The restaurant had however run out of bread. Still the table setting consisted of a side plate and butter knife. It would have been less noticeable had they removed these. It appears more spacious, yet maintains its cosy charm. As usual, the staff and owner were very friendly and helpful with wine and dinner choices. The medium sized room where we were seated had around 16 tables, some of these were pushed together for larger groups, which made things a little tight in some areas.
The service was very good, the waitresses were attentive but not intrusive.
All dishes that my wife and i ordered were very well prepared and presented. This visit was the first time I had been back in years and it did not disappoint then and certainly did not now. The food was great and the service was excellent. If you are looking for a traditional seafood restaurant that is not a place to be seen or focused on image, this is the place to go.
