I can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal. The double stuffed pork chop, and the boulliabasie (sp?)are the best. The deserts are just great. I have traveled allot and have eaten at numerous restaurants througout the U.S. and I can say Steve & Cookies is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. The service is great. Cookie takes a personal interest in speaking with her diners by visiting the tables. I especially like this room if it is just the two of you....with a group I have been seated in the front dining area which can be a bit noisy but still a great time. She proceeded to inform us that there was no high chair for him and could we hold him. We were in a take it or leave it situation. We brought in his car seat. Fortunately a high chair was found but due to my observance not the host.
Our dinner was very good. Had a pleasant server. But it did not disappoint at all. From the very friendly hostess, to our excellent and very attentive waitress, we were thrilled with the service. While the prices were on the high side, it was worth every penny we spent (and we spent quite a few!!!). Both the baby lamb chop appetizer and the halibut special were absolutely delicious (and we have pretty high expectations when it comes to dining out)!!

The service was great from start to finish, definitely no complaints. As far as the food for the price it could have been better. I probably would rather go to Sage or Ruth's Chris in Ventnor and AC based on the price and food quality. Don't get me wrong the food was ok it was not great or bad, but for the price I expect more. The steak was cooked perfectly, the escarole was great, but like I said the value is not there based on the price.

Had mentioned when booking the reservation that it was our 2nd anniversary. Surprising after we declined dessert from being too full a nice variety of bite size desserts came to us with the words Happy Anniversary in chocolate with a candle in the whipped cream. Nice touch and we didn't expect that at all. We have eaten here multiple times and the food is always great. It does not matter what you order as everything is good. So just eat what you are in the mood for....even the meatloaf is fantastic! On the weekend the restaurant fills up so it can get quite noisy but that is normal anyplace. Cookie always checks on you to make sure everything is perfect. It was fortunate that we had an Open Table reservation for 7:30; it is regrettable that we earned no dining points for our reservation!!! The service is attentive, the food is tasty, and the prices are high. It is best not to go on a weekend from May through September. Nevertheless, Steve & Cookie's is a great place in the summer because there is a farmer's market on Thursday mornings in July and August. The homemade blueberry pie is the best dessert during the summer. Our food was perfect. Really. A rare 5 star award from us. We had bouillabaisse and crab cakes and these were as fine as one could imagine.The beet salad was spot on. Attentive service and comfortable ambiance finish the picture.

The menu is diverse with new specials and additions offered. The wait staff is always professional. George, the bartender is extremely knowledgable and makes inventive and amazing cocktails. Cookie is a gracious and friendly host. There is lovely jazz piano every night. Four dining rooms, one large with a view of the bay , a cheerful bar area with booths, and an intimate dining room with a fireplace, and another smaller bar in a cozy dining room also with a fireplace .
