just a little bit slow. We were glad we ordered appetizers because it took awhile for all of our food to arrive. However, everyone loved their dishes. I would definitely come back and recommend the restaurant to others."

  • "I had heard that Sufi's was good... but my husband and I still felt pleasantly surprised! The food is delicious and truly feels authentic. Plus the portions are HUGE- you will definitely be taking a box home (and it re-heats really well)."

  • "We had to sit on the Terrace, which was heated and actually a better situation for us as I am not the greatest fan of live music during dinner. Which was inside. Setting was great. Serive excellent. Food was very good. I thought the rice was a bit overcooked. Other wise all solid!"

  • "Sufi's was a fun experience. They had live music the night we went, which inevitably made the noise level a bit louder than I expected. Food was good. Waitress was very nice. The LivingSocial Hand-Picked deal gave us the best bang for our buck."

  • "We have taken our friends here, taken our parents here, and had lovely dinners alone here. Every time, the service has been solid, the food has been excellent, and we've left full and happy. I had the shrimp kabob, my boyfriend had the chicken koobideh, as always. Both were amazing. Hummus is the best we've ever had."

  • "The food was excellent; the wine list was reasonable and appropriate for the food served. The food portions were more than adequate. The service was attentive and prompt. Highly recommended for Persian/middle eastern food. The only disappointment was the stuffed grape leaves appetizer. I"

  • "While the quality of the food is good , the price keep getting higher and the portions are getting smaller."
    Dined on 10/15/2013
  • "The food quality is very good. We had lunch there before so wanted to go there for dinner. Getting reservations wasn't an issue and the place wasn't very busy on a Friday night (read into it what you will). The food quality was very very good especially the appetizers (try the Sufi special) however the BIGGEST difference we found between lunch and dinner (quality being identical) were the prices. Entrees were ~ $25 vs. ~ $10 for lunch however the portions were huge. The salmon kabobs were very good and the chicken kabobs exceeded expectations. This is not a bi-monthly or even a monthly place for us given the prices however, we will go there again. There are other similar quality (maybe a notch below) that are cheaper, way cheaper."
