  • "We thought everything was great, but it was a little overpriced. We would only go back with a coupon."

  • "Nothing more then a fancy diner. Fish was dry. Steak had to be sent back came out cold. Strangest thing they serve water in wine glasses. Small wine galsses at that. Would not recommend."

  • "First time visiting SBG. Everything was "Good", not great. The space is gorgeous with lots of wood, stone effects and furnishings. It feels like it should be fine dining, but it's not there yet. Attentive, but tentative, service. The salad and appetizer were generous and well prepared, although the temperature of my appetizer was somewhat tepid. Entrees were a large portion and well seasoned. Prices are more approachable that other venues in the area, so that's a plus. We will go back."

  • "Three of us had brunch this past Sunday and it was a good buy for the price. There was a good variety of foods and they were tasty. The service was also very friendly. We chose not to have the unlimited Mimosa/Bloody Mary option for an additional cost. Instead, the brunch came with unlimited juice, coffee, tea, soda. Imagine our shock when the bill came and we were charged $8.00 extra for two green teas. When questioned, the server said he told us it was unlimited coffee and tea. Did we know that didn't include herbal tea? We should have been told. That's a lot of money for a teabag. It left a bad taste in our mouth for what was otherwise a pleasant experience."

  • "I don't like to give poor reviews but here goes...We went to Stoney Brook Grill on New Year's Day for lunch with our kids (age 7 and 4). We ordered the uninventive Perogie Nachos. While the flavor was good, it was overwhelming to eat potato and cheese stuffed perogies with cheese on them (and the additional nacho accoutrements). My shrimp scampi pasta had scallops in it that tasted like they grew in run-off from a chemical factory (that's not an exaggeration, it's the best way to describe the "chemically" flavor). The garlic sauce tasted like someone bought a packet of grocery-store, powdered garlic butter sauce and added the required liquid. The only good thing about the meal were the kids' calamari. Even my husband's burger was mediocre."

  • "I've been to Stony Brook Grille a few times and it's a pretty decent place. They have a nice brunch, and the portions are a good size. Most of the food I've had, I have enjoyed but I've had two minor issues. Once, I got a burger too underdone for my liking (I had asked very politely for well done). Then, after having and enjoying the BBQ pulled pork on my last visit, this time, when I ordered it, it had a new, mustard based sauce (not traditional BBQ) that I did not care for. When I mentioned to the waitress I ordered the pulled pork before and this time, the sauce was different, she was quick to tell me it hadn't changed. They did however let me choose something else w/o any additional charge. Overall, it's an okay place."

  • "Nice atmosphere and very good service. Food was good - but not great. Given the price - would have expected a little more from the food. Went for Xmas eve dinner - very convenient location to our home."

  • "Service was terrible - my party arrived 45 minutes before any other large party was seated. Our party did not order appetizers and we ordered within 15 minutes of being seated. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes for our party to be served lunch - all other large parties were served appetizers and their meals were served 5 minutes after our party. I inquired twice where our meals were and was told the 'kitchen is backed up with appetizers'. How is that possible when we ordered meals 30 minutes BEFORE all other parties even arrived????"

  • "The service was paced just right. Nothing came too fast or too slow and the waitress kept checking to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Everyone ordered something different. The portions were plentiful and tasty. In fact, I took half of mine home. I would recommend this place for a nice, casual meal with friends or without."

  • "Consistently excellent. The rack of lamb special was prepared a perfect medium and was delicious. My wife's baked grouper was also excellent. Have never had less than perfect food and service at the Stoney Brook Grille."

  • "My friend and I had a great brunch on Sunday - very nice selection of food - service was very good - We didn't feel the least bit rushed and the plates were taken off of our table in a timely fashion. When full, the restaurant can be a little on the loud side. They could have used additional staff at the omelette and pasta stations, however, if you keep an eye on the line you will be fine. If you are looking for a nice, reasonably priced Sunday brunch I would suggest you try the Stoney Brook Grille, you won't be disappointed."

  • "We were here for a Friday night dinner. We were seated in the main dining room while there was a large party going on in the next room. They kept the doors wide open & the noise carried over from the party into the dining room. It was so loud, we were actually yelling at each other across the table. The table next to us had to do the same... which resulted in a bunch of yelling tables. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. I had the lobster bisque soup, which was so-so. My brother thoroughly enjoyed his burger. My husband ordered the sashimi tuna salad. I have had this for dinner here before and it has been more than filling, but the serving size was cut in half! It was more of a side salad than a dinner portion, but still the same price!"

  • "Good presentation, but fairly run-of-the-mill dishes. The "regular" hamburgers are made with half a pound of meat! The berry creme brulee was particularly good."

  • "I thought the server did a great job the ambience was beautiful/ The food was priced to high for what we got. Example, The special appetizer was chilled shrimp with avocado and mango chutney. The avocado and chutney was larger than the 2 shrimp we got for $9.99! Left there not impressed"
