Had a great relaxed lunch in an
upbeat cheery atmosphere. Really enjoyed it and look forward to going back to try dinner."

The food and service were very
good, but the restaurant is almost too loud to have a conversation with the people you're sitting with (even if it's only 1 person sitting next to you)."

I took my husband here for his
birthday. We had great service, very nice service and a wonderful time. We left happy! Thank you."
Dined on 2/22/2014
I have tried to get into the
Stoneburner on a few occasions but it's a popular place. This time we got in and the service and food were great. love the brussies! The only negative I have for the Stoneburner is it is loud. Please invest in some noise abatement panels, they will make a big difference in the dbs without detracting from the decor."
Dined on 2/21/2014
The food here is good in
conception and good in execution. The pappardelle with ragu is an excellent, delightful but pleasantly light, bolognese. The roasted eggplant sandwich was different than the usual and very good, with a flavorful mashed chickpea layer that made it surprisingly rich. The brussels sprouts are so good they convert vegetable skeptics into instant fans. Service was intelligent and attentive."

Great menu, with lots to choose
from ranging from small plates to pizzas to entrees. Nice wine list. The restaurant was fairly crowded but loud ... conversation was a bit hard, but at a small table, manageable."
Dined on 2/19/2014
it is great for shared plate
eating for larger groups. the food sounds and looks great and it is easy to order too much for 2."

My husband and I had a fantastic
dinner. We showed up 10 minutes before our reservation and were seated in less than 5 minutes. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks were great! You must try the garlic foccia bread with the ricotta! We also had the Brussels sprouts, clam and sausage dumplings, and potato and onion pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back!"

First time coming here. The food
was outstanding! It took us a while to get seated because it was a Saturday night and the place was packed. We got a drink in the bar before hand, as there were two seats open, luckily for us. I loved the meat/cheese starter! So delicious. The cocktails were unique and very tasty as well. All in all a great experience and I would recommend it to all of my friends!"

This is the 2nd time I've been
there. Once with a girlfriend and this time with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. The food was amazing both times, and we love the atmosphere. Be sure to make reservations."
Dined on 2/14/2014
We really enjoyed out appetizers
(frisee salad and homemade focaccia) but our pastas were sorely lacking. The meatballs were missing seasoning and the pasta sat in a red pool of water, a cardinal sin for any Italian restaurant, or restaurant for that matter. 25 minute wait between courses, not a great experience overall. Server was attentive and kind, a small bright spot."

After a long day at work, met up
with family at Stoneburner in the trendy dining strip of Ballard. Stoneburner has been open for awhile and well worth the wait. The reception and wait staff were personable, décor/interior warm, the open kitchen layout full of action, and best of all the food was delicious! We enjoyed the inaugural Meatball Monday, excellent garlic focaccia with ricotta, and the desserts we selected were outstanding. It was a splurge, but the overall experience makes Stoneburner highly recommended!"

I literally have NEVER written a
review for a restaurant. But our experience here was amazing and I had to share it. Lite really very taste, from drink to dessert, was incredible. The drinks were amazing, the good was too (try the pork chop and cauliflower- yes caiflowere, the most boring vegetable on the planet was awesome). A must go"

It was probably the coldest day of
the year so far - 24 degrees - and we had a booth by the door and next to the windows. My companion was very cold throughout the meal, but we both enjoyed the food. He had the meatball sandwich and I had the black pasta with clams. We had to ask for salt and pepper since it wasn't on the table, but that was my only complaint."
Dined on 2/6/2014
We had a very good server,
informative, helpful and attentive. The biggest disappointment was the food. My pizza was so soggy. The flavors were nice but the sogginess of the pizza was awful. My companions had pasta and it was tasty but nothing memorable. I have a lot of tasty food."
Dined on 2/6/2014
This was my second visit for
lunch. I plan to return for dinner soon as the food was so delicious, the service excellent and the overall atmosphere appealing."
Dined on 2/5/2014
Quite impressed with the
atmosphere, great being able to park under the building for a couple bucks since ballard is so packed these days. Menu was very well put together with great intentionality put to every item including non-alcoholic drinks. All items were very well prepared, but some were notably over seasoned. The vegetables needed more chance to shine through. Chicken got great reviews from a non-foodie, and the pastas were all delicious."

First timer, party of four.
Service started off solid, but then it got busy and it appeared he was the only guy working the entire area. The food was good but not great. Lamb ragu was the BEST! The nightly pasta and pizza specials fell flat. Fun cocktails and good wine selection, but if you're a beer drinker, not much to chose from. I would recommend happy hour as we left disappointed with the amount of our bill versus the quantity of food and drinks we purchased."
Dined on 1/29/2014
Overall not that impressed,
everything was quite average. We were sat in the bar even though we made reservations and it was extremely loud. Not that big of a deal, but wouldn't bring the parents there. The food was okay. I would go back for the salads! The fried olives were waaaay too salty. The Brussel sprouts were overly acidic and underwhelming. The pizza was fine- not great, not horrible. They used very little cheese- seriously not much there. I usually request light cheese- and this pizza could have used more cheese! The drinks were great! Our server was fabulous! Would go back for drinks and salads, but not for a great dinner out."
Dined on 1/25/2014
Great service as always and great
wine selection. Pizza was good, but the vegetarian version of their spinach pasta was nothing to write home about. Being vegetarian, we were expecting the pasta to taste vegetarian, but it did not (was quite tasteless). Perhaps vegetarians should stay away form specials then? Anyway, the service wa great, and will be back, but will take a break for a while."

Silky pappardelle pasta, buttery
taleggio cheese paired with thinly sliced flavorful salami accompanied by a sweet pressed fig, and delicate pickled veggies. All divine. I sipped an Italian white wine all through this exceptional dinner with my spouse. Preparation, presentation, and service were of highest quality, clearly a passionate group of people who work hard and smart to make you feel special, not like another food ticket on the line."
Dined on 1/17/2014
Food was pretty good, in that
trendy Ballard sort of way. The server was affable but didn't seem very interested in doing her job, nor was she prepared. Ordered a martini when we sat down. Twenty-five minutes later, five minutes after the drinks that were ordered later showed up, here came the martini. It wasn't busy enough to justify that kind of delay. Wine is overpriced and a stingy pour. Maybe the deficiencies will improve to match the level of the food and decor, but there's no reason to go back."
Dined on 1/12/2014
My friend and I ordered the
roasted chicken sandwich and the squash pizza (day's special). We split the two orders, so we could each enjoy a bit of both. The sandwich was quite good, but the pizza was divine. We had the fun of sitting near where the pizzas were being made. As we walked out, I asked the pizza maker what the base was. His face lit up and he explained the layers of the pizza. What a terrific lunch! I would definitely go back, especially if they are serving that pizza."

We had heard great things about
Stoneburner and we weren't disappointed. Service was great. Food was interesting and wonderfully flavorful. Can't wait to go back. Loved their non-alcoholic cocktails."

Beautiful restaurant and so much
history. Every piece has been reclaimed and has a story. The menu is diverse, and has options for mostly everyone. My husband ordered a pizza that he called amazing. I had veggies and the special which were delicious.. The restaurant was large but cozy and the service was fantastic. I'm excited to have a new place to hang out."

First visit to a 'new' place - it
delivered on all fronts. Welcome to Seattle/ Ballard!"

I had the most amazing pizza here.
It was a clam sofrito, bacon and fresh mozz pizza. AMAZING. The charcuterie plate was also good although I could of used more that 2 crackers for 4 people! Nice ambiance and very unique too."

Thanks for making it a special
night for my wife and I! This is the first new years eve that we have been able to go out and enjoy a meal together after being together for five years. Usually I am in the kitchen so it was an absolute treat to be in the dining room on new years. To make things even better the food and service were outstanding all the way through. Thank you so much!"

Ballard restaurant scene! Excelent food and service"

There was a built up hype for
Stoneburner and we wanted to experience it ourselves. having been several times to Bastille (co-owners) we decided to try the new Stoneburner. The food: Pizza, Pasta and other- the menu is small and good. The Pizzas are thin and well made. Average taste.I had a tomato basil pizza and could not even smell the basil. We ordered 3 different pasta dishes. Average pasta dishes (the best I had at a small Santa Barbara location called Pascucci, many years ago). Cherry and watermelon non alcoholic drinks- they were ok. Bastille are better. Service: Pleasant and friendly. The waitress was a bit 'grandmotherly'"

We went to Stoneburner on a
Thursday night for a casual dinner, not knowing much about the restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal and thought our server was fabulous. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the food. We ordered the roasted cauliflower (yummy, a little spicy), the crispy farro & spinach salad (also yummy, great textures), and the little queens past (super yummy moist lamb and tasty truffle pecorino). We started with a meat plate...but I don't remember the exact name. It came with flat bread, pickled veggies and two sauces/dips. We'll definitely be back!"

My family and I dined here on
Christmas Eve and it was truly a lovely experience. The staff was gracious, amusing, and attentive. The food was all delicious and to our liking, and the waitress was helpful in making our selections. We'll be back."

Charcuterie was wonderful! Fresh
flavorful. The pizza was almost a ,dominos clone...not hand stretched, too much sauce, oven nit hot enough a real disappointment. Roasted vegetables were tasty and interesting burrata was fresh olives were good Do something about the pizza"

Great restaurant in Ballard. Good
vibe, tasty food you can't get anywhere else, and excellent service. Wine is priced to enjoy!"
Dined on 12/14/2013
He listened to what we were
ordering and made suggestions...share this, add a vegetable, etc. We ended up with a great meal! The food was very good, reasonably priced and well prepared."

What a lovely evening we had!
Everyone who works there is very professional and really worked hard to make us feel special. The food was great, I'm vegetarian and my husband is a meat eater, but we both found great options. Highly recommend."

Stoneburner continues to be a top
favorite. We brought friends from out of town and they loved it too! Eric C. is the BEST bartender in Seattle- he always surprises us w a new favorite . Food was amazing and service is always great,"
Dined on 11/29/2013
Good taste combinations: the
crispy farro salad has a very good taste and the roasted brussels sprouts are far above the usual. The cheese biscuits and sausage gravy was also very good (and large)."
Dined on 11/24/2013
The Stoneburner is a great place,
the food is fantastic and the service is excellent too. I love the small plates as it makes it easy to share and to try more of their wonderful offerings. I think that their vegetable selections are so good that even if you didn't eat your veggies as a kid you would want to eat things like carrots, brussel sprouts and beets after trying them at Stoneburner."
