Miami's sizzling hot new steakhouse: STRIPSTEAK by Michael Mina is slated to open November 2014 at Fontainebleau Miami Beach.

The two-story, indoor-outdoor venue will be sexy, fun, elegant and engaging. Located off the historic chateau lobby in the heart of the hotel, STRIPSTEAK will very much be a steakhouse for today’s adventurous diner – offering a la carte cuts of steak (many of them from the hotel’s on-site aging room and butcher shop) as well as signature specials that go far beyond traditional steakhouse fare. No steakhouse experience would be complete without a killer raw bar; STRIPSTEAK’s will include selections sourced locally through BleauFish – the hotels innovative ocean-to-table live catch program.

  • "We were at the FOUNTAINBLEAU resort for the 2014 Iheart Radio Ultimate Pool Party. Was a little hesitant to book the in resort steak house as past experiences with these type of restaurants have been less than amazing. Well our party of 4 diners was totally impressed and satisfied with every item from a variety of appetizers to the entrees. A highlight was the 20oz Kansas City dry aged strip which was really 5 star. Great food, excellent service and a fair although expensive price is more than you can ask for from a on location establishment like this one. Reserve and dine with confidence!!!"

This place was very romantic and the chef kept sending food to the table complimentary! we had a taste of everything and we were so full. the filet migon was cooked perfectly however skip the truffle fries and opt for the mac n cheese. In Addition, I was a wine virgin until the F/B steakhouse. I asked the waiter what he reccomended because I was looking for a sweet wine and to my surprise the taste was spot on."

  • "my first time here this weekend. ordered filet mignon, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes. Left NOTHING left over. BEST steak and mac n cheese ive had in my 21 yrs of life. Melted in my mouth, worth every dollar. And that "Bella" drink, simply delicious. Sat with 3 others overseeing the pool walk way. Loved every moment of being here. Wonderful way to end my Miami vacation. I strongly recommend this place. Cannot wait to return!"

  • "Although the food is really great, especially the filet mignon, and the wine list is amazing, I'll never come back to the FB because I cannot accept that service was charged at 18% upfront while we were a party of 2 !!! I totally understand upfront service charged for parties of 6 or more as it usually appies in most restaurants, but for 2 it is not acceptable. By the way, what happened to the 15% which is the first level of indicated service level ? When a restaurant decides to charge upfront, isn't it this which should apply ? "

The food was top notch, and the entire evening was perfectly timed with each course. We loved the experience, and plan to revisit on our next trip to Miami."

  • "The food was great, everything was delicious and the service was good to us, we unfortunately went on a "special", really busy weekend and the ambiance of the place wasn't that good, at some point I felt in a Logan's rather than fine-dining... also, we found it really expensive, for $42 as their entry-level steak (and $150 for a Tomahawk) is a little too much. There are top-Chef Diamond-rated restaurants in the hotel that are not as expensive as this one and taking in consideration that they all serve steaks, you could easily skip this one... We felt very limited with ordering food or drinks."

  • "We went to FB Steakhouse because the other top shelf restaurants at this resort weren't able to accommodate a group of 8 people. Everything was fair but pricey around $100 a person. The steaks were good, the cooked fish was cold, the deserts and salads lacked taste. The waiter had a fake French accent and was very snooty. We were there to spend money but but the food was not up to par. Our whole group gives it 2 stars. Don't waste your time; better to leave Fontainebleau and go somewhere else. "

There were two young ladies with us who were there for the first time and they both loved it. One stated multiple times through out the rest of the weekend that it was the best steak she has ever had. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great steak in Miami."

  • "Every was amazing except... when we got home and took a look at our leftovers, 2/3 of the the foie gras we had sent to be boxed up was missing! Since we ate a small fraction of what we order, which cost $22, this sort of deflated the experience - especially since they accidentally sent home the fat we had cut off the steak so it cannot be explained as accidentally throwing pieces away!"

  • "Upon arriving we were a little late so we were told our table was being set up. We went to bar and ordered a drink. We sat there for 20 minutes or so when my husband went to the girls at the desk and asked if we were going to be seated. The Maître d' came over and sat us at a table that was unoccupied the whole time we were waiting. The maître d' didn't even offer to carry my drink to the table for me. After seating us he asked me if I would like a pillow for my handbag I said yes but he never came back. Our server was very nice and the others helping were very polite. I think the people at the desk and the Maître d' could use some help when it comes to people skills. My first impression was not a good one. "

  • "If you're really hungry try the 50 oz Tomahawk steak. It looked delicious but no way I could eat it. I had a filet. It was just right. It comes with a choice of sauce. I picked the horseradish sauce. perfect. My side dish was parmasean fries. So good. Enough to share. The bar was lively. The wines list was so extensive it was incredible. "

We were celebrating an anniversary and the restaurant made it special by acknowledging it and offering a few tasting courses from the chef. Our server, Matias, was top notch - walking us through the menu, giving us some options, and taking care of our every need. The food was delicious. Overall, a wonderful night."

  • "As part of our usual family dinners on Sundays, we pick random restaurants with great reputations and put their food and service to the test. I must say that the service was very good and the food was great. The portions were rather small for the hefty price tag on each plate. Gotham has great servers and their food was great not so sure if it was worth the hefty check. On the other hand we had a great time and the décor and lighting at Gotham was super chic. We didn't spot any celebrities but then again it was Ultra weekend and they were all probably getting their rave on"

  • "I go on business trips to the Fountaine Bleau once a year but I have never tried this place until now and now I am going to come back every year. The food was well worth the bill, I dont usually say that because there can always be improvements in any institution but this place had the finest stake and drink lists that I have been to in my time down in southbeach, dare I saw my entire time as a self proclaimed food conesouir. Our waiter was polite, elegant, witty, and a well respected man. If your going to southbeach I would recomend this place for business or for a more romantic occasions."

  • "Gotham Steak is in the Fontainbleau hotel - this means it is $$$$$, but if you are staying at Fontainbleau that may not be an issue. Service was excellent, and the food was as well. Morton's prepares better steaks, and has slightly better more personal service. At gotham you are served by a whole team of waiters, managed by a senior waiter. This means your requests are translated on to several people and led to confusion at one point in our meal. no big deal, but it can seem like a production or show rather than good service."

  • "Ambience was great, and the steaks were perfectly cooked. Our server was friendly, and attentive, but, as is the case with trendy hot-spots, the server went overboard trying to sell my partner on a bone-in ribeye, telling us the boneless steak (the one he originally wanted) would take longer, as it had just been delivered & was not yet "off the truck." I get it--they are trained to sell--but it's a little disconcerting. It is a steak house: there are few (if any) entrees other than steak & everything is a la carte. All in all though, it was a good experience."

  • "Gotham Steak at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach is one of my favorite restaurants. I bring family and friends there often and have never been disappointed. The ambiance is romantic and relaxing. The servers do not "rush" you out. The wine list is extensive. The Filet Mignon with Bernais Sauce is amazing, as are the Stone Crabs and Salmon. The food is superb and the service excellent I have patronized this restaurant for years and will continue recommending Gotham to everyone I meet. Bravo!"

  • "It was nice, ok but not wow. For the money if I could do it over I'd go somewhere else. The steak and fish was ok, not bad but it wasn't like the times I've eaten fish or steak and thought wow this is amazing. They sat us downstairs it just took away from the experience we were there for a special occasion and we could see any views. They kept missing details I ordered an old fashioned and they brought me scotch. It was just not worth the money we spent. Then the hotel wouldn't let us use our validation after we spent all that money on dinner bc we were there more than 5 hours? We stayed and enjoyed the hotel had some drinks so they penalized us for staying and spending more money."

  • "We were at the Fountainbleu for our 17th wedding anniversary and had dinner at Gotham. We shared the foie gras appitizer which was incredible. We then shared an 8oz. cut of wagyu beef, again, incredible. We shared asparagus as a side dish which was plenty and delicious. For desert we shared creme brulee, delicious. The wait staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was as well. My only slight disappontment was that the sommelier didn't seem to be able to really offer options when they did not carry the a few wines we like. Very good experience overall and will return for sure........"
