Strata Restaurant and Bar serves Contemporary American Cuisine. Strata is located in front of Vintage Park Shopping Center by Hwy 249 North facing Louetta Road. Strata offers dishes made from fresh seasonal ingredients with a wide array of entrees from steaks, seafood, pasta, sandwiches, vegetarian and gluten free options. Signature favorites to enjoy include the Filet Mignon, Kobe Burger, Pork Schnitzel & Chilean Sea Bass. Complete your meal with our famous white chocolate bread pudding or Chocolate Nirvana and after dinner cocktails or a glass of wine. Strata is open daily for Lunch, Dinner and Saturday and Sunday Brunch. Two private dining rooms are available for business meetings or special events.   • "We had s 7 pm reservation to celebrate my friend and my birthday which is the same day and we arrived early to happy hour, we were sat on patio and waited 30 min and no one came to help us. Then we went inside to a table by the bar ordered empanadas off the happy hour and still no one helped us, took for ever. Hardly anyone in restaurant. We thought of then moving to the dine area to our 7 o clock reservation, but we were scared with service so decided to leave and went to El tiempo cantina."

  • "We have eaten here twice before and really enjoyed the food. This time we went for Fathers' Day brunch and were diappointed. The pork chop and cornbread pudding were very dry. Asparagus stems were woody. We were shocked that the crepe entree with strawberries were just 2 crepes filled with strawberry preserves. The poached pear salad is excellent as was the filet. We ended up playing musical plates for the family to all have something to eat."

  • "We felt that as soon as our waiter (never heard his name when he said it the one time) realized that we were not ordering wine, a switch just turned that we were not deserving of quality service because the bill (and tip) would not be enough. We received more service from the other employees by being asked to have our teas refilled and more bread brought to our table while we waited on the food. Our waiter refilled our teas once. Also, when paying the bill (around $50), I paid with cash ($60) with believe that the waiter assumed the change was his as a tip. We waited around for about 10 minutes until he must have realized that we were waiting on our change and finally brought our bill fold back."

  • "The waiter apologized and alerted us that they were short 2 waiters, and he would be handling all the tables in our section. I think he worked hard to make sure we were taken care of that evening. There were 8 of us. I like this restaurant. because the food is good and it is quiet. If you want to have a place where you can carry on a conversation, this would be a good choice."

  • "We have been here before and the food is superb. Everything was wonderful EXCEPT they sat a family with a 2-3 yr old near our table when the restaurant was basically empty. We had 6 adults there for a celebration and the child was unruly and loud. It was distracting our conversation where the situation could have been avoided by seating the family in another location. I would suggest all upscale restaurants be aware of their clientele and seat other diners appropriately. We choose our dining according to the noise level, food and service, in that order. "

  • "Our "empty nest" clatch of long-term friends gathered for a lively Happy Hour appetizer-fest. Our waiter was exceptionally attentive, keeping both the expertly prepared & presented food coming and the drinks full with expert timing. Located away from Vintage Park's "food court" (Mia Bella, El Tiempo, Peli Peli, etc.), Strata doesn't benefit from the visibility and thus doesn't get the attention its quality deserves. Our Happy Hour lasted from 5 to 730pm before adjourning to a member's home, and the restaurant wasn't half full when we departed at that prime hour. The food & staff quality deserves a stronger following - a Brazilian Steakhouse soon to open next door may heighten the profile this gem deserves."

Steaks were very good and the shrimp and grits were excellent. We like the idea do the small portion options. Attentive waitstaff with leisurely service."

Fortunately, my guest was very pleased with his Cajun fish, but my wife said her stripped bass was over-sauced and small and my NY steak was underdone and tough.   • "I really wanted to like this restaurant. It's been almost 2 yrs since the last couple times I tried Strata, and I thought I would give them another try hoping they had worked out some issues. Well, the food this time was quite good, but the service was definitely lacking. Our waiter was AWOL most of the evening, the fondue appetizer we ordered was cold (probably from sitting at the pass for so long), our drinks didn't get refilled unless we flagged someone down, and then our check was wrong. The shiner bock fondue was quite good despite being mostly room temp and congealed, my striped bass w/ risotto was excellent. The other waiters seemed really good, and we started to develop waiter envy."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed Strata. While they did not have the fondue we were looking forward to for an appetizer, the jumbo lump crab cakes were a perfect substitute. We both had seafood dishes. I requested my Salmon Medium-Rare, it came medium, but was not dried out. Service was great, no over-bearing waitstaff or buss-boys. My only complaint is that they continually offered refills on our lemonade, even before the glasses were empty, and then charged $1 per refill. Overall a great dinner and great service."

However, once everyone was there, the food was VERY slow coming out and my wife's food was cold. Most everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The server was personable and good about bringing coffee to my mom - which is a real plus. We've been several times - both dinner and brunch. I like the idea of the brunch menu, but wish there was more of the dinner menu available at brunch. The alternative is the lunch menu. Basically, as the title implies: good but not great."

  • "I reserved a table a week in advance for a Saturday night to celebrate my mother's 89th birthday. We arrived a few minutes early and was extremely disappointed when we were shown to our table because it was immediately in front of the entrance to the kitchen and the restrooms, and in just around the corner from the live entertainment in the bar which made it very hard to talk. When I asked if we could be seated at another table, the response from the hostess was that we'd have to sit at the bar and wait for another table to open up. And the estimated time was more than 30 minutes. So, we accepted the table and then proceeded to watch and be bumped by the endless stream of waiters. Hillary, our server, however was superb."
