This was not the first time we have been to this restaurant. We have been several times. The steaks was burnt, grisly and fatty. Sent it back. Received it back, the steak was done perfect, but, they now poured the sauce over the steak. Originally the steak was ordered with the sauce on the side so we could control the amount poured on the steak. The sauce ruined the flavor of the steak and was way to strong of a flavor. There was 4 of us at the dinner so the 3 of us ate before the person received the steak again. At the end of the night, not one thing on the bill. Even as far as com ping the coffee that was had while waiting for new steak. I would say if it was the first time I had been here, I probably would not return.

Went there for valentines day and was very impressed with our experience. It wasn't one of my first choices, but after being greeted right away, seated as requested in the reservation and then followed by great service and delicious food, it would definitely be atop my list for next time! The lobster mac and cheese was so good! The ambiance is very nice as well. Will be back soon, and recommending to friends!

We went with 3 adults and 3 kids and had a great evening. It was a Wednesday, so it was not to busy. Our server(s), waiter and new waitress in training where professional and attentitive. The food was very tasty and tastefully presented, hot, cooked perfectly to our liking as ordered (Medium, Medium rare...) and the portion size was well balanced (Meat, starch and vegetable). The kids meals where fresh as well and portions where generous. They all commented on how tasty their food was too, that speaks volumes. The wine selection is not humangous but has very good variety at reasonable cost. We'll be back at Stonehill R & T.

I definitely think this restaurant has improved including the food and the service. The hostess forgot to mention that there was a coat check available while we went back to see as we had a small booth it would have been uncomfortable to sit on them. Other than that the food was great. My husband especially enjoyed the ribs.

The steak was a bit tough for me but other than that the food was great. My kid is such a picky eater but he finished his chicken fingers. Shrimps were nicely grilled and seasoned and the baby back ribs was so soft like falling off the bones. Creme brulee was okay. Not too crazy about it.

Ran out of their specialty - prime rib! Who runs out of Prime Rib??? Then the replacement steaks were not cooked properly. Only 1 out of 5 was done as requested. Did get reimbursed for the medium-rare steak that was cooked the over well-done. Service made up for the lack of food quality. Did expect better from that class of restaurant. Next time I'll go back downtown.

We have eaten here many times prior and have always been happy. Tonight was a turn off. My finances ribs didn't taste great and the mashed potatoes tasted like they were out of a box. Myself, I ordered the Mac and cheese without he lobster and wasn't offered any other protein to substitute. After I asked if I could have gotten chicken with it the waitress replied 'we don't like to substitute'. Overall, not very impressed with our dining experience tonight. It will be awhile before we try here again. We love the location, and the atmosphere and the ceasers are amazing. Thanks Stacey Douglas

I have enjoyed this restaurant plenty. It has been great to have a high end restaurant in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately I am not a fan of the recent menu/food changes in quality. I had the spinach salad with goat cheese which the cheese wasn't what I expected. I was told it came from a box labelled goat cheese - but it tasted like plain cream cheese. No 'goat' flavour at all. As well the flat bread is nothing compared to what it was before with a handmade dough. Not sure if these are fresh made 'tortilla's' but they fall short as a base for a flatbread. I am a fan of the restaurant ambiance and staff are great - but the food the last couple of times out has been well 'flat'.

When I saw that this restaurant was owned by the Vintage group, I was getting ready for a fantastic culinary experience! While the place is beautiful the food was just okay. Great prices, big portions, but not quite the dining experience of other restaurants from these owners. However, if you are looking for a great atmosphere with pub food, this is the place for you. The night we went there were lots of families and groups, which the restaurant is well-suited for.

I really enjoy this restaurant. Mushroom flatbread - amazing! I loved it so much we got a couple for take out the next night. Home run with that one. I must say, I didn't enjoy the new menu though. I found that the first few times I dined I couldn't decide on what to order, torn between 5-6 items. This time around, I made a quick and easy decision. Options are definitely lacking now, this new chef proved he can cook (judging by the mushroom pizza-seriously still thinking about it!!), but he doesn't know how to put together a good appealing menu. I also think that the steak sandwich should be brought back. There are countless good reviews about it, why would you take it off!?

    OpenTable Diner Since 2011
    Dined on 8/3/2012
We have enjoyed this restauraunt many times in the past. On Friday night it was extremely quiet. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty at 8:30, it took 40 minutes to get 2 appetizers. We also needed refills and hardly saw our waitress in that time. The menu had also changed, and was not updated on the website (my favorite dish was gone). Our main arrived while we were having the appetizers. After, we agreed to look at the dessert menu - and she said she'd be back in a few minutes - and our waitress never returned. 30 min later, we got up and paid at the bar. No manager approached the table, and no hostess was working the door on the wat out. The food was excellent, but the service was frankly pathetic, and I think that will keep us away

A quiet place, in a good location if you are in the northwest. Given that my date and I went on a weekday night, we found the service to be lacking. We were situated on the second floor looking down on the first floor. The decor and ambiance was nice, quiet and romantic. The food was good, but not outstanding. I would have liked my food to be more flavorful, as we both found out dishes to be a bit bland. Overall, it was a decent experience. I would like to come back and try another item off of their menu. It is definitely worth trying if you are close by and want to go somewhere close. If you have to go out of your way to eat here, I would suggest trying something else.
