We selected the La Strega salad to split and it was so delicious. The bread and the olive oil were amazing! We also had the Lobster Fra Diavolo and a Short Rib special that were both amazingly delicious. We headed in to celebrate birthdays and were pampered by the staff from the moment we pulled our car up to the valet. Dan the AGM is amazing. I've never met such a gentleman and someone who is so on top of his game anticipating needs and noticing everything that's going on. A true gem in the restaurant world. From start to finish everything was perfection. The imported Buffalo Mozzarella melts in your mouth, the scallops and shrimp in a Grand Marnier sauce were delicious, and the sea bass was the best I've ever had. Plenty of healthy choices on the menu, but it's worth the cheat for the fresh gnocchi or other homemade pastas, and the desserts are worth the calories as well. Every employee was attentive and treated us like royalty.I will highly recommend this restuarant to everyone I know. The food was outstanding, I ordered the sea bass special. Every manager came by to make sure we had everything we needed along with a special greeting from the owner.

I had what was described as the "Cowboy" Rib Eye steak. It was a bone-in rib eye that wasn't as thick as I expected it would be, based on having rib eye many times in other restaurants. It was very tasty, however.
My wife had a 'surf and turf;' a stuffed lobster tail and filet mignon, both of which that were very large portions. With a price to match, I should mention!
Our waiter, Vincenzo, was charming and very attentive and helpful!
The owner, Nick Varano, made a point of visiting practically every table in the place during the time we were there. A nice touch.

The food was delicious...short-rib special incredible!!! The atmosphere was right. The service was perfect! Between our server and the bus person, they really helped make our experience a memorable one.
I don't think I have ever shook the hand of my server before, but he was so authentic that he made my wife and I feel as we were leaving that we were saying goodbye to a friend and thanking him for having us.

Their meatball was the best I have ever had. The short rib risotto was so rich and filling and it infused me with warmth. It was the ultimate in comfort food. The shrimp scampi was light and flavorful. I loved it. The service was fabulous. They were able to accomodate someone in our party that has major food allegies and the food they served was just as wonderful as items on the menu. I would highly recommend going to this restaurant. The waiter was excellent and it was my first time there so he made excellent recommendations, we loved everything he suggested, although, I'm not sure anything on the menu would have been less than amazing. It was a great night, great dinner and drinks and excellent service. Claudio was our server, ask for him! We can't wait to go back again. We may make it a regular stop rather than just a special occasion stop.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe depressing thing, to me,The depressing thing, to me, about this restaurant is that it has the same menu as Strega North End, at least to the best of my vague recollection of that other menu. The South Boston/Waterfront area has a totally different feel to it than does the North End, so the menu perhaps ought to have changed. That said, the food was absolutely fantastic and our server was energetic, helpful, and knowledgeable about both the food and the wine.
