It's about taking in a culture,and at Street Food Asia, you get the chance to "wander" different streets in various parts of Asia,picking up a dish of fried rice here, steamed dumplings and pot stickers there. As someone not likely to ever make it to Asia, I appreciate the culinary tour. Plus, the food is delicious. The urban atmosphere makes this restaurant special. Close your eyes and use your ears and nose. You're on an Asian street. Street Food Asia in Albuquerque's Nob Hill stands out for a number of reasons. Their food is fresh, delicious, and seasoned as you like. Their urban atmosphere clamors and shakes and the smells from the kitchen tales of other worlds. The variety of foods and the inventive ways to combine them should keep any diner coming back for more."Continued

  • "So apparently, Streefood Asia is closed for remodeling, but OpenTable didn't get the memo. We showed up to find it dark :( Odd, especially since I clicked on Open Table link from the restaurants own webpage! Once we got home, we checked and noticed a quick sentence on their Facebook page about being closed. Great, a lot of good that did us. They really need to update their webpage as does Open Table."

  • "My wife and enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was good and there was plenty of it, we both left with a second dinner. Prices were good at about $13.50 a plate for dinner. The place was packed and the wait staff was a little rushed, not rude, but rushed..."

  • "The lobster was like chewing on shoe leather, The food wasnt served at the same time, my friend sat there and waited 15 min while I was served my meal. The waitress was very unorganized. The food wasnt nothing spectacular to boast about I dont know why it has the Best of ABQ."

  • "I would go back, but not as my first stop. The food was good, but the language barrier in ordering with our particular waitress was a challenge. We got someone's edamame...but couldn't get her to understand it wasn't ours. (It was tasty though.) And it's very noisy. It's a very loud space."

  • "We made a reservation via open table a couple of hours before dinner. When we got there, the host was annoyed that we made a "late reservation" and complained loudly to other staff before seating us. Our server was less than attentive and forgot half of our order, which we didn't realize until only half of our food came out. Despite all of that, I will go back again and again for the awesome Asian fare! Also, the Chef/owner is very friendly and always helpful."

  • "We've been here three times now. The food is very impressive in variety and quality. Absolutely everything we've had has been very well prepared and presented. Food seems to be made fresh to order. They have a great menu of asian teas and virgin fruit drinks. The only less than stellar thing we have to comment on is the inconsistent level of service. At one visit we had to wait quite a while for our server and for our meal. Other times we had very friendly and helpful servers. You will definitely need some recommendations from your server on your first visit. We recommend sharing your dishes so you can taste more of the many dishes."

  • "This restaurant has a vast menu covering many cultures in Asia. Our server was great and suggested dishes tailored to our tastes. This restaurant was slightly pricier than what I would expect for a college student hangout. The only criticism I have is that since I made a reservation, I expected to be seated at an appropriately sized table. I was seated at the one large group setting in their restaurant with other dining groups. There were plenty of tables for 4, but none were reserved for me. A bit disappointing to sit on a stool when others without reservations were sitting in more comfortable chairs."

  • "Difficult to decipher the menu with multiple choice served in a variety of national techniques. Food was fresh and flavorful, and provided in large quantities. We had a sampler plate which could have been a meal for two. We will return again for another shot at the food styles."

  • "We were glad we made our reservation since otherwise they may have closed before we got there on New Year's Eve at 10 PM. Thankfully we got royal treatment and the chef 's suggestion of the lobster in three different sauces was spot on. Although, we decided we would have preferred one main dish to have been shrimp. Lobster can be tricky to eat gracefully. The meal was delicious, but the service was somewhat off...water not brought out right away, wine took awhile to be delivered but the food and atmosphere were great."

  • "The menu goes on forever, but luckily the staff will help you choose something approriate. However, as far as I can tell, I NEVER received a reply from OPENTABLE telling me that I had a reservation. Had to drop by the resturant to check that they had received a reservation request from you. This is the first time this has ever happened."

  • "The restaurant concept is clever: put a handful of food types together (such as wraps, rice cakes, sandwiches, rice bowls, noodle dishes, curries, dumplings, spring rolls, grilled meats, wok fried foods, and more) from many Asian countries and let the diner choose from a ginormous menu. If you can't make up your mind or if you don't see your favorite, just ask and the kitchen will do their best to accommodate you. You should probably read the menu online before you go. Tai Tok invited me to dine with a collection of good friends, and he would cook for us. No menus for us, everything was to be his choice. Last night, on my 78th birthday anniversary, ten of us showed up to sample his special dishes. Are we all glad that we did. Fabulous!!"
