Nice dinner, GREAT service but food was a little below par this time. Fish was dry and the were pretty skimpy on the portions for the price. Overall our evening was enjoyable and the pretzel sticks with dinner were incredible.

My wife and I really enjoyed this restaurant. The kitchen even catered to our special request. "Adding capers to my wife's lemon butter chicken" . Here you can go expensive or very reasonable. We spent $100 with appetizers, and a bottle of wine. Wonderful!

Oct, 2014 - I visited the Heathrow tavern, just a long trip from Winter Springs. The W/S unit closed recently, reportedly because of leasing issues, and I miss it. The Heathrow unit is pleasant and the service was very good. The food arrived hot and good. My wife had the 12 oz. prime rib and had about half of it left over for my lunch the next day. I had the shrimp and scallops, very tasty.

Steaks were just fair and not worth the price. Steaks are better at Longhorns, a lesser price range restaurant. Fish portions were small.

After having dined at the Stonewood that USED to be on Red Bug Road we were hesitant about trying this one, we couldn't have been more wrong, we were seated promptly upon arriving (7:30) on a Saturday Night (Yes, they were crowded) , Our Server Chad was Knowledgable and attentive without hovering, the soups and appetizers were delicious and the entrée couldn't have been prepared any better, we are so happy to know that Stonewood Grill is still an excellent choice for a romantic (great ambiance) or special occasion dinner. Very happy with everything and will pass it along to all our friends.

My husband and I had dinner last week at Stonewood. It was wonderful. We moved away from Orlando, and had not been year in four years. Well, it was worth the wait. I had the filet and is was perfect. All the sides were great too ,and we celebrated our return with the chocolate bread pudding for desert. It was better than I remembered.

Ordered the Oak Grilled Shrimp as 'entree complement' my steak salad. As they were smoked they weren't bright pink but to serve five pale looking shrimp (not large ones either) on a white plate without even a sprig of parsley or anything to put some color on the plate showed a distinct lack of presentation skill and $5.50 was a bit steep. Steak salad was OK but far too much lettuce and a very small portion of steak, which I admit was cooked as requested. The waiter was great and the ambiance was good although some of their lamp shades are looking a little tired in the main restaurant. They are located next to a good affluent residential area which is why they can get away with some their prices.

We were eager to try Heathrow Stonewood Grill. The one we have patronized on Red Bug in Oviedo has closed -- was our special place for 7 years. It was our wedding anniversary. We were shocked by the pricing in the menu, particularly the filet. No choice of size, just the petite (6oz) for $30? Well, that quickly changed my mind about my menu choice. We quickly retreated to the "15th anniversary specials". My martini was only filled to 3/4, my husband's wine carafe didn't even fill half his glass, and the couple across the way who ordered tap beer got 3/4 a glass. Dessert gift was nice but unimpressive, flavor-wise. Fancy chocolate cake that is dry is no gift. We will not be going back. Worth the drive to Port Orange now.

Went there for my birthday/school graduation. The experience was underwhelming to say the least. I ordered the prime rib with baked potatoes and mixed vegetables. The food presentation was terrible! it was served on three plates with one item on each (as if it was a la carte). my friends meals were underwhelming as well. for such a bad experience the meals were pricey. I will not be going back.

After coming highly recommended by a fellow diner, I opted for the porterhouse pork chops. In fact, all 4 of us did. Phenomenal! They were so tasty, a huge amount a meat (16oz including a small bone), and great value at $22. You can pick and choose your sides. I has amazing sweet potato fries! House salad was delicious and the wine list is great. They even have some great craft beers on tap and a Saturday night Happy Hour! Unfortunately, no room for their fantastic chocolate bread pudding, but that pork was so tasty I couldn't leave a sliver! We had a top class meal for less than $100 for the 2 of us. Staff are all wonderful in there too. Would highly recommend.

We have been going to Stonewood for a while, and have had uniformly good experiences. This time, however, was disappointing. The service was poor, and the food not up to their usual standards. The Buffalo Shrimp appetizer was too spicy, and has been getting spicier each time we go there. The food was lukewarm when served, and my shrimp were half cooked. You would think that the orders would have been checked prior to serving, and not left under the warmer for too long. The waitress was lackadaisical when she could be found. If I was making 20% of the bill, I would be readily available. The kicker was when we were asked who got what when the food finally came. In my book that is close to a cardinal sin!

Be prepared to wait 20-25 minutes to be seated, even with a reservation. The food was good, however the service was extremely slow from the front to the back of house. For instance, at one point the server stated the restaurant "ran out of cups" so he wanted to reuse mine to make another alcoholic drink. That's not okay. Overall it was enjoyable, but the staff really needs to get it together if this is to be considered a fine dining establishment.

I Love the convenience of being able to book my reservation on line My ticket reads that my server was Banquet1 - I'm sorry I did not get her name as I would have liked to include that in my review, however, she was AWESOME - our glasses stayed full & she attended to every need & want with a smile ! SHE WAS WONDERFUL ! Our food was delicious - starting with our appetizers & ending with our luscious dessert. We have just moved to the seminole county area & most of the restaurants we have visited have been a disappointment. Our son was visiting & we wanted to take him for a really nice dinner, hence our choice of Stonewood.

This was my first visit and it did not dissappoint! My family, including three children, took me to dinner for my 70th birthday. The waitstaff was amazing to the smaller children. The food was outstanding! My husband and I really enjoyed the onion soup. It was not oversalted but exactly the proper flavor. The steaks were all very tender and seasoned perfectly. I cannot wait to return for a romantic dinner with my husband.

Don't worry about making a reservation and using the comments section. you wont need it and they must not even look at it either. The food was ....fine... not great. Over priced for the flavor. The pretzel bread was the GREAT and the chocolate cake was great... If I were to return it would be for desert only.

The calamari was the best we've ever had - outstanding. No tentacles were included. The trout, prime rib, and shrimp were all very good while our fourth had the chicken pasta which was just fair. Service would have been outstanding but we were out of water twice, otherwise we had good advice on ordering our meals.

We had a 7:00 reservation. After waiting about 25-30 minutes and watching several walk ins get seated before us, my husband asked the hostess Jodi, when we would be seated. She was extremely rude and defensive and said she can't control how long people sit at their table talking. Ummm...well yes a good restaurant does know how to manage that. Her extreme nasty tone and nasty looks made us leave. We had a great dinner at Shula's instead. We will never go there again because of her nasty demeanor. We were shocked at how rude she was. Horrible service.
