  • "Upon walking into the Stone Gardens and bistro we were promptly greeted by the friendly and knowlegable staff. The gardens are beautiful and although it seemed very crowded there was plenty of room. Beer was great- there is something for everyone, food was ok but we will definitely return."

  • "I made reservations for 6 people @7:15. We did not get seated until 8. The bar space was limited, we ended up having our wine in the gift shop. Once seated, it took a long time to get service and our food took an hour after we ordered. The food arrived cold, and over cooked. Management and server were apologetic and compensated by comping a round of drinks. I was disappointed, it felt more like a theme park than a dining experience."

  • "My friends from Oregon loved it. A good experience."

  • "I made reservations for my boyfriends birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and our server was great. We came from out of town and had a great experience. We'll definitely come back again when we are in the area."

  • "Good comfort foods. Pretzel appetizer was great. This is about having good beer food for good beer. Views of brewery and the outside gardens were very nice. A bit loud, but hour table was right in the middle of it all."

  • "The chicken schnitzel was tough and couldn't be eaten. Albacore sandwich subpar. Beer and pretzel appetizer was great. Need to work on the food."

  • "Went to Stone with friends who met the Owner of Stone in another country. He encouraged them if they were to go to San Diego to visit the Escondido location. The beer was great, the food delicious, the gardens and architecture amazing. The service lacked severely, our waitress was not just unhelpful and unfriendly, she was actually rude and seemed irritated that she had to "wait" on our table. It really robbed us of a great night."

  • "Great food and beer, but the outdoor portion for dining is a bit dodgy. Lighting was really poor at our table so it was hard to see what we were dating, but it was darn tasty."

  • "We had to wait 35 minutes to get our first beer, and we almost walked out."

  • "This is our "go to" place in Escondido. Love the beers, and they have a huge selection. Eclectic Menu-wish they would bring the Rib Eye Steak back. Bison is not our bag! I had my usual stand-by--brisket. Love it- especially the mashed sweet potatoes. Hubby had fish, and would definitely order it again. Our server and her "shadow" were great!"

  • "The beers were excellent. The food sucks. I ordered the veggie pot pie it had no flavor needed salt pepper and some and herbs. I would only recommend the appetizers. Have dinner elsewhere."

  • "From the menu variety to the setting this place is unique. Wild boar and bison chops on the menu make this an adventure for the foodies stones is a must do restaurant for us when we are in the area."

  • "I was very excited on coming here and it was pretty awsm! We drove 3 1/2 hours to get here & it was well worth it! The food was delicious and the service was good. We did run in to some minor problems though. Not enough parking, the garden was reserved so the bar areas where overflowing, and the tours where sold out which I was super bummed out about! Other than that, this is a great place to go to of you're a foodie & love their beers! I really loved t the two candles I bought also & we took some beer home too. Will definitely come back with a larger group in the near future! I also can't wait for that hotel they're gourmet to make that everyone is talking about!"

  • "Haven't been back here in years, definitely now is a hot spot in Escondido. Even with reservations we stilln sat at the bar an additional 15 minutes to wait ti be seated. Beer was great food was good. Outdoor seating at night here is great."

  • "Notable and not-so-notable food items...but, the beer and environment is worth the trip."

  • "Our party of 5 had a great meal in a beautiful garden setting. Lots of kids running around but the place was big enough that it didn't get annoying. Our server, Gabe, was friendly and knowledgeable. Our group's only misgiving about the bistro was that the beer menu did not include any descriptions - the server would have to spend an hour describing them and it would be much easier to select from beers one has never heard of if they were described on the menu. Also, the lack of flights on the bistro menu (maybe they're available at the bar?) was a downer. The food is very good but we drove a half hour to Escondido for the beer and not being able to order beer flights with our meal was a negative. Otherwise, a great experience."

  • "I have heard about this place for a very long time and decided it was finally time to come here. We really enjoyed the whole experience, service, food, beer and the ambiance. The only reason why I rated it a 4 and not a 5 is because I ordered the brisket which should be soft and moist but was not. The top layers of the order was AMAZING but as you got to the bottom parts the meat was tough and you couldn't even cut into it."

  • "Visiting relatives in Southern California afforded us many opportunities for places to go. Stone brewery was one of my favorite finds! The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was very fun for people of all ages. The beer selections were practically endless! Don't pass up a chance if you're in the area."

  • "Great place to kick back and relax. Awesome beers and good food. I had the Brisket over a bed of mashed sweet potatoes with garden greens and it was delicious. Service was good , no complaints."

  • "Menu was interesting but lots of spicy items and everything with chips. Asked for a table out of traffic areas and inside ended up at the open window/door with ten toddlers and infants within 10 feet of the table. Asked to move to a quiet spot. They cater to groups and beer lovers (it is a brewery) no problem with that. But please read the reservation info! Great waitress."

  • "Went on Sunday "morning" specifically for the brunch menu... was told they did away with it about 6 weeks ago. Really disappionting. Other than that, food and service were good and it was surprisingly easy to get a table on the patio at 12:00PM on a Sunday. I had the kale caesar salad and added the salmon - it was a HUGE (and yummy!) portion. Highly recommend. My friend had the arugala salad and copied me, adding the salmon - she seemed to enjoy hers as well. Oh! One more thing... I miss the "Enjoy By IPA" as well... haven't had it the last four or five times I've been in. :/"

  • "This is a must go-to place for any time. The gardens are beautiful with plants and cool rocks. Great place to be outdoors with friends. Loved trying the different beers and the waiters know their products. That's a ++ Got to go back and try more of their organic menu. (Brussel sprouts are out of this world delicious.)"

  • "Love this place and made a reservation thru Open Table for a Thursday night. I thought by making the res I would be able to sit on the outdoor patio, but no such luck. That was our only disappointment...everything else was fantastic."

  • "Two misses in service soured my experience. First was a significant delay (>20 min) waiting for third of the 3 appetizers we ordered. The delayed item was so late that the server assumed that we had already eaten it. Second was the tepid (cool) temperature of the chili that I ordered as my main. My dining partner's main course arrived hot and he was happy with his choice. My main was in a metal pan sitting on a napkin sitting on a plate which would indicate that the metal pan was hot. When I took my first bite I discovered that the chili was in fact room temperature. Having no idea how long it had been sitting around I sent it back and said that I didn't want it back. I guess I just had a bad night."

  • "Perfect spot for meeting with friends and family to continue to work on plans for a wedding in October. We were all coming from different areas and it was centrally located to all. This was my third visit; never a disappointment"

  • "I am new to the area and one of my friends insisted that I dine here. So after settling in, a friend and I made reservations for dinner on a Sunday evening. We were seated immediately, and once seated, I made my observations. I was pleased with the atmosphere and the ambience, as well as the staff. Our server was courteous, humorous, and patiently answered all questions. The food was scrumptious! We ordered Tilapia Ceviche, the arrogant Brisket and the pulled chicken and wild boar sandwich. For dessert we had the brownie sundae and the blue cheese jalapeño cheesecake. I definitely plan to return!"

  • "Totally recommended for the beer, but not really for the food. Although it seemed fresh and overall interesting, for the offered price I expected a much better taste, a larger size and a better combination of sides. Also, most things were too spicy."

  • "Love the ambiance, organic and unique dishes, and the great beers. Have visited both the Liberty Station and Escondido locations, both are wonderful."

  • "They loved it! We sat outside in the garden area and had drinks and our meals. It was their first time to Stone Brewing World Bistro, so we all ordered different things. Everything was stellar except the service was seemingly slower than usual. Regardless, we had a great time!"

  • "Please make a reservation. Arrive early; grab glass of beer and stroll through the gardens. Enjoy your beverage sitting in the shade of one of the many trees. Then check in with an always friendly hostess. Your choice to sit inside or out. Menu is creative and varied. You will find something you like. Table service is always perfect. If time allows, take the tour of the brewery; it's well worth it."

  • "However you can arrange it you HAVE to get to Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens in Escondido, CA. Beyond their stellar, world-class beer selections (including many special brews you won't find anywhere else) their kitchen's dedication to locally-sourced, organic ingredients results in fabulously creative and fantastically delicious dining. Then there's the Garden! Mind-blowing landscaping that absolutely does justice to the name Stone (you'll see what that means). Not to mention the stunning architecture of this beer geek's temple. I can't say enough about one of my very favorite places to visit when I'm in San Diego!"

  • "Had a great server who made wonderful beer recommendations. The Tri tip was amazing and the horseradish raspberry sauce was amazing. Kids loved their meals (as usual) all three hadsomething different - Mac n cheese, burrito and pasta . Love that they have good options . Hubby had the tuna melt and thought it was great."
