Stone Park CafeNeighborhood gem.Stone Park is truly a neightborhood gem; wonderfully unpretentious atmosphere and consistently excellent, New American food. The hidden treasure of the menu is Stone Park's home made cavatelli and gnocchi, which are both exceptional; very delicate and sweet. I recommend either as a first or pasta course. Great place to dine with friends and linger over dessert, good port selection and cheese plate.
Although always crowded, we were seated promptly at our reservation time. The service was engaging and knowledgeable. Bartender makes a great Manhattan. The prices have gone up markedly over that time but it remains one of the most reliably excellent options around. This time, I took my sister and her pre-teen son, who were in town. My nephew has a very limited list of food that he will eat. We asked if they would modify one plate so that it would consist of nothing more than chicken and fries, which they did exceptionally well but charged a steep price.
