The service was quite good and the food was very good. We had a mix of dinner entres from a few different fish to the signature steaks on the menu. Everyone was very happy with the dinner. It's a beautiful steakhouse with great ambience. One of the best dinners we have ever had, as hard-core foodies! Steak was cooked perfectly, and everything was seasoned exceptionally well. The salad has a twist that was wonderful, and the dressings were superb. The bread was so good I could have eaten it all night long. Great wine list with some good wines that weren't overpriced. Best bernaise sauce that I have ever had.
We had the early special which included desert; a cheesecake. In most restaurants it isn't worth the calories. This cheesecake was masterful - it was a bananas foster new york style with a fantastic caramel sauce. Our servers Eric and Dylan were helpful and professional.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved It!!Everything was top notch! The service, the food, the ambiance. Sterling's is a must if you're in Reno. My boyfriend and I are young professionals and sometimes when we go to "nicer" establishments, we feel like we're being ignored and we're not being attended to as much as the other patrons. That is not the case with Sterling's, they go above and beyond to make sure everything is to your satisfaction. Their food is amazing, I had their halibut special and the bf had they rib eye steak. Both entrees were excellent and they give you complimentary chocolate covered strawberries at the end. Booth was set up with an anniversary card and our waiter (Jesse) was outstanding. We both had the Filet and Prawns. Steak was cooked to perfection. Prawns were also excellent. Lobster bisque was good, and did not need the sherry that came along with it. We tried the crème brulee taster for dessert. I loved the Amaretto one while my girl loved the strawberry one. To top it off, 2 chocolate dipped strawberries. Dinner, ambiance, presentation and service were all excellent. I lost my diamond and sapphire ring in the ladies room after washing my hands. I called the restaurant from home and the hostess found and held on to my ring until I could return. We started coming to Reno 7 years ago on vacation, always stayed at the Legacy, ate at Sterlings at least once each visit.

The ambiance, food and service are all outstanding every time. I've reviewed them before, and there's not much to add. We both had the prime rib, which was medium rare, exactly as ordered. It was so tender I swear I could have cut it with a butter knife. The presentation of all food was pleasing, and the temperature and flavor was excellent. Service was outstanding. We had made our reservation for 8:30 pm, but had a misadventure on the way to Reno and I had to call and request a later time. We were accommodated with no problem. We were still at our table at the scheduled closing time and did not at any time feel rushed to finish and leave.
