Nothing great here. The food was average at best, especially for the prices charged. The filet mignon kabob was very over cooked and I ordered it rare. The burger was deeply cut into by the chef(checking for doneness?) before being brought to table, thus it was dry and very hard to eat on the messy bun. Service was lacking enthusiasm. Caesar salads were bland with a terrible dressing (no quality Parmesan cheese or anchovies in the dressing?) Chocolate bread pudding sounded great but was really more like a chocolate muffin than a bread pudding. The orange cake was delicious. My beer was not cold and other party members complained the iced tea was terrible. Too many competing restaraunts do it better for these prices.

It is always a pleasure to dine at Stonewood Tavern. The food is predictably excellent, as well as the service. Although a bit expensive, it is worth our $ to have such attentive service and quiet elegance.

I visited my mom in Florida this past weekend. Not being familiar with area, I went on line and read reviews of restaurants. The Stonewood Grille & Tavern off Cortez Road in Bradenton had good recommendations and few troll put-downs. Plus, it was open for Mothers Day! We arrived a bit early for our 12:30 reservation, but were seated immediately. My mom enjoyed the quiet ambiance and the food, which was fish - grouper for her, mahi mahi for me. We each had a fresh house salad and seasonal vegetables with rice. The wait staff was attentive, not intrusive. We each had a glass of the house Pinot Grigio. The food was delectable, including a chocolate bread pudding dessert that we shared. All-in-all, a very, very positive dining experience.

Took my mother-in-law there for Mother's Day. She is legally blind (Barely Sees) due to RP, but they got us a table with good lighting to accommodate her. She loved her prime rib and the rest of us had great meals also.

We brought my mother for an early Mother's Day dinner, the server made us feel rushed, brought out the bill before we were finished with our meal. Never asked us if we wanted more bread or refills on our drinks. The mashed potatoes were cold. The overall experience was not what you would expect from stonewood.

My favorite item about this restaurant is that you can carry on a conversation and you don't have to yell. The atmosphere is fairly quiet. The food is good, we did send a send item back that was way over cooked. I can't believe the waiter brought it to the table and didn't expect us to say something...really? The waiter did bring us a complimentary birthday cake when he overheard us talking about my husband's birthday. That was nice. I will go back, it has the best atmosphere for talking and relaxing.

My wife and I enjoyed another excellent meal at Stonewood. From the well-made Hendrick's martini to the onion soup to the tender, juicy filet that was cooked as ordered (extra rare) and to the chicken pot pie chock-full of white meat chicken, the meal was a hit on all cylinders. the waitstaff was efficient and friendly, and the meal was priced right. I just wish there were more Stonewoods around!

We ate at the Stonewood twice late in march 2014. Food was good, service was great, but for what it is, the prices are too high. Except when ordering a steak, expect a $4.50 add on for a salad or side. Toppings for the steaks also expensive. With no alcohol and ordering the most moderate dinners with side salads, set us back $75 (with tip) for two. They do have some sandwiches and burgers on the menu which we didn't try. Nice place, but considering other restaurants in the area with similar atmosphere and food, I believe this to be considerably over priced.

We were in town and looking for a nice restaurant where we could relax, have conversation, and good food. Found all three here. The short-ribs were great, the Sea Bass and Salmon were fabulous. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. All in all, I'd recommend Stonewood Grill & Tavern to anyone looking for a nice restaurant with good food. Next time we're in town, we'll be back!

We were quickly seated in a rather loud part of the restaurant. The waitress immediately indicated that she was very busy and would be back soon. Within a few minutes she arrived and told us to hurry and we could get our drinks in before happy hour ended. We told her what we wanted and she said that it didn't matter anyway since our drinks weren't on the happy hour list. I ordered a local beer, which was delivered IN A CAN along with a warm glass. The waiter who brought our drinks suggested that I simply drink from the can because they didn't have any glasses chilled. Things continued to go downhill and the meal was mediocre at best. For the prices they charge, it certainly was not worth it. We will never return.

We have had dinner many times at Stonewood Grill , always enjoyable. This time it was exceptional because of our server Ryan. He was enjoyable and made great suggestions. The bottle of wine he recommended was something I probably would never choose and it was Great! He then offered optional to change the dinners we selected and that turned out exceptional. We always know we will enjoy Stonewood Grill, this time Ryan made it the best...... Thanks Ryan!

My husband and I go out all the time to eat. We travel a ton for our job and have to eat out a lot. But when we are home ( the Bradenton area) we love to go out for a nice quiet dinner. With going out so much we find that we are very picky about the service and food and want to fine a spot where the noise level is comfortable. We are so excited to say this place has it all! My husband had a steak and I had fish wow, they were both fantastic. We also had drinks, they were very good as well. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for that great dining experience. I know will be back.

Super food. Salmon was best we've had in long time. Roast beef a tad dry. Good service. Salad seemed like packaged salad. Butter had a refrigerator smell and it was that whipped butter like you get at the Golden Corral. A restaurant of this quality should serve better butter and salad.

We found Stonewood last winter and dined there quite a lot. As soon as we came back to Florida our first time out to Eat was at Stonewood. We usually dine there with a group of 8-10 people and service is outstanding as well as the food. The lamb, scallops and shrimp are my favorites, however all of our friends rave about any dish that they have selected. Also love the pretzel sticks and of course my husbands favorite dessert, Florida orange cake.

Was a little concerned when I found that every other area Stonewood Grill was booked up a week in advance. This one was a 50 minute drive, but well worth it. They had run out of the night's special, but that wasn't a problem for us. We were very happy with the food and service. We used to dine frequently at the SG in Port Orange and always had great food there also.

This restaurant provided a very enjoyable experience for myself and 3 friends. I made the reservation online (very easy) and we were seated promptly on arrival. The food choices were varied, reasonably priced, and every one thought their selection tasted great. It is an attractive restaurant with just the right amount of noise-level. The servers are friendly, efficient, and the Manager stops by every table to make sure everyone is satisfied. We will definitely be returning.

Not your ordinary grill. Comfortable private booths, separated from the busy bar scene. Excellent service: very helpful, attentive and friendly without being pushy. We were delighted with the recommended special (roast beef done just right, with lobster tail cooked perfectly, delicious stuffed potato, nice Caeser salad. To our delight, we could get it split between my partner and me--salad, main course and wonderful chocolate bread pudding for dessert. We have recommended this restaurant to our friends and will definitely go again.
