A word from STK - NYC - Midtown
STK artfully blends two concepts into one—the modern steakhouse and a chic lounge. A large central lounge area is furnished with creamy leather banquettes and textured crocodile tiles, and is surrounded by an elevated dining room for more formal dining. Theatrical lights illuminate each table, while a DJ creates an energetic vibe throughout the entire space. STK Midtown is located in Midtown Manhattan, just steps from the bustling Theatre District. STK Midtown includes an outdoor patio and separate bar during summer months. As anticipated, steak is the main attraction. With a female-friendly mindset, STK offers small, medium and large cuts of meat, as well as naturally raised options and market fresh fish entrees. Aside from steak, signature items include Parmesan Truffle Fries; Lil’ BRGs; Shrimp Rice Krispies; Sweet Corn Pudding; and Jump Lump Crab Salad.

Basically using fast talk to pressure us to order one of the specials. After he basically ordered for us, we had to call him back over and tell him what we really wanted on the menu. That was really annoying...."

  • "3rd time I been then to STK and I came away it was not the $250 I spent for me and my wife. $18 for 3 shrimp for shrimp cocktail. They were not the largest either. The quality in my Bone in Ribeye was just not there. Sides were mediocre. We decided to cut our losses and not even try dessert."

  • "I thought the food was good but expensive. In my opinion, when ordering a main course, you should always be provided with either a small green salad or a vegetable. With this menu everything is an additional cost - vegetables, potatoes, the lot. It makes for a very expensive steak when you have to pay extra for a green vegetable and potatoes."

  • "Dining for pre-theater on 11 July (Friday). Without a doubt, hands down the best fish I have ever had - Glazed Sea Bass with miso, citrus, and hearts of palm. Started with the Tuna Tartare, which was also delicious. Request to sit in Alex's section - he was a gem and helped us experience an incredible meal. Beautiful, open layout. Will definitely be going back, but will try the Vegas edition at the Cosmo as well. Thank you STK!"

Food was good, however quite pricey. Service was more akin to a night club/bar rather than a dining establishment. Perhaps more of a lounge with food rather than a restaurant with a lounge."

  • "We were a party of 3. The steaks were fantastic. Two were perfect medium rare, only the filet was more medium. Waiter offered to change it but wife decided to stay with it and it was also good nevertheless. Didn't like the parmesan truffle fries. Service exceptional, water was refilled the minute it was half full. Were sitting outside, noise level was moderate. We checked inside and it was very loud. All in all a very nice evening and a steak-house absolutely to recommend."

STK has exceptional service, incredible food, and awesome music even our parents loved. The only thing we were disappoint by were the Parmesan truffle fries. Other than that we were all completely wowed!"

  • "This is what I would call a disco steakhouse. Do not come here for a quiet, serene meal. This place rocks. It's a fine steakhouse with a DJ and a dance floor, so you can "get down" and "groove" after your meal. The food is fantastic, the truffle mac and cheese was my favorite: large pieces of truffle shaved on top - yummy!!"

That said, the service was impeccable and matched the price point. I am not one for being doted on, but when in STK :) Some items were pricier than I initially thought they should be, but the quality of the dishes made up for it. I will be back!   • "When we received our check the charges for our meal were actually for another table, and we had asked for it to be divided up 3 ways. The server did a wonderful job refiguring out the checks and was very apologetic but we left confused and with the feeling that we really didn't know if our charges were correct. Overall, the food was wonderful, the server was helpful, the check was the only unpleasant issue. Customers should always be asked up front how they want the bill charged, if so the whole incident would and could have been avoided."

  • "I have become a regular at STK for one reason: general manager, Soy Chiever. I have dined at STK with clients 3 out of the last 4 weeks. Her and her staff make you feel like you are a top executive, welcoming and greeting my clients and me every time. The energy and charisma permeates the whole restaurant and comes top down from Soy to the whole staff. Service and steak are always on point. Foie gras and the oysters make me happy while I conduct business in this very energetic atmosphere. There are many places that I can spend my T&E budget. STK midtown has become my go to spot for closing deals."
