Enjoy lunch in our lush greenhouse, brunch on our cafe terrace or a memorable dinner under the stars after the retail store closes, Wednesday through Saturday.   • "We ate outdoors and a lovely summer day and enjoyed spritzers. You can mix and match your own flavors and we had lime/mandarin and lime/raspberry. Delicious bread arrived first, baked in a flower pot. Maple and salted butter was a tasty spread for it. Then burgers arrived, piled high! The only complaint was the burgers were so HUGE. Melted gouda cheese, grainy mustard, and caramelized onions made it one of the best burgers I've had, however. It was full of flavor. The fries were great too, sprinkled with herbs. Would love to go again!"

  • "I LOVE terrain and the cafe and the food is always great; however, I really couldn't enjoy my brunch on Sunday because of the unbearable temperature of the dining room. I understand the dining room is in a greenhouse but on a hot summer day I really expected there to be fans or an air conditioner keeping diners cool. Unfortunately I spent most of my meal sweating and I couldn't wait for the check to come so I could get the heck out of there. I will definitely be back, just never in the summer."

  • "We love to try the tasting menu. If you order 5 courses, it is equivalent to getting 10 different items since they bring out two completely different dishes. We share and get a chance to taste 10 items. What fun! Food was delicious. The setting is very natural with lots of live plants, mostly ferns. You need to bring your own alcohol."

  • "I read about Styer's from several trendy lifestyle blogs that I follow. After pouring over the posts, I made it my mission to trek from our home in Washington, DC to the little garden getaway. This place lived up to ALL of the hype. From the moment my husband and I walked in, we knew that we were in for a treat. It was dreamy and artsy and felt so Anthropologie-esque. The food was amazing and the service was seriously top notch-- especially for being called a "cafe." Reserve the day to tour around and walk the garden area, as it is an experience in itself. I don't garden, but I certainly left there with an urge to start one!"

We've been there before where there were several options available, but this trip, EVERY veg option was mushroom-based (and 2 in our party don't eat mushrooms). There were also no specials, so the menu was very limited even for the non-veg in the group. Considering the price, will probably not return."

  • "The food was mediocre. My quiche was dry although the potatoes were good. Salad was ok. Quinoa dish left a lot to be desired. All in all it was not worth the price. The bread was also over baked. I have been really happy in the past but very disappointed this time. I am coming again onThursday with some friends ( I recommended your restaurant) sure hope I am not disappointed again. If I am not happy I will not return."

  • "Farm-to-table style restaurants seem to be all the rage these days but this is easily the best I have tried so far. The first thing you'll probably notice is the ambiance. If you can, try to get a table in the greenhouse for the full experience. I absolutely love the natural beauty and the design of this place. While great ambiance is always nice, the most important thing is the food and Styer's does not disappoint. You really can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu because everything I have tried here is superb. If I had to choose, I would recommend coming for brunch and having the fluffy and delicious pancakes. If breakfast food isn't your style, come for dinner and have the 5-course Chef's Tasting selection."

  • "I LOVE terrain but the food and service at styers garden is overpriced and the service of the waitresses is worse than a Wawa. I love bringing guests here to visit but the price of what you get is pretty ridiculous. A tiny salad is $15 and a side of bacon is $8 to go with my $20 pancakes. The menu could also use some work!! This particular visit I had friends in town so I made a reservation on open table and showed it to the check-in desk and somehow they did not have it. So they rescheduled me to a later time and I had to wait around until they called me... I would take friends to terrain visit, but skip styers and go somewhere with better food and service!!!"

  • "Unlike the last time I dined here for lunch, the mushroom soup was like a thick pudding--I'm all for a hearty potage but this was a creamy soup that was prepared with the help of a food processor or blender. Definitely too thick. The King Salmon was not impressive.The "new" version on a retro Surf and Turf was pitiful--basically about 4oz of tough steak cut in a couple of pieces swimming on a whipped creamy potatoes which should of had a thicker consistency, with two measly small poached shrimp which were essentially a useless garnish. Surprisingly, the 16 dollar hamburger and fries was the best entree."

  • "Although the ambience is serene and unique, I found the lunch menu to be very limited and expensive. I had the cold sour apple soup and was disappointed with the taste. We had the salads, which were okay, but nothing special. We did love the flowerpot bread and special butter. At first the restaurant was fairly empty and was quiet and relaxing. As the restaurant filled up (greenhouse section), it was quite noisy and difficult to hear our conversation."

The restaurant lived up to my expectations! Food was beautifully presented, fresh, healthy and delicious. Servers and staff we friendly and knowledgeable. Setting was unique and restful. The compound butter with lavender and molasses on individually baked breat straight out of a flower pot was heavenly! I went right home and tried to replicate it! Will be back for a rantic evening meal with my hubby."

  • "The risotto was soupy and the texture was hard. Even though the restaurant was not crowded, the wait for our food was unusually long, and there was no apology. My dining companion ordered her burger medium-well, and it was delivered to her medium rare. She sent it back, and when it was returned about 15 minutes later, it was charred on the top and well-done inside. More then once, we had to ask for more water. In addition to the problems with the food and service, the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with back issues."

From the first taste of the warm, just made, crusted bread with lavender molasses butter to the final sip of hot, richly brewed coffee, our brunch exceeded our high expectations. We look forward to our next visit."

  • "I continue to always have EXCELLENT service here as well as thoroughly enjoy the food! This night was a perfect night to sit outside and the hostess even sat us early at a table with umbrellas to shield us from the late afternoon sun. We had Christopher again and he helped us with food choices for apps, entrees and dessert. I had the scallops with a summer succotash and I cleaned the whole plate. Sure the scallops could have been a bit bigger but they were done nicely and were delicious! We shared the cauliflower fritters - good, but small, small portions to share (3) the bbq sauce with it was outstanding. Had some yummy elderberry? iced tea which was delicious. Ended the meal sharing a SMALL mason jar pie - $11. - crazy price for it"

  • "I want to love this place as much as my wife, because it (the café and Terrain) is her happy place and I love taking her here. But the prices are absurd. You don't put smoked Gouda, one of the cheapest commodity cheeses around, on a burger and charge $18 for it. This and one other sandwich were the only lunch options under $26. They used to have a more expansive menu with a better price architecture, but that seems to have disappeared with the new chef."

  • "Terrain is very close to our house so we have been frequent visitors since it opened and have usually been very pleased. Two trips ago, however, the food was awful (baked ricotta that had no taste and looked like a gloppy unappetizing mess and chewy lobster with thick soggy gnocchi). This past Friday, the food was good (exceptional scallops, good spaetzle and burger, dessert just ok) but the service was awful. Place was full but only two servers, although the hostess/host were helping out. Perhaps they were short staffed in the kitchen. Who knows, but we were not the only diners wondering why our orders were taking so long. This could be a great place if they were more consistent with the quality of the food and service."

  • "I have been coming here for four years now. I have noticed that things are changing, and not necessarily for the better. The service was pretty poor during my last visit. The restaurant was not crowded at all upon arrival and our orders were promptly taken, however, it must have been a 40 minute wait for a salad & a burger. The bread pot (a favorite) was burnt on top. The burger came out wrong and while it was fixed relative quickly, upon return, the fries were cold and I had to ask for new ones (shouldn't it just have come out with fresh fries?). I have never experienced this before at this restaurant and hope it was just a "bad day" and not a sign of things to come."

  • "Had a reservation for 11am. Waited for 10 minutes to get the table ready, but when we were seated there were tons of empty tables. Not sure why it took so long. Took another 15 minutes for a server to come to our table. Another 10 before she returned to take our order. 40 minutes for two orders of French toast, one omelette and one veggie sandwich to come out. All was delicious, but definitely not worth the wait!!"

  • "We have been to Styer's many times, and this was our first disappointing experience. Something was clearly not right, and I expect they were understaffed. Our courses took forever to arrive. Three of us ordered a delicious tomato with peach salad, but one had no peaches. My cold berry soup was tasty but not at all cold, and my friend's mushroom soup was only fair. The entrees were good but not up to expectations. The staff was apologetic and extended free coffee and desert to compensate for what they admitted was not their best effort. We have been very happy on previous visits and will return because everyone is allowed a bad day."
