  • "The lobster bisque is great, as were the fish tacos and sashimi tuna. One glass of wine; one cosmo, and the whole bill, with tax: $48."

  • "A fun place to go, though I wouldn't recommend bringing kids as the tables extend out from the bar. My group of 4 were not at one of those, but at one that was away from the bar. The service was slow, but the food was good. I will go back, but would prefer a bar table."

  • "Love the concept and atmosphere at Stone's Cove. Servers are usually very attentive. Did ok on this trip but we've had better. Seemed only one server was really paying attention to us. He was great but usually 2-4 servers are checking on us. My main complaint about Stone's Cove is that they don't have French fries or other fried foods like chicken tenders. Love their flatbreads. They have other good foods, but just really want to have the option to have French fries or onion rings or fried mushrooms or fried cheese...you get the drift."

  • "prime rib was overcooked and overseasoned. S'mores flatbread featured cold bread, warm marshmallows and molten lava like chocolate that burned the roof of my mouth for four days."

  • "have never had a bad meal or dining experience at Stone's Cove!"

  • "I was very impressed with the place. Wife ordered seafood special (I believe it was the rockfish), I ordered the salmon. Both were delicious, moist, and tender. We ordered fish tacos for appetizer. Ir too were delicious. The pear martini was ok. Stone Cove KitBar won an award for best martini (i am not sure which martini won the award), so my expectations for the drink were high. The smores desert incredible."

  • "I've been to Stone's Cove twice and have thoroughly enjoyed myself and the food both times. The concept centers around pairing dishes with drinks. Though they have entrees, it is far more fun to order the many smaller dishes and mix and match. I highly recommend the lobster salad in tiny ice cream cones and the crab lettuce wraps. Every drink I've had (and sips of friend's drinks) has been a delight. Finish your meal with the oven baked s'mores!"

  • "The food here is absolutely amazing. We had a flatbread (blt), a steak w burbon butter sauce, and chicken kabobs. All there were outstanding. Job well done!"

  • "The crowd was a bit older- in the late 30-40's age group. Being a early 30 with a mid 20 year old, it was a bit surprising. But the food was fantastic and the drinks great. We did have an issue of our flatbread not having the order placed and it took 20 mins before anyone came back and we were able to re place the order. But Mgmt was sorry and comped us for that, so while inconvenient, not something I was upset over. Still left a regular 20% tip and had a great time there. It's my new not dive-y drink spot in Herndon."

  • "I enjoy this place everytime I go. The martinis are fantastic and I love how the menu is set up. You can try multiple dishes because they aren't very large. Fun for a first date or to catch up with an old friend."

  • "We come to this restaurant often on Wednesdays because they offer wine bottles half off and the ambiance is very vibrant. The servers are always very courteous. Great place to go!"

  • "I've been to Stone Cove Kit Bar quite a few times. Never disappointing. I believe I've tried every single appetizer. My favorite is the meatloaf cupcake and the lobster cones. Love the skirt steak with veggies and drinks to die for. It's very energetic and your basically sitting around the kitchen area. such a cool experience for dining."

  • "The food was terrific. Get the crab lettuce wraps. Incredible. Really friendly servers. But you can't hear yourself think. My friend put napkin bits in her ears...and she goes clubbing!"

  • "I always enjoy my visits to Stone's Cove and Opentable insures that I getting sat in a reasonable amount of time. They've smartly added new seating recently. The food is great, though I do miss last season's Naked Chicken Wings. Also, the staff is always great. The only issue that I have is that the noise level can get overwhelming and make conversation difficult, though the seating is ideal for conversational groups."

  • "This place is OK if you are looking for somewhere to eat near Dulles - overall it's nice, nothing great, but pleasant enough. Our waiter was slow to come by at first, but once he heard we were in a hurry to catch a flight, he was very accommodating and attentive. The food was OK, but a little too salty. I got shrimp and scallops on orzo, and my companion got the french dip which he said was fine. The bar selection was nice, they had a good prosecco. It's a large place, very full and energetic, but there wasn't anything outstanding about the ambience, or anything that really would make me come back unless I was in the area again dropping someone at Dulles."

  • "This is one of my favorite restaurants around the Reston/Herndon area, and love the kitchen around the bar concept, and how every server can help you with food or drinks. The crab cakes were phenomenal, and also enjoyed the flank steak with veggies. Very friendly staff and hostess, and it's the perfect restaurant to dine at before going to Ned Devine's to see a band on the weekends, as you just walk across the parking lot where there's plenty of free parking. Definitely recommend this place, and everyone should experience a kitchen bar dinner - very cool!"

  • "For a table of 8, the whole 'experience' took nearly 2 hours. The food was great as usual, but took much longer than expected."

  • "Forget to schedule a Valentines Dinner - this was perfect and they were able to accommodate my schedule. Also like the free public charging station for my Tesla Model S. Will go back. Servers are hustling - but need to ask if you would like to continue to order their Tapas style of entries. We had to wait a bit for them to ask - so be more aggressive to get their attention if you want to order more entries. I loved it"

  • "Stone Cove is a unique approach to a meal. It tries to provide the Chef's Table experience to all diners at the restaurant. It is a hit or miss experience depending upon your interest to interact with the staff and your focus. If you are excited to see the food being prepared, ask questions about ingredients and presentation, then this is a good concept for you. If you want to have a dinner with friends or family, or are interested in a romantic dinner then skip this place. It is not good for more than 4 people at a time. We went for Valentine's Day and that was a bad decision. The food is good and while there is not an extensive menu, it is interesting, varied and well-prepared. Fun for a twosome or foursome who likes the art of cooking."

  • "Went for Valentine's Day. We were seated almost immediately, despite a steady crowd (thank you, Open Table). Our servers were attentive and friendly, and gave good recommendations, answered questions. I had the tilapia with mango salsa (excellent) and my wife had the portabello flatbread. We shared as an appetizer the four selections of spreads with pita chips...very good, but I expected the jalapeno to have more taste. The dessert was a disappointment...strawberry shortcake with the berries soaked in Grand Marnier (?) Not as spectacular as one would hope. I started with a Manhattan that hadt a bit too much bourbon, and a pinot noir was metallic...could be my taste buds were off, but the pinot did not have the rich aroma II expect."

  • "The KitBar doesn't look like much from the outside. They do not advertise often in my area, however once you enter the restaurant, it has an amazing active vibe. The staff is very friendly. The best part of the experience was the food. We ordered several dishes on the menu and each dish tasted absolutely amazing. I truly didn't know this restaurant existed. Many thumbs up to the KitBar!"

  • "Food was great and service good but ww set so close to people that i hear everything they were talking about there are no space in between it is a bar not a restourant ok for drinks but wierd for dining"

  • "We were seated quickly/greeted warmly by the hostess. 3 or 4 "chef-tenders" wandered past & finally one asked what we'd like to drink. (we never saw him again) A second man brought drinks & took our app order/told us the specials. A third man came by about half done with our app & asked if we'd like to order dinner. He did accommodate my request to sub Cheese Grits for Coconut Rice. We watched our steaks being cooked, both medium. We saw them placed to the side to rest. Saw the plates prepared & saw man 2 take them to the other side of the bar. He wandered back within 3 min & brought them to us. Both steaks were tough with little flavor. Grits/Rice were unremarkable. If asked go back I would, but not by choice. Not worth the drive."

  • "I always expect bad service and mediocre food on Valentine's Day. Even though I have always had good experiences with Stone's Cove, I didn't expect much. I advocated for staying home with pizza and a good bottle of wine, but my husband made the reservation on my Open Table account. I'm glad he did; service was top notch. My sirloin was tender and delicious, nestled in a heavenly bed of cheese grits with bourbon butter and an amazing tomato-jalapeño marmalade. My husband pronounced his tequlila-glazed tilapia to be perfect. However, it was the warm strawberry shortcake sliders that made my night - warm biscuits, grand mariner-soaked strawberries and fresh whipped cream in the perfect small portion to cap off the meal. Yum and well done!"

  • "Stones Cove really delivers, both in service and as a fun place to have dinner and drinks. Watch your food being prepared or have conversation with friends. Food is great and this is a fun place. Go on Wednesday when wine is half price."

  • "We were celebrating my birthday the check was already at our table our server told us that it was no rush whenever we were ready. Then not too long after she said that another server approached us and told us we had to settled up and leave. Mind you this was already 9pm and apparently there was another customer waiting on our table. Not sure if I will ever return to this place. The food was moderate but we found some of the dishes to be salty for example the buffalo flat bread was super salty. The filet of beef sliders were tough to chew especially for a filet."
