A word from Strip House
A sultry steakhouse in New York City’s Greenwich Village where old-world glamour meets modern style and sophistication. Experience the combination of charred cuts perfectly paired with decadent sides, such as Truffle Creamed Spinach and Goose Fat Potatoes. And be sure to save room for the famed 24-Layer Chocolate Cake.

Named a top steakhouse by Zagat and awarded four stars by Forbes, the namesake cut of aged beef isn't the only work of art to marvel upon...just take a look at the walls and tell us you don’t agree. Black and white vintage photos of bordello girls from the original 1900’s Studio Manasse collection reference an era of decadence and seduction.

Visit our second NYC location, the new Strip House Midtown at 44th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, or on the Las Vegas Strip at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Diner Reviews
  • "I had a Bone-In Ribeye, wife had a Bone-In Filet Mignon which were excellent! And its signature Chocolate Cake is the best!"

  • "The reviews were terrific so we gave it a try. My husband loved his steak, twice baked potato, and tomato goat cheese salad. My steak had a bit too much pepper. Service was off overall."

  • "The food here is excellent, the steaks is cooked to perfection and the interior in the resturant is a little dark and full of leather just like a steakhouse should be."

  • "Excellent food and spot on service, as always. I'd definitely go back."

  • "Had the porterhouse for 2, the black truffle creamed spinach and the crispy goose fat potatoes. Highly recommended!! And the service was great too. Will go back again."

  • "Our meal started with a round of well-crafted cocktails. We ordered a bottle of wine for the meal and our waiter steered us toward another selection that was $15 less expensive! The bacon appetizer was accompanied with a beautifully dressed salad. The table enjoyed the porterhouse for two and a NY strip steak. The steaks were exceptional and easily the stars of the show. The creamed spinach was delicious and the goose fat potatoes came in an almost egg-like shape - very cool and tasty, too. The waiter brought out creamed corn as well and I'm so glad he did! We finished the meal with their famous chocolate cake. One order was so big we hardly made a dent. I can't wait to go back!"

  • "I've been to a few of the more well known steakhouses in the city and Brooklyn now, and the NY strip steak was the best steak I've ever had. It was extremely refreshing to find a place that actually gets desired temperature right, and the seasoning was perfect."

  • "Would definitely go to Strip House again for a special occasion. Everything from the rolls to the steak was delicious. Would go only occasionally because it is very expensive. Over $200 for two people and we did not drink alcohol. The only complaint was a slight odor to the restaurant when we walked in like mildew. The other thing was the hostess asked me to remove my hat. It was not a baseball cap, but a very nice summer hat. Have gone to other steakhouses in Manhattan and this one was much better. Loved the ambiance, red, great vintage photos on the wall, low lighting."

  • "Went for a quarterly dinner with my two closest business colleagues. Once seated at the table, everything was excellent. The wait staff was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive without any sense of hovering. The steaks were terrific and the sides, (an afterthought at many places), were every bit as enjoyable as the main dishes. Two quibbles, though: (1) I don't understand why reception insisted that the entire party (of 3) arrive before we were seated, and (2) bar prices were over-the-top (even for a good Manhattan steakhouse). In the end, I would recommend, (just get there with the entire party in tow for immediate seating and to avoid the bar)."

  • "I was disappointed in the food quality on this particular night. Steaks and most of the side dishes were overcooked and lacked flavor other than being slightly over salted. My past experiences were better. Not sure if this was a one-off evening or if something at the restauarant has changed."

  • "we decided to come to this place on a sunday evening instead of saturday and we have to say it is worth coming here. The noise level was totally fine, the food was tasty and the portions not to small and the meat just fantastic. It has its price but you get great price/value. Go and enjoy an evening in a good atmosphere and nice food."

  • "You can't go wrong here. It's a little pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. It was our first time at the restaurant so they brought out a complimentary cheesecake after we were done with our entrees. The filet mignon was amazing! Melts in your mouth. Everything about this meal was excellent, from start to finish."

  • "Wanted a spot I could get great food and talk without the noise being to much. The place has a great feel with that experience you look for when dining. The steak was cooked to perfection and the wine we had topped it off. The best part of the experience was we never felt like we were being rushed on a busy Friday night. The server wasn't continously over top of us but check in on us enough that we felt cared to. Last the price of the meal for two and a bottle of wine was fair. I will def be back"

  • "The steak was burned. Price are very high and food was average, we can't recommend the strip house!"

  • "Please put ripped potatoes back on menu. Your other offers don't compare."

  • "Service robotic & boring. Food mediocre. Seated next to a threesome when entire restaurant empty. They got ketchup with their fries not me! and there was no salt or pepper on table (some restaurants do this for a reason not affectation. food over-salted by chef. Oh, and I dropped significantly more than $100 for a super salty badly trimmed supermarket steak, salty fries (w no ketchup) and a serving of over-buttered broccoli. No alcohol - just sparkling water! (last interesting comment: the bread bowl was placed on the table and after consuming one piece - BEFORE ordering lunch - the busboy started to remove the bowl, simultaneously asking, "Are you finished with this?". Curiouser and curiouser..."

  • "I must admit the quality of both the food and service has dropped considerably. The meat is hardly prime and was tough, and filled with gristle. The outside was over salted and burnt (rather than crusted) and was a far cry from the medium rare I ordered. The bread was stale and not what it should have been for a Friday night at the height of the dinner rush. On top of the food the waitress and busers were pushy clearing food and beverages before they were finished, and on top of this the waitress dropped a knife covered in chocolate cake from the table next to mine down my arm, she did apologize but could care less at my overall satisfaction. As someone who frequents this restaurant I was very disappointed in my experience."

  • "When we entered, the gentleman at the door had a bit of an attitude. Likely because we were an older group and my husband chose to wear shorts since it was a very warm night. Once seated it was tough to hear the person across the table, even more so than STK which we've been to several times. None of us ordered steak which disappointed the waiter a bit. Food was just OK, not great. We chose Strip House since we've been to a few other BR Guest restaurants and were also happy with the choice. Don't think we'll go back. "

  • "I've never been to Striphouse before, but I chose this location by recommendation from a friend as my anniversary dinner with my girlfriend. It was everything I could've hoped for a special night out! The menu was well balanced, and everything we ordered was superb. I also really appreciated the service for preparing a special table for my anniversary and making every effort to make it a memorable night! Although it is pricy, you definitely pay for what you get! I will definitely be coming back for special occasions!"

  • "Me and my boyfriend were visiting NY for a conference and wanted to try a NY strip steak. and also we celebrated my bf's birthday. The waiter was friendly. the pretzel was a bit too salty. my bf ordered NY strip and I ordered fillet mignon. We ordered medium and they were just rright. We aslo got creamed spinich and crispy goose potatoes as sides."

  • "My second time at the Strip House and I was so excited to be back, this time with family. We all love filet, though one opted for lobster linguine, which was also fantastic. The steaks were perfect, but so were all the other details, from the brilliant new pretzel breadsticks to the amazing creamed spinach and Caprese salad to the incredible pumpkin creme brûlée. A wonderful way to celebrate. Great Manhattans, too, by the way!"

  • "Everything was very good. The steak was prepared and seasoned well and the sides were really good. You're close to your neighbors and if you get a loud one, it could be hard to maintain your conversation. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. My two complaints are that the waitress never read the specials to us, but they did to the table next to us. I also wanted surf and turf and I had to order two different dinners and not one combo. Not really the end of the world!"

  • "With my sister's birthday coming up I suggested a nice NYC steakhouse and Strip House came up as one of the best offerings in NYC. Being a big carnivore, I've had some pretty good beef (most notably in Texas where high quality beef is abundant and expected), so I had high expectations. I don't see why anybody would get any steak cut besides a ribeye; as the ribeye's marbled richness makes it the best cut in my opinion (fat is flavor). Strip House's 20oz. bone-in ribeye was perfect, with a superbly seasoned outer crust of just salt & pepper, that allows you to enjoy the quality of the beef's natural flavor. Service was equally superb with very attentive and courteous staff. I wish there was a larger allotment to expand on my review!"

  • "Our server was very sweet...and very intrusive. I can't count the number of times he came over to ask whether we were enjoying our food, whether we wanted refills on our drinks, whether we wanted more bread, whether we wanted to hear about the specials, whether we needed more cream for our coffee, etc. etc. etc and on and on. Really, we're big girls: If we need something, we know how to ask for it. And then, when I did specifically ask for something, he bailed. At the table across from us, three women were enthusiastically taking pictures of their food. In a dimly lit restaurant. Using the flash on their cameras. Which meant the flash was going off in my eyes. I asked our waiter to ask them to turn off the flash, and he did....nothing."

  • "This place was GREAT!!! We were in town for the weekend and really wanted a steak house. Strip House was recommended and I loved it. I don't normally go to steak houses (because I'm cheap) but this was very reasonable. I had the special which was a filet with a bone. Delicious! The potatos were fantastic but definitely enough for 2 or 3 people; same goes for the asparagus. We did not get dessert but I was truly stuffed, but the table next to me got an enormous piece of chocolate cake that looked delcious (and big enough for 3 or 4 people). Enjoyed the enivornment which was dimly light and had old time decor."

  • "Strip House is our go-to for steaks in the city. Two things: the service was a bit rude for the first time, and all 4 of our steaks came out too charred on the outside as in burnt. I am all for char and that's why I go to eat out for steaks, but this is the first time our steaks have come out that charred (the previous 5 times there the steaks were perfect). The steaks were cooked to the right temperature on the inside just burnt on the outside (not the nice crispy char but burnt). I hope it was just a one time thing, and the service and steaks will be better next time. "

  • "We have been to this location numerous of times for dinner and it has always been amazing. The staff without a doubt, the best! Must have been an off night in the kitchen or something! Ordered a lobster for the table & it was horrible- like it had been sitting around for a while & the chef put it on the grill to heat it up then serve it. It was so dried out you had to soak it in the butter! Disappointing Mother's Day dinner. "

  • "We dine at the strip house on every trip to NY but I think this will be our last time. Bit of a mix up with the reservations, I booked for 8.30pm, the hotel reconfirmed it for 9pm & we weren't seated until 9.40pm so a long wait as we arrived at 8.30pm. Got a seat at the bar & had some great cocktails served by a wonderful bartender. Food is always excellent here but tables are far too close to one another, don't expect an intimate conversation! we left feeling a bit deflated, no-ones fault it just all felt a bit chaotic. Steaks are incredible though."

  • "I have to say, everything was pretty amazing. I'm from Texas, and I can appreciate a good steak. Though I wouldn't go far as to claim that the NY Strip I had was better than where I come from, it was definitely good. Maybe a bit on the salty side, but a great cut of meat. The service was great, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. I'll tell you this, if you happen to go, please order the truffle creamed spinach. I can't stop thinking about it. Definitely the best thing I ate. I want more. Moooooore."
