We had a great time at Sublime. The food and drinks were pretty good. The chef sent out a very dry basil polenta. Unfortunately, that missed the mark. It needed a sauce or something. The appetizers and soup of the day were great. I ordered the sliders and it was very tasty. Entrees were hot, fresh, and very tasty. The coconut cake and chocolate cakes were very good. The key lime cheesecake was not that great, but not everyone can be Cheesecake Factory. I wish they stayed open later on Saturday and Friday nights. Overall a great high end vegetarian experience.

I have been a regular visitor to Florida since my parents moved there from New Jersey about 15 years ago. Since I am vegetarian for the past 40 years and have been hearing about Sublime being rated one of the best vegan restaurants on the planet, my first experience eating there the other night definitely did meet the expectations that had built up over the past 10 years or so. When some friends from my home town in California were spending a couple days near Fort Lauderdale while I was also visiting the area, the opportunity to experience the food and ambiance with friends presented itself. We were all very happy with our first time dining at Sublime and it made our meeting up here much more memorable. I look forward to the next time.

Sublime, a world renown vegan restaurant is always a special treat. Everything is absolutely perfect. Service is always wonderful and prompt. Servers are wonderful, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food is always yummy. The owner, Nanci Alexander, always visits each table greeting her guests. 100% of the profits are contributed to animal organizations. We love the ambiance and everything about Sublime.

Married to a vegetarian, we seek out vegan/vegetarian restaurants. Sublime disappointed us in many ways, from a limited menu which had one half page devoted to food and three to wines, to an appetizer larger than our mains which was dredged in a sugary coating. The food was bland, the waiter was knowledgeable by rote and the experience disappointing. This was our 2nd visit and will be our last.

The ambiance was great to celebrate my wife’s birthday with the kids. A small request was asked to put a candle on my wife’s cake so that we could sing happy birthday to her and we were accommodated. The owner came by to welcome us back again and followed up by asking how well our evening was. Great staff.

Sublime is a dining experience that should be tried once. For vegans it's a find. The food was good, but I would not say excellent. The menu is very limited. I had the vegetarian lasagna which was good. Appetizer we had the fried cauliflower that was also good. Drinks, I had the watermelon martini (which was not top shelf), which should of been for the price. Service was mediocre. Make sure you tip heavy or your waiter will come up to you and tell you didn't tip enough. (We did find that rude). Overall, I would say try it. However, I will not make this a frequent place to dine.

I've been a vegetarian for over thirty years and I've traveled all throughout the U.S. Nowhere have I found the detailed specially prepared vegetarian offerings that Sublime offers. The cauliflower appetizer is to die for. I have had every entree offered and each time I return I have trouble choosing knowing that each and everyone has has its own special appeal. The restaurant is spacious and attactive with a waterfall glass wall and romantic booth seating as well as tables for medium and large parties. This place is a gem.

I went to sublime about 3 years ago, and was not impressed with the food. I decided to take my vegan friend for another try. The mushroom ravioli was cold and had no flavor . She had the tofu tacos and rice and beans that had no flavor. The cauliflower appetizer was the only interesting thing we had to eat. The server was lovely and attentive.

The food is good and mostly creative, but it is very expensive. I don't mind a good restaurant where the bill can be over $40 per person. We had a moderate bottle of wine & 2 entre's and the bill was over $100 without tip!

My vegan daughter found this restaurant and the very good reviews on line. Unfortunately, all the food ordered lacked the essential herbs and spices that make a good vegan restaurant a standout. When I take a bite of vegan food, I want to be surprised by the layers of flavor. The mac and cheese lacked any flavor and salt. The mushroom ravioli was bland and overpriced. The special salad at $11 contained only a small amount of field greens and sliced cherry tomatoes, not worth the price. The best dish ordered was the portabella mushroom entrée. At least it had a side of grains to accompany the mushroom. I found the coconut cake too surgery, but the apple cobbler was very good.

I have passed Sublime every day to go to work for over two years and finally decided to have my birthday dinner here. The ambience was romantic and quiet. The food and wine choices were endless, yet my date and I choose the fixed price special which was quite affordable and smoke. The dishes were stylishly presented and simply tasty. The coconut cake (dessert) topped off a great birthday dinner!

I'm not a vegan, but I like vegan food. I'm used to going to "hippie" places to eat vegan and I was very surprised to find this gem. You will feel like you are in a steakhouse, but no meat and you can even bring your non-vegan friends and they will have great food. The service was simply outstanding. Our waiter even gave us one of the sides complementary because he recommended us to try their delicious salad, prepared with veggies from their own rooftop garden. If you are in Ft. Lauderdale, don't hesitate to try this place.

I was pleasantly surprised. My wife is a vegan and I am not. I have tried many vegan restaurants for her and I have hated them all. After reading the reviews on Sublime, I thought I would take her there for her birthday dinner. I wasn't expecting to love it or even like it but I have to say, this is the only vegan restaurant I can say I really like. I love the flatbread pizza and have tried a few other dishes which I also liked. Of course, the Coconut Cake is awesome. Can't believe that is vegan. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to non-vegans, and of course, if non-vegan really like it, any vegan should LOVE it.

The restaurant looked very up scale. However, it was below average as a vegan restaurant. Disappointed. Wine was below par. Food was too salty. Bean burger was poor. Appetizers were reasonable. Owner's constant presence was unnecessarily off putting to the experience.

Hits and misses here. Based on their reputation, I was expecting a lot...and what we got was good, but not spectacular. The decor was outstanding, and while the food was very fresh, much of it was bland and uninspiring. The Frito Misto appetizer was excellent, as was the Coconut Cake. Chopped and Caesar Salads were tiny and very ordinary, the Spinach and Chickpea Soup was awful (tasted like water). Lasagna was fresh but very bland, the Piccata was rubbery but did have an outstanding sauce. Our Server wasn't rude but was indifferent and not engaging at all. Overall, we were left w/ the impression of a place we'll try again in a year or so, but we're not running back. Rated "Fair" because of the price, otherwise I'd say "Good."
