A word from Strip House
A sultry steakhouse in New York City’s Greenwich Village where old-world glamour meets modern style and sophistication. Experience the combination of charred cuts perfectly paired with decadent sides, such as Truffle Creamed Spinach and Goose Fat Potatoes. And be sure to save room for the famed 24-Layer Chocolate Cake.

Named a top steakhouse by Zagat and awarded four stars by Forbes, the namesake cut of aged beef isn't the only work of art to marvel upon...just take a look at the walls and tell us you don’t agree. Black and white vintage photos of bordello girls from the original 1900’s Studio Manasse collection reference an era of decadence and seduction.

Visit our second NYC location, the new Strip House Midtown at 44th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, or on the Las Vegas Strip at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

  • "Food and service were both excellent. Tables for two are a bit too close together. I am not interested in other diners' conversations, interesting though they might be. Dining experience was excellent. The meal was delicious-service excellent. Tables are too close together. It is impossible not to hear nearby conversations. steak was excellent as was Chilean seab"

  • "As a transplanted NYer I realize that there are many wonderful steak house choices....this one was so enjoyable I chose to visit it twice while in Manhattan on business for the week. "

  • "Excellent steak, amongst the best I've ever had in NY."

  • "I have been to most major steakhouses in NYC and the ribeye here is my absolute favorite steak, bar none. The atmosphere is a little dark and boring for my tastes but dinner was unforgettable. I would definitely come back again and again."

  • "The meat was good but the baked potato was horrible. Fort the price you also expect more privacy. There are plenty other restaurants with much berger ratio quality/price."

  • "Simply my best find, of my pursuit for the best steak house, in NYC. Nuff said!!!"

  • "The restaurant is nice overall. It's pretty quiet & there's plenty comfortable seating. There's a coat check and you're treated very nicely from the door. The wait staff is courteous. The food, though, is a great disappointment. My boyfriend LOVES mac and cheese, but barely touched it; was bland, luckily we added bacon. He also ordered the 16 oz NY Strip, but we went to Red Lobster the next day and had a more tasteful steak. I had the Lobster linguini, and the lobster still had pieces of shell on it that I had to pick stop chewing and pick out with my hands. The pasta was more than Al Dente, pretty hard for my bite. Probably a great place to get drinks and definitely to waste someone's money if you're on a date, but not impressive at all."

  • "Very predictable steak house for quality and ambience."

  • "When you go to the authentic steakhouses on New York, you expect terrible service from a middle aged man who knows the menu like the back of his hand. When you go to Strip House you got all of that, from someone with far less experience and knowledge and a lot less clout. You would expect a server who was waiting on party of 10 to be excited about the large tip coming her way, but she was the complete opposite. She was short, not insightful and a bit snarky when asked even the simplest of questions. She was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth even though everything we ordered was prepared and cooked to perfection. ...its funny how the seemingly easiest thing a restaurant can do is the hardest."

  • "Great steaks, but very expensive wine. Nice for a special occasion."

  • "I had another stellar experience at this fantastic steak house. Always a comfortable environment, incredibly attentive staff and truly, truly amazing food, I would recommend this charming restaurant to anyone looking for a sophisticated dining experience, but without being pretentious."

  • "The restaurant was packed on a Wednesday night at 8pm, requiring us to wait for a table despite a reservation. When we were eventually seated there was a frenzied feel to the service, but whether that was because they were understaffed that night or that's just the ambience, I don't know. As for the food, it's hard to argue with a well cooked steak and the typical sides, and it did taste delicious. But I was struck by the amount of butter and cream used in the preparation of everything -- that's something I never notice, so the fact that I did can only make me assume the quantities they were using were unholy."

  • "after a broadway show we had a late dinner at the striphouse. it was recommended to me by three different people. we arrived at 22.45 h and ordered immediatly. i was served the best fillet i ever had! the retairant was for a friday night not bussy, and the admosphere a bit dull, the only negative point!"

  • "I took my boyfriend here for his birthday because he loves Filet Minion. I, on the other hand, do not eat meat at all but surprisingly, they had many non carnivore choices and the Sea Bass I had was phenomenal, with the exception of the pork that I don't eat that was hidden under the greens. Nevertheless I kindly removed the fish from the greens and dug in. My boyfriend loved his steak and the sides were um um good! He also loved the romantic atmosphere...red is his favorite color:) It's not a cheap place so go here when you want to splurge a little."

  • "Me, my wife and some friends went to Strip House on a Wednesday evening. I had a table booked for 8:30 pm, but I believe we could have gotten a table without a booking. I personally went there to get a steak (Obviously) but they do have other things. I had a medium rare 12 ounce steak, and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Recommending the goose fat potatoes or the fries. Béarnaise sauce and red wine is a must, and they do have a great wine list."

  • "Food was dissapointing, steak wasn't memorable and was far from my Keens experience. Chocolate Cake dessert wasn't memorable for the right reasons either. Big on size, but that was it."

  • "Excellent food, superb service, booked in advance as liked the look of the place and turned out to be a perfect first night of the holiday in nyc. Great ambience and decor."

  • "A very good steak in a jolly setting. We ate in the original 12th St. location, with it's Victorian faux bordello decor. The steaks are excellent, though there are better to be had in NYC -- but that's setting the bar awfully high; Strip House certainly has nothing to be ashamed of. I had viewed their menu online and had set my sights on the chateaubriand but was disappointed not to find it on the menu at the restaurant; I asked my waitress about the discrepancy and she replied that they indeed did have it but just weren't featuring it on the menu. Odd. Well, we ordered it and it was spectacular. As were their famous "Goose fat potatoes," which are a crispy hash-browny-like mound that, though artery clogging, is the way you want to go."

  • "From their house cocktail with olives stuffed with blue cheese and black truffle to the last bite every second was AMAZING. Great wine list for all price points. The bone in filet and featured "surf and turf" app were out of this world. Service was very detailed and attentive without being overbearing. Truly outstanding-will be back!"

  • "Food was excellent and our server that night did an incredible job. 3 stars this time is because the host working that night should be replaced. Don't let the male host/maitre 'd work and restaurant will be normal 5 stars."

  • "We enjoyed our dinner st Strip House and really appreciate being given a couple extra bones for our dogs. I asked the busboy and he said no problem and brought out a bag of 3 large bones. Our dogs were very happy as were we."

  • "The food, the atmosphere, the cocktails and the service are all good to excellent. Love the pretzel rolls! The seafood appetizer is filled with diverse items from ceviche to tuna sashimi with seaweed, and of course the shrimp, lobster and oysters. The steak was cooked perfectly and there was no need for salt anything."

  • "I was looking for a good steak house for my bf's birthday and found Strip House. All I can say after leaving Strip House is WOW! The food was perfection and he enjoyed every bit of it. We started with the Warm Garlic Bread with Gorgonzola Sauce, the bread crunchy and toasted perfectly, the sauce was insanely good. He had the Bone-In Rib Eye and I had the NY Strip, both seasoned and cooked to perfection and we split the creamed spinach and the Strip House Twice Baked Potato (it's a must have). Our server was knowledgeable and very nice - checked in on us the right amount of times. Overall his Birthday Dinner was a SUCCESS!"

  • "The meal was outstanding from start to finish. Best steak around."

  • "I had the classic porterhouse for two along with creamed corn, creamed spinach and wild mushrooms. The steak was cooked to what we asked and the server explained each side of the steak (filet vs strip). The sides were some of the best I've had - loved the truffled creamed spinach! The chocolate cake for dessert was great but huge so expect to take it home. Decor was all red (I found it a little creepy) but dim enough to be romantic. The servers were nice and attentive. All in all a fantastic meal at a great steakhouse!"

  • "My girlfriend and I went here for Valentine's Day. The service was excellent, the waiter was very nice and knew when to approach us. He came from time to time to ask how everything was without nagging and bothering us. It was a little tight but i guess that's understandable due to the occasion. The overall experience was great, with good music in the background, a cool interior design and the coat check was definitely a plus."

  • "This was a great place for a Valentine's Day dinner. While neither my now fiance, that happened following day, are big on V-day, this place is a great spot for an amazing meal and great ambiance. With the rich red colored walls, vintage pictures and decor, along with the non-sappy music that was playing, it made fore a great atmosphere. Romantic but not sappy, especially as you hear the likes of Stevie Wonder to Bon Jovi playing in the background. The reservation was ready on time and we were seated immediately. The food was outstanding, and started with their Gorgonzola fondue garlic bread, shared the Cote De Boeuf with their sauteed green beans with garlic and their special of gnocchi which was all amazing."

  • "We loved the relaxed and romantic atmosphere of the Strip House. From the coat check, lighting and decor, to the first class service and amazing food, we felt like we were the most important people there, even though it was a full house. And all were welcome, from people in formal wear to jeans, the more the merrier. The complementary soup and assorted bread basket was also a wonderful touch. We both indulged in the chef special (14 oz fillet mingon), with green beans and asparagus. We can both honestly say that it was the best piece of meat we have ever tasted, we had to eat slowly to enjoy it longer. We will make a point to come back every time we visit New York City."

  • "Let me start by saying this was for valentines day, so Volume was a factor. When you walk in the atmosphere is amazing, very very romantic. Our server was amazing, the bread was amazing, the appetizers were amazing. However, I came for the steak and that i had to send back it was so bad; let me add I am not a person that sends food back. My wife's filet wasn't awful but not as good as others, my NY Strip was burned to a crisp and tough overall. The next night I went to Mortons and had significantly better steak. Strip house is GREAT for the atmosphere and the desserts, but I felt like the steak perhaps was rushed. I don't know I'll go back."
