They have traditional italian specials on Sunday. I went there with my friends and it was really nice. I didn't get to go outside due to bad weather. But I love door decoration. No to mention, good was great. Most of pizza they serve was good but pasta was a bit disappointing(this may subjective, because I'm not italian). But atmosphere was nice. It was not loud at all but not too quite neither. I would love to come here again

  • Mediocre food

The food is very, very average, whether the pizza (that tastes like packaged Kraft pizza) or the pasta (lasagna was fine but that's all) or the caprese salad (tomatoes were tasty but the mozzarella was not). We really wanted to like it more but couldn't, especially as the service was poor: lots of servers but we waited 10 minutes at the door for one of them to notice us and seat us (despite it not being busy at all when we came). Then while seated we never knew when we'd see our server again. I eat out several times a week for work in San Francisco and New York, so maybe my standards are unnecessarily high, but other SLC restaurants offer much better food and service for the same price.

We loved Stoneground Kitchen! The outdoor patio was perfect and the food was delicious! Our only complaint was the cut of steak served had a lot of fat on it, and was rather tough (even though it was ordered medium-rare). That wouldn't stop us from going back though, as everything else about Stoneground was great!

We chose this restaurant because it was near Salt Lake Community College's Library Square Campus. We were holding our annual office staff retreat and this was a perfect location for our lunch break. We wanted plenty of room and an atmosphere conducive to communicating. The food and service was excellent. Best lasagna I have had in a long time!

  • Too much carb

We were there on Sunday evening during our visit to SLC so we couldn't try their regular menu. It was all you can eat pizza tasting and all you can eat salad plus homemade pasta. Salad was simple but nice. Pizzas were just ok. Home made pasta was too simple. Just a bowl of plain pasta. Idea was great but it was too much for us. How much carbs can you eat?

This was our 4th time to Stoneground, it has always been such a treat. The moment you step in until the moment you leave. You're quickly greeted with a smile and "hello", a genuine kind not the forced ones. Always seated immediately never a wait, even if there was a wait, it would be justified and completely okay. The server this time was just an overall great guy, he had a uniqueness to him, a subtle hint of funny yet kept it all very smooth and calm. Our drinks are always within our reach in no more than 5 minutes. Steve's special is perhaps the most delicious plate I've ever had! We finished up with some donuts that will leave you craving more. This is a top notch spot and couldn't rave anymore. I tell everyone about Stoneground

Found this spot while searching with Trip Advisor. This is an awesome place with good food and excellent service. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive, but not overwhelming. We enjoyed the Leonardo and the Daily Fish Special which was Salmon. The sauce with the Leonardo, (lemon, cream, truffle etc) was delish! The salmon was braised to perfection, along with the sauce that accompanied. Great place to visit, we sat by the window with the view of the SLC library. We dined early evening (6:00), so not so busy as to be overwhelming. Sounds like a good place to come back and check out the Sunday Brunch. Thank you Stoneground, we enjoyed our evening!

The menu was a bit pretentious for brunch and unfortunately the food was very inconsistent and took way too long to get to our table. Out of the items ordered, only a few were good. The basic breakfast was just alright, the french toast came out soggy and very plain...a few pieces of battered baguette with a drizzle of hot cookie butter left the plate looking sparse...and the breakfast "crispy"potatoes came out tasting like cardboard and were inedible. The place was almost empty so it should not have been difficult to serve up fresh, hot potatoes. Service was great and very understanding and took them off the bill, but with the pretentious set up and menu we were all expecting much better food quality. Overall disappointing experience.

The Sunday brunch was pretty good. Service was slow. The menu featured pizzas for kids, but when we arrived, they said they weren't baking pizzas. We had to beg them to make a cheese pizza for our kids. Other than that, the food was good.

This is a place that is hidden upstairs from a tattoo shop- always thought it was a bakery or coffee shop by the name. We came on a Sunday(1st time) with reservations. We were sat right away, but waited over an hour for our food. The server said it was only their second Sun brunch service ever- so I hope they can workout the kinks. The food was good/ok- not worth the wait, but very reasonably priced. The dinner menu and beer/wine/liquor selection looks good, so I might consider giving them a second chance.

I have always loved Stoneground and decided Mothers Day was the perfect time to try out their new brunch option. The service was slow, was ignored by the unhelpful waitress, and the noise level was outrageously noisy. Food was fantastic but they do better for lunch and dinner than brunch at least as far as service.

Stoneground has been remodeled and it is so cute now. We arrived to find a small table with a lovely 'Reserved' card on it. The service was impeccable the whole time. I ordered the spinach salad with chicken and it was the best. My huz ordered the Leonardo steak and it was excellent also. I had two glasses of a barbera type of red wine ... excellent. My huz had a local microbrew which he enjoyed. The food is pizzas, pastas, salads etc but all with a different twist. Be wary of the pastas tho ... HUGE portions so if you are watching your waistline ... share with a friend or two.
