The service was by far the best I have had in years and I'm a very hard to please person. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was great for a "special" dinner. Prices were high, but not excessive for the quality or type of dining. My date wanted some wierd drink and the waiter. Brady, looked it up on line so the bartender could make it for us. Awesome! We had steaks and split a wedge salad. All were perfect.

We had a great time at Steve Fields. Service was very knowledgeable and helpful with our wine selection. He was Johnny on the spot if we needed anything. We were a little disappointed in the quality of the food.

My wife and I stumbled upon Steve Field's a few years ago by accident and have been coming back ever since. We try other steak restaurants now and than but always say we should have just gone to SF. Sunday's meal didn't disappoint either. Everything was prepared perfectly and the service was good as always. We've taken 3 new couples with us on separate occasions and all loved it.

Like the title advises, the steak and lobster promoted outside are probably your safest bets. We branched out and while the food was good (albeit tough for the porkchop and lacking taste for the lamb chops), it was not great. Steak and lobster are probably the way to go, if the lobster bisque was anything to go off of - that was grand. Service was exceptional, though no manager made their presence known in the dining room. The dining rooms are opulent without being obnoxious; it's a gorgeous place without being stuffy, and probably a prime date spot. The bar life is active and the pianist is a talent who you actually will want to hear more from. There's a reason Steve's has been in business 9+ years. It's worth it to find out why.

Steve Fields was an exceptionall find. There is a piano player in the bar (who we will go early to listen to next time), our entrees were all delicious and the service by Jordon was great. This will be on our list when we come to Dallas.

Ordered the filet mignon, medium rare, but it was very medium and dry. Lacked flavor. Had the blue crab and corn chowder, which had a musty after taste. Very disappointed with this restaurant. Probably won't return again.

I enjoyed our time at Steve Fields. I took notice of the linens at was used, the lighting fixtures of the lobsters, clean silverware. The lighting was a little dim so if you were taking photos, they would come out dark. Christina, our waitress, was outstanding. She made our experience so enjoyable. The food was excellent and timely prepared. I was recommended to this place by a friend and would also recommend it to others.

We were greeted and told it would be a minute for our table. We stood at the front for quite awhile until I asked if we should go to the bar for a drink. We were told we could if we wanted to but our name could be called any minute. We decided to go to the bar and get a drink. Once we ordered our drinks it took forever for the bar staff to make them and then when we tried to pay we found out the price we thought we would pay was not correct. Their drink menu prices are VERY confusing. The bartender was quite rude and we debated whether we should forget about dinner and leave. However, we ended up staying but the food was just ok. Their prices are similar to places like Bob's or Capital Grille but the food is not up to the same standards.

We have always loved Steve Fields but the chef/cook was definitely off their game this night. The grilled fish tasted burnt, sent it back, came out rare and still tasted charcoal 'ish. Not sure what the burnt taste was but the waiter could not have been nicer about it, thank you Brady. Others in our party had the steak and very pleased. Service was excellent on a busy Saturday night.

The crab cakes were delicious as were all the other dishes I sampled from my friend's plates. The only thing that disappointed me was the Key Lime Pie. I am a huge KL Pie lover and it was way too tart. I only ate one bite. Otherwise, great!

Loved this restaurant. The Piano Bar was a lot of fun and the food was fantastic. I wish we lived closer to it cause we would be there all the time. My husband and I dined there for restaurant week. I had the lobster and he had the Prime Rib. We split each of our dishes so we could share a surf and turf.

The food was prepared to order and was terrific, our waiter seemed to show up at the perfect times to check on us and we never felt rushed like some places can make you feel. I've already recommended to several co-workers. I'll definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I decided to participate in our first Restaurant Week at Steve Fields and it was a very pleasant experience. The bar was packed with some live entertainment, the restaurant was full and the ambiance was a nice mix of casual upscale dining. We ordered off of the set menu (I had the filet and he had the prime rib). Our meals from start to finish were very good. My filet was an excellent cut and prepared perfectly. His prime rib was delicious and the accompanying horse radish was quite possibly the best I've ever had. Our only notes were that we wished our meats had been seasoned a bit more. Our server was attentive and efficient. The timing/pace of the courses was great. I'd definitely return.

My friends & I went for restaurant week. The Food was really good. The spinach salad with bacon was amazing. My Sea Bass typed with crab was really good and the carrot cake was to die for!!! I'm pretty sure that's the best carrot cake I've ever had! However, the service wasn't good. Our waiter was not friendly & the waitress for the other table kept bumping into me without any mention of excuse me or anything. I think I'd go back again, just would want a different server & sat in a booth.

Since finding Steve Fields during Restaurant Week several years ago, it has been one good dining experience after another. Sometimes the service can be challenging, but the food is always wonderful. Dined from the RW menu this meal and we weren't disappointed. Ask for a larger booth when setting up reservations, the small one are in a high traffic area and a little tight. Thanks for the great meals Steve!!

We tried Steve Fields after passing by it for years. We decided to celebrate my husband's birthday there as I heard the steaks were excellent. He liked his steak; however, it was a little fattier than others he's had yet it was tender and flavorful. It was on par with several other steak places in the Dallas area; however, I'm not sure there was anything that stood out so much that would make us return there soon. They did follow-up the dinner with a complimentary piece of birthday cake which was delicious.

My first time dining here. Great from start to finish! The bar had live music (a good thing), but it didn't carry over to the dining room where I was sitting (a good thing). Menu choices were good, and portions were perfect. I had a hard time deciding on an entree, so I will have to return to try them all. Especially enjoyed the crab and corn chowder! Waitstaff was attentive, taking care of things before I even knew I needed it!

Typically we use DFW Restaurant Week to preview eateries we are unfamiliar with, hence our visit at Steve Fields. Our visit was on our anniversary which was on a Wednesday. We had a 7:45pm reservation however, we had to wait 25 minutes to be seated. We were waiting near the bar area which was very noisy. It was crowded and people had to speak loudly to be heard even when the live music wasn't playing. Once we were seated the noise level did come down a couple of decibels. We were seated next to a group of Asian visitors to the USA who were speaking and laughing loudly in their native tongue (I knew they were visitors due to them being all over the restaurant prior to being seated taking photos). Overall the experience was pleasant.

We went to Steve Fields for the 3rd year in a row for restaurant week and to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. As I usually do, I told the waiter I had Celiac Disease and I asked what was gluten free on the menu. I was surprised when the waiter just started guessing! I had to ask him to speak with the chef. He came back telling me what was gluten free but refused to make substitutions because it cost "more for them". I am pretty sure this isn't true since I did not have dessert or recieve my wine for this course (that I paid for)... Also, the tables were so close together that I had someone hitting the back of my chair every 5 minutes because there wasn't enough space for them to walk by. Overall, I was disappointed.
