Diner Reviews
  • "If you are looking for a place for Vegans this place is a gem. The food was unbelievable can't wait for my husband to get here so that I can take him. The Frito Misto is a must have. The Vegetable Lasagne is filling, and the Mushroom Ravioli was light. This was a great find."

  • "The food was amazing. We had to remind ourselves that the food was vegan which just made eating it even better.no harmful toxins or mistreatment of animals in our bodies! True gem of a restaurant. Very impressed."

  • "An annual visit to Sublime with my daughter was disapponting. Service was great up to the point of getting our dinners. Then the waiter disappeared. My mushroom burger dinner was delicious, but my daughter's vegetable lasagne was not up to par. The waiter never came over to see how things were. At check time, we told him, but he didn't apologize and still charged us for the dinner. More than half was left on the plate. Next time we'll try someplace else."

  • "I was very disappointed in the food and the service. My server had no idea about the menu and every time a question was asked the server had to go and ask someone else. For the food the special salad was not good in terms of taste and texture. For a place that represents it self as a " innovative concept in vegan dining that's completely cholesterol-free" I can could tell that short cuts were made. For instance my vegetable lasagna the pasta I could tell was not a whole grain. When ordering dessert Hershey syrup was used."

  • "Such o nice feeling to combine eating out with eating healthy! Well worth paying a little extra for peace of mind that you aren't compromising your personal standards for eating healthy sustainable food when dining out"

  • "We have dined at Sublime many times in the past, and can't imagine a trip to Ft. Lauderdale without dining there. Food there is a bit different, but always very good, both in presentation and quality. Service is always excellent and staff is very informative and helpful in making decisions. Even non-vegans like myself will enjoy the food here, so don't be put off by the vegetarian/vegan label, the food is always very good."

  • "Had friends from out-of-town with a 2 yr old and 4 yr old. It went GREAT!! Was a little nervous about not have "regular" milk for the 2 y/o but soy milk hit the spot. Noise level was appropriate for everyone to hear the children's low voices. If anything, the laughter from our table might have been too much for others in the restaurant. Four adults and two children sitting at a booth was perfect. Recommend this place to anyone open to great food in a different version than they are familiar with."

  • "Don't cheat yourself for an absolute sublime experience by visiting Sublime - you won't be dissapointed when tasting their hearty, tasteful, animalfriendly and delicious dishes!!!!! We'll especially recommend: * Fireroasted artichoke * Mac 'n'cheese * Mushroom ravioli * Portobello stack * Mushroom risotto cake * Chocolate Nirvana * Coconut cake YUMMY! ...and remember: 100% of the profits goes animal welfare and promoting veganism...what's not to like ;o)"

  • "Went for a great night out with two friends who were in town, one of whom is a vegetarian and who was SO excited to have any pick on the menu. The food was great, the service was good and overall, a great experience."

  • "The entire dining experience from the quality of the food to the caring individual that was our waitress was superb! We had special dietary need and those were met graciously and deliciously! We had two youngsters and they enjoy not only their food but yhe whole experience."

  • "Found Sublime online for my pescatarian husband's birthday. The frito misto is divine if you can digest fried cauliflower adequately! The mushroom ravioli was superb. My risotto mushroom cakes were hearty, dense and I had enough leftovers to take home for both of us for lunch the next day. The asian slaw was so bitter I was unable to eat it. The waiter was gracious and deleted it off our bill. The chocolate cake was delightful. The coconut cake was dense and dry. The icing was great. It was served over a delicious cookie."

  • "The food at Sublime has always been excellent. It is definately the place to take those who don't believe that vegan food can taste good!"

  • "Actually, it was only fair. Vegan restaurants have come a long way in the past decade, but it looks like Sublime stayed with the same food. we ate many dishes, that were all too greasy, yet edible. The seasoning was done without any sophistication. The worst dish was the chocolate cake, which had a butter cream that tasted like margarine, the cake had a sharp smell of baking soda and we had to return it back to the kitchen."

  • "My family and I are not vegans but we love trying out different cuisines. Sublime will please vegan and non vegan palates alike. The cauliflower Fritto Misto is definitely a must try. The sliders made of Gardein and the pretzel appetizer were delicious. We had the Asian curry dish, the veggie lasagna and the mushroom ravioli. They were all very tasty. One of us ordered the veggie burger. We found the sliders to be better. For dessert, we had the chocolate nirvana, the coconut cake, the cheesecake and the apple pie. You can skip the cheesecake but make sure you get at least the coconut cake and the chocolate nirvana. Bill was about 200 bucks for a party of 4 which included multiple apps, entrees, dessert and coffee. It was worth it!"

  • "Sublime offers the rare dining experience where food, service and ambience all combine to provide an unusually satisfying experience. There is great attention to detail here including the restful waterfall room, the delightful Frito Misto and the attentive wait staff. Don't miss this restaurant if you are staying in South Florida."

  • "I've been wanting to eat at Sublime for some time. My cousin (who is not a vegitarian) went a few weeks ago and loved it...couldn't stop talking about it. We finally went last week and everything was great! Hope to be back soon."

  • "I really love this place. I recently moved here from NY (which is FULL of great vegan spot). It was disappointing how few GOOD vegan spots Florida has. I was referred to this place by several friends and I am so thankful! This place has some of the best vegan food I have ever had, I DEF. recommend their Frito Misto appetizer and the Chocolate Nirvana... YOU'RE WELCOME!!!"

  • "We left with a $90 tab for a meal where I can honestly say we didn't like anything. We We couldn't get out of there fast enough. Everything was strangely spiced, weird textures, I don't Even know what went into their "cheese"."

  • "I am not Vegetarian nor am I Vegan but this restaurant was great. We had sliders that looked and tasted like cheese burger sliders. They were really good. I had the vegetarian Lasagna and it was really good. My daughter had the tempura tofu tacos, jasmine rice and black beans and that was really really good oh, and asian slaw. I also had a Tajito a tangerine mojito really good too. Surprisingly the owner of the restaurant came by our table and everyone else's table and spoke with us which was really nice. The restaurant looks classy and you can be casual or nicely dressed. Fort Lauderdale needs more vegetarian and vegan restaurants like this one. I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

  • "We LOVE Sublime! Amazing food that has no animal products whatsoever in any dish, and no cholesterol. The staff is top notch and will help guide you through if you've never dined vegan. The interior is beautiful and serene with a wall of water. I've taken skeptics and were all pleasantly surprised."

  • "I've dined at Sublime several times and it such as relief as a vegan to order anything I desire. On this occasion we were seated quickly, but it was over 5 minutes before our server came over yo our table. I couldn't decide on a dish and when I didn't know what I want he just kind of walked off. Several times during the meal we had to ask other servers for cocktails and to get our server as he was very inattentive. We ordered the pretzels as we do everytime and they are phenomenal. For entrées my meat eating boyfriend loved the sublime picatta and really enjoyed it. I ordered the reef tacos and thought they lacked any real flavor and was a bit disappointed. We will still come back, hopeful of a better experience."

  • "The food is mediocre at best, while the service was poor (not enough personnel, no busboys, waiters are forced to do everything, which compromises service quality). Overall a poor experience."

  • "we started with the frito misto because the aroma from another table was too good not to have one! and the dinner just got better from there - ravioli - delicious!! service was attentive and friendly and the owner stopped by just to say hello and welcome us as first time diners. the online reservations was totally easy and they send an email with reservations, overall fantastic dinner."

  • "I am not a vegan, but my daughter is and since she was visiting Miami, I took her to Sublime hoping to impress her. Well, she was quite impressed and I was blown away. I will definitely make a plan to come back and try some new dishes."

  • "the host is impeccable with a warm welcome and an acknowled our reservation. our waiter and servers were all top notch. the appetizer misto cauliflower was just the right spice, crisp and and moist where it should be...yummy. ravioli entrée with cashew cream was delicate and seasoned to perfection. the sea tacos.....not exactly what we expected however, the flavors were good and you can not beat the slaw, beans and rice....can't wait to go back for more of everything."

  • "Sublime is my favorite restaurant and a world renown vegan restaurant. Everything about dining here is just perfect, from the wonderful staff, knowledgeable servers, wonderful ambiance, delicious goourmet quality vegan food to the owner, Nanci Alexander, personally visiting every table and thanking patrons. 100% of the profits will go to animal rights organizations. The salads come from Sublime's rooftop garden and the soups are always so yummy. Definitely a sublime experience that we keep on going back to."

  • "The service and atmosphere were excellent, but it is the quality of the food that really stands out. Anybody can make great tasting food using the Martha Stewart method of smothering everything in butter and cream, but it takes real skill and imagination to make great tasting food without those things! I"m from Buffalo, NY; I'd be here once a week if you had a restaurant nearby."

  • "Great restaurant for vegans and vegetarians. Beautiful restaurant and ambiance. Desserts are wonderful but little bit disappointed in the food. The dishes we had were not organic and one could tell the difference. Still, it was a nice night. Coconut cake and homemade ice creams are highly recommended."
    Dined on 2/23/2014
  • "The restaurant is spacious and lovely with friendly staff, however, the food was bland...nothing amazing, frito misto & mushroom ravioli were good, and the rest was flavorless and very oily (artichoke appt) PS the owner stopped by our table a couple of times to introduce herself and check on us, what a sweet lady:)"

  • "It was very busy on V-Day. Waiter was excellent. Outstanding actually. It took exceptionally long for the food to come out of the kitchen though. Understandable for the special occasion. I would go back. food was delish leaving you wanting more. We had a full course appetizers, alcohol, entrée, sides, and desert. excellent."
