"This was our first time and definately will not be the last. Alittle loud; I really had to focus on what the person was saying to really hear him/her. But... overall, food was excellent; view was fantastic; service was very good! Thank you!"

"My sister's and I were celebrating one s Birthday. I requested a window seat but when we arrived, those tables were not available. thought the resaurant was not very busy we had to wait several time for our server to come to the table, answer questions or bring items.
We all enjoy eating at the Stone Cliff Inn as our Father enjoyed it before he passed away and we will eat there again but hope that the server will be just a bit more attentive.
I made my reservation on line which was very convenient, but why wasn't I warned ahead of time there were no window tables available? or, why wasn't one saved for our group?"

"The Stone Cliff Inn was highly recommended by a friend for our 25th Wedding Anniversary dinner for just the two of us. It is a delightful combination of nice-yet-rustic ambience and as-good-as-it-gets service and food. The wait staff was fun and friendly and very helpful with suggestions, the bartender nailed the wine recommendations and the executive chef toured the dining room, pouring water for diners and visiting, when he and his staff were not preparing the most amazing seafood ciapino and salmon we have ever enjoyed. We will definitely be back and will tell all of our friends about the Stone Cliff Inn."

"I made reservations for 5 for two important birthday celebrations, one being a 100 year old gentleman. I requested a quiet table next to a window view.
When we arrived (early), I was informed that there were no window view tables available altho there were four such tables unoccupied. My table had been set up in the middle of the room. I was extremely disappointed by this. Eventually we were moved to a window table, but it did not start the luncheon off with the positive note that I had expected.

After we had moved to the window table, our server gave us great service. The food was good. The log constuction of the restaurant was enjoyable to observe. Overall, we all enjoyed our visit other than the initial table assignment."

"The serving staff were all young but energetic and accomidating. It was nice to see the chef out and about mixing with the diners. Menu was good and had ample variety with slitly upscale items and pricing. Restaurant had a family dining atmospher. Food as served was not to upscale expectations. Bread rolls were cold, ribs over cooked and tough, potato wedges cold and tough, Steak was just above average but killed with heavy use of peppercorn sauce. Garlic mash potatos were good. Bead pudding is great, should have ordered it before meal. Bar prices were high. Dinner for two with drinks is going to be just short of $100. As a couple, we both felt this will not be our new regular place."

"This is one of our favorite places outside of Portland. The food is always good, the service is good; we have had the same waiter, Justin, several times and the service is consistent each time. Seafood is fresh; this is one of the few places my wife will order Salmon because it doesn't have that fishy smell and taste. The steaks are cooked as requested,and have yet to eat a piece of leather. And although they are quite busy, there is no feeling of trying to get you in and out as quickly as possible. I definitly recommend making reservations, especially for Friday or Saturday nights."
