Whenever we visit Orlando we always make a point to stop at the Stonewood. I think it is a well varied menu. Lots of great fish, we like the herbed crusted grouper and on a cool day I love the chicken pot pie! They make everything fresh and the wait staff is well trained. It is a nice place to take clients which we often do.

It's casual, but one cut above your common chain restaurant. The ambiance is nice, and the noise level is low. The food is good, and the staff have always been polite and helpful. I requested a table in a quiet corner where my husband and I could catch up with old friends, and they provided us exactly what we wanted.

We went for dinner during a very busy time. They were having a special celebration ( 7/29/14) that ended about 15 mins. after we arrived. With that in mind the food took a bit longer to come out, however, once it did we were all very pleased. Not being in a rush to begin with it did not impact our enjoyment of the evening. The service was very attentive and several great reccomendations were offered. I will certainly return and suggest this restaurant to others.

Dinning at Stonewood Grill happens to be a very nice experience. But one should remember is that everything we ordered is overpowering with salt. Please tell your server to cut down on the salt shaker. Besides the over salty food the service was good. The prime rib ordered was very bland and dry but the fish ordered was nice.

It was my friend's birthday, and she wanted to go to Stonewood. I've never been there, but she really liked it. We were seated right away, and everything was great, until my entree. I ordered a sirloin, medium, and I had to send it back twice because it wasn't cooked well enough. The manager didn't come by to talk about it, either. I thought that was strange, considering the restaurant and the entree ordered. Otherwise, everything was really nice and I would probably go back.

I ordered the Lamb Chops - Fresh Rosemary and Garlic Marinated, Cabernet Mint Demi-Glaze. These were the worse lamb chops ever! The gravy did not taste anything like Cabernet mint demi-glaze instead it was more like brown gravy. It lacked rosemary and the chef went crazy seasoning the chops with coarse black pepper. Also their garlic mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes. Needless to say, was very disappointed. There was an ant problem as well. The manager was kind of enough to comp entree and apologized for this inferior meal.

Looking for a nice meal while in Orlando close to Windermere. Should have driven another mile down the road. I don't mind paying for quality food but this was not that. Scallops & shrimp from gluten free menu over seasoned with an unknown and unmentioned spice. Greek mahi-mahi also over seasoned and sauce overwhelmed this otherwise nice fish. My son ordered the salmon and it was the end piece, over cooked and dry. Wines by the glass are also overpriced. We will not go back nor recommend to others. Too many nice places in Orlando to dine.

I was intrigued by the menu, so I had been wanting to try it. The atmosphere and service was good, but for the price, the food really fell short. With tax and tip, my mean (had separate checks) was $60. I had an appetizer, entree and dessert. The crab cake appetizer was okay, I have had WAY better for much cheaper ($13), I order the lamb chops for my entree ($26), they were the tiny chops, the chef was heavy handed on the black pepper (my friends had the same issue with their meals), and very stingy with the demi glaze. The lamb was tasty... but we make better at home! For dessert I opted for the Key Lime Pie ($8), Key Lime Pie is traditionally nice and tart... this one not so much so, it was actually kinda sweet! Will not return.

I get together with 4 girlfriends once a month and we occasionally go to Stonewood Grill. I think we need to make this a more frequent rotation because the atmosphere is perfect for good conversation and the food and wine are quite good and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our dinner - the service was very attentive - and look forward to coming back. One negative...we all ordered the shrimp and scallops, which was delicious, but I miss the mushroom risotto that used to accompany this dish!

This was our first visit to Stonewood and I chose it for the excellent reviews I read about it. It was a birthday dinner for my boyfriend (we are a couple in our 50's). I thought it quite right for the occasion. The restaurant was not crowded, we had 7:00 reservations. We were greeted warmly by all the staff, and our waiter, Ryan was excellent! Not too overbearing but very attentive. The food was excellent, served in a timely manner but we did not feel rushed. Everything was fresh and made to order. When I booked the reservation I did make a note that we were there celebrating a birthday and was a little disappointed when nobody mentioned it. Perhaps my note wasn't read by staff? Regardless, we plan on returning.

Though I've dined at Stonewood Grill before, this meal, was without hesitation, the most outstanding I have ever had!! The five members of my dinner party were all very well pleased with their meals and desserts. In fact, we all said, that we'd love to come back the following day for lunch and try the same grouper entree again, it was THAT GOOD! MY husband and I live almost an hour away from the closest Stonewood Grill restaurant, but I assure you, we will be making the trip back to visit this location, much more often. It was a delicious and delightful, dining experience. Thank you., Stonewood!

Love this restaurant. Great decor and atmosphere. Good drink menu and happy hour every night until 7 pm. Food is always good although they removed the wonderful mushroom risotto from my favorite shrimp and scallop dish. Replaced it with bored rice pilaf. No longer such an amazing dish but still good. We used to love this restaurant 5 years ago. 2 years ago or so, they changed their menu, and some of the dishes we loved were changed and were no longer as good as they used to be. This time, it was very disappointing. We all ordered the prime rib. 1 of us found it great, 1 found it ok, and 2 found it way overcooked. Those 2 sent it back and received a new piece. New pieces went back a 2nd time because they were colder than room temperature when they were served. A third piece was served much warmer, but still slightly overcooked. We settled for it that time. When dessert came, we all had the key lime pie, which was served on a very vinegary raspberry sauce. We used to recommend this place all the time, but can't anymore.

The salads we ordered were warm, room temperature at best, not to mention wilted limpy lettuce, when they should have been cold and fresh. The steaks we ordered were so over-seasoned with pepper and various spices that you couldn't even taste the steak - only pepper. Our stomachs were upset for hours afterwards. One of the filet mignons was not even a 6 oz. filet - but looked and tasted like scraps from a better grade of beed. We've been to several different Stonewood Grills over the years, to include the Orlando location - but never have we had such a horrible experience. It will be a long, long time before we ever return to any of them after this experience.

Stonewood Grill has a quiet dining area where you don't have to shout to hear the conversation as well as a bar area. The servers are friendly and attentive. Service was very good. Attentive but not too much so. Seating is well spaced and the environment is relatively quite. Menu had good option but, they have dropped tuna from the entrees. This is too bad as it was very tasty. Beef is a little over priced. $27 for a three inch diameter filet. Wine list is adequate with good selections. All in all a good dinner experience.

I made a reservation through Open Table for Mother's Day @ 2:00. There was 5 in our party and we were seated promptly. However, the table that we were shown to was in the Bar. I have an aversion to eating in the Bar, unless I am there for Bar food and drinks. I know that they must have had another table in the main seating area for a group of 5 because the restaurant was not busy. Rather than ask for another table, several people at our table said that it was OK to stay where we were. Indifferent service, no ambiance and the food was not up to par, however, the Blue Cheese Potato Chips are still awesome!! We have been there in the past, and we were looking for the same quality as we have had before. Not the best of Mother's Days!
