Sue Perette restaurant, on Smith st. in Brooklyn, offers a contemporary french countryside cuisine, emphasizing fresh local ingredients in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Organic and biodynamic wines, along with local & international draft beers. Supporting local artists with rotating… exhibitions. Where's Sue Perette from ? A superette is a little convenience foodmarket of the countryside in France, where you would find local products. Both my grandmothers were named Suzanne, and we are cooking "grand-motherly-countryside" food here, so the name of the restaurant is an homage to both my grandmothers and those little shops that are still the soul of the countryside of France. "Went here for brunch recently. Great food all around--everyone was happy with their dishes. Liked the service--it was attentive and friendly without being obnoxious, and we weren't pressured to leave. Will definitely go back."

"This was our first time there and we'll definitely return & recommend it to others. It far surpassed our expectations and it is clearly one of the better dining out spots on Smith St. Everything was well thought out, well prepared and very nicely plated. The service was knowledgable, friendly and efficient and the cost moderate."

"Very limited menu. Given the quality of the steak (full of grizzle and fat), food only deserves a fair rating. Very little ambient light, to the point that the table candles provided the light necesary to read the menu.

The staff tries, though. A 50% off a bottle of wine if you order before 7 PM on Saturdays is a plus for weekend dining."

"The quality of the food and wine is quite good for the price. My duck breast was perfectly prepared. All in all this is a find for French country fare and we will be back."

"First time here and it was for brunch. Started with Mimosas and had head theEeggs Benedict.. May be the best I have had. Eggs were cooked perfect, Hoolandaise sauce was just right. My only wish was that the English muffin would have been toasted. The side of potatoes were very tasty. Coffee was pretty good as well. Service was a little strained since apparently a bus boy decided to walk out. They did not use this as an excuse and it was New Years Day, so we did not mind. I also would have liked some dessert or pastry options for brunch. We'll be back, probably try them for dinner."

"On the website, the menu looked delicious and that plenty of options were available. So for New Years Day, my friends and I went to try some French cuisine. When we arrived, the menu had been cut down to less than half the selction on the website. The waiter then informed us that one of the 4 entree selections (the roasted duck)was also not available. There were about 3 appetizers, 4 entrees and one dessert to choose from. We were thoroughly disappointed, so we left. I understand that the holidays sometimes bring holiday menus, but then that should have been specified on the website, so we could have gone January 2nd instead."
