  • "First time dinning and it was beautiful ! Very quiet and peaceful . The beer and food were delicious . I loved the variety of food and how they brought a list of beer that would pair well with your choice of food. The only thing that bothered me was making a reservation online I stated it was my birthday under the colum that stated special requests and no one even said happy birthday or even accomidated the needs I asked . Other than that it was great. Thanks stone !"

  • "Stone world bistro was high on my list of places to visit in San Diego. The architecture and decor were amazing. It's the type of place you can spend the whole day at. The beer selection was too notch as to be expected, and included one-off brews available only at the liberty station location. The food was a bit above average. The descriptions on the menus sounded better than the food tastes. The only other gripe would be service bordering on the slow side. It was not very crowded and seemed to be under staffed. It took about 15-20 minutes to get your beer. All in all this is a must for foodies and beer geeks"

  • "Food was fantastic! Loved the cheese soup and the brussel sprouts. We came for brunch on Sunday. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. It was our first time at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens. The French toast was a big hit! Can't wait to come back."

  • "The vegetarian options used to be plentiful, but now seem quite limited for lunch. 1 out of 5 or 6 appetizers were veggie friendly. The entrees had some veggie options, but primarily consisted of removing the meat instead of actually being a vegetarian item. Beer as always is great and so is the service."

  • "Neat place in Liberty Station. Local brewery with good food to boot. Awesome outdoor eating space!"

  • "Food and drink was great. Servers were efficient. We had to ask them to turn the music down because we couldn't carry on a conversation at our table. Other than that, we had a great lunch!"

  • "Our group grew from 14 to 16 and moved around table to visit. this was not conducive to the server, but he/Austin handled with a smile. It did take too long for good to come. We were there 3:30-7:30, so that meant all having a good time. Food quality is hit/miss. Some really liked their food - others found food quality adequate. Love the Brussel sprouts and fig bread grilled cheese sandwhich. The overall experience was positive and impressed how staff handled our group. Thx"

  • "This Stone Brewery I awesome! Our server, Brittany, was amazing. Very nice and helpful with the menu. I'm definitely coming back here!"

  • "Stone is a nice treat. one of our group has a food allergy, the staff were very accommodating on making sure that they could eat all that was ordered. The food was very well presented and very good. a very enjoyable experience"

  • "We went for lunch with our 1 yr old. We ordered the chicken schnitzel and the crusted tilapia. Both were delicious and we would have again, but I have to say the menu wasn't one where I wanted to order everything on it. Beer and root beer were wonderful, of course. And the outdoor facilities at this venue are like none other. Great space to hang out with friends outdoors."

  • "Patio dining is great. The water features and bar are great. A great gathering place."

  • "Located in the supercool military camp of a bygone era. More seating than the escondido location, awesome huge open patio, though less neato walking paths. Frequent airplanes flying overhead but just pause your conversation, use the 5 seconds to sip your beer, and remember the scene from Wayne's World. Unlimited selection of beer obviously. Most drafts are $5-6 which I think is cheap for fresh very good beer"

  • "The restaurant is done very nice, very large and open. But for Valentine's day, it just doesn't have what I would say is a romantic environment. The food was good, but not what I would expect fire the money. We did the prefix menu. We got the spicy tuna sushi tacos and a lamb dish. The tacos were great. We will gat them again during a happy hour. The lamb was okay. Too much of some herb, spice, I think it was mint. The second course was halibut and NY strip steak. Her halibut was good, not excellent, but cooked well. My steak was good, a bit overcooked but it tasted nice. We quill go back, but it is the kind of place where we will do happy hour at the bar outside. But for dinner, the for what you get is a bit high without the ambiance."

  • "Good food but expensive. It's a fun place for a special occasion but the service is slow (the place is usually packed so it is understandable)."

  • "this was my third visit to Stone Brewing at Liberty Station. My other visits were enjoyable, but I've come to think that I like the ambiance of the place and the service, both of which are exceptional. The food seems to me to be less and less enjoyable. There are a couple of items I can recommend, but I would not give a wholehearted recommendation based on the mediocre quality of the food."

  • "spectacular remodel of the old Navy building. Spacious with great outside garden and seating. Of course, great beer. Food is creative and out of the ordinary. Lobster roll, which I had, was delicious and full of lobster chunks. Great place to take out of towners."

  • "Value - Great deal for your money. I enjoy the location and the size of the food portions. The atmosphere is great and the waistaff are all extremely nice. Performance - Waitstaff is always on the move but are willing to go above and beyond once they know that you need service. They are really good at letting you visit with company and not be bothered but if you need something, just flag one of them down. Ease of Use - The amount of drink and food options are plentiful. Features - Stone Brewing small batch beers, some of their classics and a great draft and bottle list. Criticism - The only criticism is that once it gets busy, they need to have waitstaff and bartenders on deck and free up some of these busy folks working their butts off!"

  • "We had a good time at Stone - the food and atmosphere was fun, but you pay for it. All in all, it's something to look forward to for special occasions."

  • "The menu is very unusual with items such as duck tacos. All of the food items listed looked tasty and my friends pulled pork/chicken sandwich was delicious as was my crab and lobster roll. And unusual note was the fact that they do not serve Coca-Cola but rather make their own cola. I found the taste to be rather spicy as it almost burned my throat and my friend had to send his back. The outdoor seating next to the pond is very nice on a sunny day but the indoor facility is equally appealing The prices are not cheap however it's a fun Sunday brunch and if anyone likes micro beers there's a selection it would take you a year to try each one"

  • "Have dined many times at Stone in Escondido. This one has the same awesome food, but totally different vibe. The place is so huge and offers so many different dining areas. Great place to take company after you pick them up from the airport. A must for everyone!"

  • "The food, the beer, the service, the atmosphere- everything here is great! I've been here many times & will continue to go back, I highly suggest the soft & stinky cheese platter, it's delicious! The airplanes going over all the time may annoy some but if you have a good attitude you can make it into a drinking game!"

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch we had at Stone Brewery. What a great location! The restaurant is open, beautifully designed and has great ambiance! Service was exceptional and the food was delicious. This just might be my new favorite!"

  • "A bit pricey but service was good, food was good, and beer selection was great. Do a flight and test out their beers brewed on location. Staff was knowledgable about their product and super friendly. Food was better than expected. Overall a great experience. Will be back."

  • "After enjoying appetizers, entrees and dessert, our group of 6 agreed that the appetizer selections and tastes were the stars of the menu. Naturally, the beer selections and tastes were perfect with them."

  • "The building is awesome, as is the outdoor space. Stone did a great job with that! The food was disappointing, especially since it is not inexpensive. Salmon salad needed more dressing, which took half way through the meal to get. Lobster roll pretty boring and impossible to eat as a sandwich. Even that would have been OK if tasty. My husband's duck tacos were good, not great, and again, pricey for 3 small tacos. Sorry, I hope things get better as we would love to go back."

  • "I did not think Stone's Escondido place could be topped but i was wrong. This place is amazing. Their beer is seriously top shelf and the food was equally amazing. Combine all that with a beautiful indoor and outdoor facility and I think I could truly live here. Got to try the Imperial Stout with vanilla or the Spiced Unicorn Milk with Frankincense an Myrre. A beer only on tap at the Stone locations."

  • "This was our first time dining in their newest location. The cheese plate was excellent and the soup also. My wife and I both had the grilled cheese and I thought it was too busy. It was like they were trying to stuff too many flavors into one dish. A great grilled cheese highlights the cheese and in this the cheese gets lost."

  • "Went for a New Years Day lunch. Very friendly waiter. I was the DD so no drinking, he brought me two non alcoholic drinks, charged for only one. Pleasant and fun. Food was well prepared, I had the fried Brussel Sprouts sans meat, the Hummus with crudite as an appetizer. Main dish I chose was the Arugula Salad she had the gluten free Tempah Sheppard's Pie. Our guest had the Mussels and the Grilled Cheese. No complaints on the food at all. They make an honest effort to offer vegetarian and gluten free options, something not so easy IMO at a place that cooks most of the food with craft beer. Not a fine dining option, but fun for a relaxed slightly upscale lunch."

  • "I stopped by the Stone Brewery for lunch with 3 friends. We all ordered differently, but everyone was pleased with their food. Our waitress was great. The iced tea was excellent and different than I have had elsewhere. I give this place a 100% recommendation."

  • "I love the chicken schnitzel at the Escondido location, so when I saw it on the menu at Liberty Station, I ordered it. Then it came...with no seasonal veggies, totally different sauce, and different potatoes. Basically the only thing that's the same is you get potatoes and chicken :( And we overheard our waiter tell the table behind us that the Holy Trinity was shallots, garlic, and white wine, haha! Good thing he's not the chef! Other than that, the restaurant and beer selection was amazing!"

  • "The title says it all. They have craft beer from Stone, and from other local craft brewers. And they have a very nice - and healthy - menu, although the food is on the pricey side. It was somewhat irritating, and the reason was unclear, that they had an imperial stout, that I would have liked; but it was only available in the "store" for growler fills. If it can be tapped into a growler, why can they not draw a glass or two for dining customers ?"

  • "I had heard that this was a huge venue with outstanding food from a co-worker who is a professional chef. The location, aside from the near constant air traffic from the flight path of Lindbergh field, was outstanding. Being a homebrewer for the past 6 years, I have sampled tons of beers, so I was hoping to find some rare gems from Stone that differ from their usual MO of overly aggressive floral/citrus hops and little malt presence. While their draft list included a few things that are not available in stores, their milk stout was not milky enough (ie, it was an overly hopped stout) and their Belgique was more of an IPA. The menu was an oddball mix, with portions being too small for the tacos and way too big for the Shepards pie. BOOO"

  • "I really like this location more that the one in Escodido. The hostes was soooo nice! and the staff was great! It was a chilly day and they kept making sure i was warm enough (we sat outside). I had the Lobster Roll and my Boyfriend had the Chilaquiles, Both were excellent. The staff also offers veg options if you dont eat meat (the chilaquiles come with chirizo hash). I will definately return!"

  • "I'm a big fan of Stone beer and their original restaurant in Escondido, so I thought I would try out the downtown location as I had friends visiting who wanted to go out in San Diego. The restaurant is beautiful and they have revamped their menu with some interesting choices including brunch. We reserved a table outside and it was beautiful, however I forgot that we were in a flight path with the airport. Big mistake. It was so loud with the planes flying over that my guests were not too pleased. I ordered the Duck confit hash. It was just ok and for the price not very good at all. If you want to go to Stone go to the original Escondido location."

  • "Ignored at check-in by hostesses standing there while line was backing up. I had to ask if they could help us, 1 did & was pleasant about it, just the initial lack of acknowledgement. Once seated, it took forever to get a waiter to acknowledge us (again). When the waiter came to ask if we'd been helped, he said, "oh I guess your waiter's busy, I'll take you're drink order for now" (never apoligized for the wait) He turned out to be our waiter for the entire meal so I think some coaching needs to happen with the wait staff. Food & beer selection was good but entrees were a bit pricey. Ambiance was good. Loved the layout of the restaurant & the various congregation areas. Space planner & designer did a great job. The parking was great too."

  • "Had great food and great service for lunch at an outside table. However, conversation was interrupted every few minutes by noise from low planes taking off from Lindbergh Field. Not a good place to conduct business or catch up with friends during lunch."
