  • "Steve Fields has always been our first pick for dining out and it hasn't let us down yet. We brought our new neighbors who just moved to the area within the past month and as always, the food was excellent, service outstanding and it's just a pleasure to either go alone or bring friends to the best restaurant in the Dallas area."

  • "Steve Fields is our favorite Dallas steakhouse. Our family and friends have eaten a variety of items and never had a complaint. My favorite is a filet with asparagus. My husband loves the surf and turf (filet & lobster) and shrimp cocktail. We enjoy the elegant atmosphere. You feel comfortable in suit & tie down to jeans & shorts. The staff has always been attentive and friendly. We see Steve Fields almost every time we're there either serving birthday cake or adjusting lights, etc. Great place for special occassion or just get together with friends. Don't leave without tasting a delicious dessert!"

  • "Steve Fields was a very nice find for a special occasion. The food was very good and service was as expected from a top tier restaurant. We had calamari as an appetizer and the portion was good. Tasted good, but not the best we've had. They also brought a small plate of bread and spicey oil with lovely kick! For entrees, we had salmon and crab cakes. Both were spread over garlic mashed potatoes with asparagus (big juicy ones)! The portions were very generous and the presentation was quite pleasant. We followed up with two very large desserts. A piece of strawberry cheesecake and key lime pie. Every thing was quite filling, so the take home boxes were appropriately used! This restaurant is worth a revisit and its on the lower end of pricey!"

  • "This was our first time to visit Steve Fields Steak and Lobster Lounge, wow! The atmosphere is second to none, the food was fabulous and Jared, our waiter was outstanding. He knew what we needed, before we needed it!"

  • "Always friendly and attentive waiters, ours was great. Seafood special was fresh, but uninspired. Sides just OK, but plenty of 70's tunes coming from the piano bar next door."

  • "What makes this place special......the food and the staff........we love the blue crab claws....and mustard sauce, bone in rib eye. We love our cab a little chilled.....they always have this ready for us when we arrive.......a hug at the front door and then we always have an amazing evening.......:)"

  • "Night started with a great drink in the bar with an amazing piano player. We were then seated on time and had amazing service. The meal was top notch with incredible Lobsters. Very good dinner."

  • "My party of three had a great experience from beginning to end. The waiter did a great job in making our experience very enjoyable. He answered many questions about the different types of lobsters and steaks on the menu. My mother-in-law decided to trust him and went with the 10 oz lobster along with the sweet potato dish. She loved all of it. My wife and I had the filet mignon. It was perfectly cooked. I should mention we started the meal with the lobster bisque. It had a great taste and just the right amount. We left very full and very happy about our choice of dining for the evening."

  • "Steve Fields is one of my favorite places to dine in the Dallas metro. The atmosphere is extremely pleasing and the food is great. My wife and I had the seabass and it was outstanding. The service is always excellent. I highly recommend Steve Fields Steak and Lobster Lounge."

  • "My wife and I decided to try Steve Fields due to her craving of lobster. Although the restaurant has been around for years we had never tried them before. Now we're sorry for waiting so long. The food was fantastic and the service was top notch. From our Stone Crab appetizer to our main entrees of Steak and Lobster tail the food was prepared perfectly. At the end of the evening we were surprised with a free piece of cake and a card signed by the staff. We'll be going back."

  • "We continue to have nothing but wonderful things to say regarding Steve Field's! The food is excellent, the service is the best there is in the metroplex and the atmosphere is warm and classy! I travel a great deal and dine in some really nice restaurants and Steve Fields is as good as it gets...... I expect the best and I get the best."

  • "This place is just "ok". The steaks are slightly above average but not memorable by any means; of course they are destroyed by heavy, American sauces so if you go you're better off getting all sauces on the side. I like the idea that this is a locally owned place but it is not really that impressive if you are used to eating out and eating well all the time. If you go out once a month then you may think this place is great, but you'd be better off going to Capital Grille or Bob's for better food quality, menu design, ambience and service for the same or even lower price. The service is kind of ok and the piano bar is annoying. I use this place as a backup plan if other places are full, so take what you will from that comment."

  • "Steve Fields was a great get away. My husband and I needed a break and picked Steve Fields to relax and enjoy. The food was really good, our waitress was excellent and even though there were a lot of people it almost felt like you were alone in the restaurant. Some people may not like that they use dim lighting for the ambiance, but it wasn't too dark and we liked it. We were able to have private conversation without worry that the next table was hearing us. Sure you may not be able to afford to go eat here once a week, but once every month or two I really think it's worth the splurge. It was a great date night."

  • "We celebrated our anniversary at Steve Fields. The dining room was a bit loud and not quite as romantic as we were hoping. Our waiter was very attentive, but a little pushy. We had the shrimp cocktail and it was great. We both had the surf and turf for dinner - a filet and a lobster tail with one side. Both of our steaks came out less done than we were expecting. When I asked for mine to be cooked more our waiter seemed perturbed that he had to take it back. When the steak was returned to me it was wonderful. The restaurant is pricey (we paid $62 and $68 for our entrees), but the food was very good. A huge piece of delicious chocolate cake was comped for our anniversary. Overall, we would probably go back for another special occasion."

  • "Service was excellent and the food came in a timely manner and was prepared as ordered. The restaurant was packed full and the noise level high but not too loud to carry on a conversation."

  • "Went her for our anniversary dinner. The waitstaff was polite and attentive, and not overbearing. Very intuitive. And, the bar poured generous drinks. That's a little thing, but it's bigger than you'd think. It says "we're not cheap, neither are you - enjoy". Steak was phenomenal, as was the potato. I wasn't a fan of the steakhouse tomato salad, but I would chalk that up to my personal preferences more than anything else. And, they gave us an anniversary card....a very nice touch."

  • "My husband and I have been enjoying this bar and restaurant for many years. We celebrated our anniversary last week with a wonderous meal. The chef had a 20oz lobster tail which was prepared to both look and taste delicious. My husband had a large filet beef served semi-rare as requested. Somehow we still managed to enjoy the carrot and ice cream for desert! We are already looking forward to a return visit."

  • "Service was prompt, helpful, and friendly. Atmosphere was lively - celebratory - around us. My dining partner had the beef medallions with an add-on of two stone crab claws. I had the lamb chops. Our main courses were excellent. I liked that a side item comes with the main courses, and you can freely substitute another side item. If you order a steak at some of the competing upscale steak places, you have to order the sides separately, and you will invariably spend an additional 10-20 dollars just on those items, which I feel is not right. The wine list has a few good finds on it, though the prices are a bit on the high side, and the waitstaff may not be eminently helpful. Also, the service in the bar area was quite good."

  • "We had a few bumps, but I am not even going to say what the problems were because the waitress and the manager made it right and apologized profusely. Lobster bisque is very good. We have been here before and we will be back."

  • "We've celebrated several special occasions at Steve Fields for years. It's a bit pricey, so we don't go very often. Their filtered water is the best in Dallas, and the fact they leave a bottle on the table is good for not having to worry about refills. The lobster is fresh and the steaks are always tender. Perfect for impressing a date, very romantic, and service lends to the effect. Suggest making reservation."

  • "Reservations on a Tuesday March, 11...not to busy however it took 30 minutes to get our order in. Drinks were painfully slow and waitress although bubbly and sweet was a GHOST. We had a late reservation but our service should not be time bound. If I could give a zero for service I would...close to the worst service I've had to date. On a positive note food was good. Trout nicely cooked."

  • "We love Steve Fields, we have never had a bad experience there. They have a great bar and the food is all ways very good. We love to get wine suggestions from Jeff, he always has some great deals. Eric was a wonderful server, very friendly and open to request for substitutions. The maple scallops and seafood pizza appetizers very good as where the steaks."

  • "We arrived a little before our reservations so we went and had a drink in the bar. It was packed! Apparently, they have half priced appetizers and some drink specials, and on Wednesday they have $2 off glasses of wine. Bartender was great to us. It doesn't help I am allergic to shellfish and the waiter was close to saying then what are you doing here? My girlfriend loves shellfish so I sacrificed. She had some type of lobster dip as an appetizer and another shellfish dish for her main course. I had a filet, with corn instead of baked potato. She loved it and I enjoyed mine. They also gave us a free piece of cholocate cake! It was very nice of them, and we will probably be back for the Wednesday happy hour soon."

  • "This is the third time that my wife and I have chosen this restaurant for a special occasion. The food and atmosphere are always good and the quality of food and service is consistently excellent. This is not a place for the "inexpensive" outing with the family, unless it's a special occasion. The prices are more in line with the North Dallas Tollway corridor of Addison and Plano, so don't be surprised. The piano entertainment is always good, although this time, it just wasn't quite as good as usual. We will be back."

  • "We first tried Steve Fields for Thanksgiving and loved it. This visit was for my daughter's Birthday, her choice. We enjoyed every dish, from the crispy lobster pizza app to the Chilean sea bass cooked to perfection (although the portion was not overly generous). The "wild mushroom" on my filet was a disappointment, as it appeared to be prepared ahead not fresh with my order. They almost had a jarred or canned texture. The filet itself was tender and flavorful, and I can't wait to try a different preparation. After our server Kat found out it was my daughter's Birthday, the manager brought out a decorated slice of cake and a signed card for her. It was a thoughtful gesture, and the level of service that will keep us going back."

  • "A s always, Steve Fields was and is a great place to dine in elegance with outstanding food- a very good selection of entrees and always prepared just right. The steaks are superior and don't forget the most generous slice of chocolate cake if its your birthday.. The sides are great also. Steve Fields is a tremendous place to go on special occasions or if you want to let someone know that you know where great dinning is."

  • "We have lived in the Metroplex for 10 years now and always wanted to visit Steve Fields but it was never "top of mind" awareness. With Valentine's Day approaching, I thought of Steve Fields and I am very glad that I made the choice that I did. My wife and I had such an enjoyable evening with romantic ambience and relaxing environment. While the restaurant was extremely busy and packed and there were lots of other people around, my wife and I felt like we had our own little private two-person venue. It was very upscale but laid back and we had a wonderful dining experience. Our server was Kat and she was fabulous and the food was superb. We will definitely be going back."

  • "We went early and were seated right away, just didn't like sitting in the back room away from the main dining area. I felt like a step child setting way in the back. Food was great but it was a little dark and I couldn't really see all that well. Ate the special it was $60.00 a person and I am thinking the dessert should have been more special maybe. It was a small slice of cake, 3 kinds but nothing that great. It was also my husbands 60th birthday and only a generic card signed by four people."

  • "Since we don't care for the issues with the actual Valentine's Day meal crowd, we generally delay our celebration a day or two. Since the actual day was Friday, we dined on the following Sunday nite. Guess what, everyone else decided to do the same thing. Although it was packed at 7pm, our reservation was honored without the obligatory "please wait in the bar". Since they do have a live piano playing there, it really wouldn't have been bad at all. Valentine's decor was still evident as well as the "special" menu, but we opted to dine off the regular menu. It was excellent and the service was prompt, despite the busy night. A good experience as usual."
