Our server - Joel was absolutely a thoughtful and excellent waiter, very knowledgable of the food and how it was prepared, giving us recommendation based on our questions. The evening was topped off with a cake to celebrate her birthday!
All-in-all a very outstanding experience!

Our waiter was extremely helpful describing and recommending dinner options. The steaks were all thick, juicy and cooked to perfection. The family style sides were delicious and nice, large portions. We recommend the Bourbon creamed corn and the Gruyere Mac and Cheese! Also must try the lobster pierogies and tiracassata cake. We will ask for her again when we return in the future. One problem - we were seated on the first floor and when the busser sprayed the table upstairs the overspray landed on my husband and I. We were in formed that it was sanitizer and protocol was to spray the cloth rather than the table. The waitress seemed to be a bit pushy and you could tell she was pushing my date and I out the door because she wanted to leave. We could have stayed for another drink but she insisted in boxing up our wonderful steaks and sides and brought us the bill.

On the other hand, the wedge salad was totally unimpressive and the dressing was over powering.
The lobster bisque was ok but I expected much better from a restaurant of this caliber.
All in all, I would definitely return and would recommend for anyone wanting a great steak.
Also, I went on Easter Sunday and it was a nice touch giving the chocolate bunnies, but the bread thing that looked like a lump with salt on it was very heavy, bland, and puzzling as to why it was served3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMwent there for Easter. The wedge salad was excellent, and the steak was first rate. They rate the sides as enough for two; it would say they could easilty serve four. And if you let them know that it is a special occasion, the give you an small cake for dessert as a gift, complete with a candle. We have gone there to celebrate before and we will certainly do so again. Probably matters who you end up getting. It was my first time there, and was quite impressed with the filet and the lobster bisque - lots of lobster meat in that soup. The boilermaker was okay compared to my husband's choice of big daddy. Ridiculously good! The side dishes we picked were wonderful additions to our meal and the appetizer, sea biscuits, would be worth the trip back on their own. We were also surprised by a small cake for our anniversary but since we ordered dessert, they boxed it up for us. Although much bigger than I thought once inside the overall feel was comfortable and a relaxed atmosphere. My wife and I each tried different salads for a variety. My wife chose the Strip House salad and was very happy with her choice. Greens were fresh and crisp and the dressing served with the house salad has a great taste. I ordered the Spinach salad and it was very good in the beginning, but the sweet taste from the carmalized walnuts and bacon became a bit much after a while. Almost like eating candy. Our meat choices were a 6 oz Filet and a Strip steak. Both done to perfection, very tender and tasty. Ordered a side of the scalloped potatoes that were amazing. It was a perfect way to sample the steak, two sides, and one dessert. The steak was mouth watering and left me thinking about it the next day. The sides were more than enough for two people and we took the leftovers home. They reheated nicely. The waitress was very helpful and attentive. The atmosphere of being in a barn was fun and unique. Chef Ron Larson offers one of the most creative and delicious menus that I've ever experienced. I had the 22 oz, bone in Rib Eye (The Cowboy) which was cooked perfectly. The truffled whipped polenta is a must try. Amazing. For an appetizer, try his tater tots. Much larger than the common variety, and stuffed with cheese and bacon. Also, the Temptation (deep fried lobster tails) is incredible. The century old barn that houses this amazing kitchen and chef creates a unique and most enjoyable atmosphere. The wine list is also top notch.

This was our first time here. We will go back. The staff was friendly and knowledgable of the menu. The steak melted in your mouth. They even gave her a small Birthday cake!
