Stephi's On TremontLovely lunch before the theaterThe location in the South End was perfect for lunch before seeing a terrific show at the Calderwood. The menu was ample with many choices but not ooverwhelming. Although we sat indoors, the outdoor seating on Tremont looked appealing. We did make our reservations based on the valet parking which, although notmentioned on the website, is NOT available at lunch......very disappointing and we were late for lunch and the theatre seeking parking in a very crowded area.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved it!We loved going here on a Wednesday night! It was fun, warm and a great meal! Definitely going again!5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMPrompt is good!Dinner before theater was fast and good. Drinks arrived in minutes, dinners were served simultaneously and hot, and food was very, very good. Just what one hopes for and doesn't always achieve. Even the valet parking worked to our advantage: park once, walk to theater, car reclaimed in 5 minutes. I wouldn't do Stephi's for a special occasion, but it works beautifully for lunch, for a South End stroll, for pre-anything nearby.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMDidn't disappointCelebrating a graduation with five. Everyone loved their food. Service was great. Loved the warm goat cheese app.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMStephi's is exactly what theyStephi's is exactly what they say they are: great, high-end comfort food. The restaurant is small but still spacious enough, and the look of the place is very pleasant. I ordered the macaroni and cheese with bacon, and my wife ordered the seabass. We were both very satisfied and would return here any time.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat as always!I chose Stephi's on Tremont for a birthday lunch for a dear friend. The food, service, and setting were perfect and made for a fun and relaxed occassion.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMNice dinner4 of us enjoyed various meals at Stephi's, my first time at that location. It's a very pleasant room with a medium sized bar. Our server was fine if a bit awkward. The cod w/ bacon/corn chowder and potato was very good and people seemed to enjoy their bacon mac n cheese, pasta w/ sausage and rabe and pork cutlet. Good pour of gruner veltliner. OK fudge bread pudding for dessert.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great business lunchHad a great business lunch at Stephi's on Thurs. My first time there from out of town. Menue diversity was excellent and interesting. I had the Miso Salmon salad, which was very good. Service was attentive and cordial. Sat out front on the patio--beutiful sunny day--and my only complait is they really need some umbrellas. While the day was mild and sunny, the sun in the face for over an hour was a little tough after a while. With an umbrella it would have been perfect. Would definitely go back.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWe are never disappointedWe are never disappointed with this restaurant - good food, service and ambiance. There's a buzz but you can still hear your own table's conversation. It is our go-to place before theatre events at Boston Center for the Arts.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, excellent service,Great food, excellent service, and delicious wine. We are planning a move to the South End and were looking for a good neighborhood spot to check out...very happy with our selection. We'll be back!4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch really hits the mark!Brunch really hits the mark! The choose your own adventure bloody mary bar is awesome. I love that I choose the ingredients and a professional bartender mixes it together.
The Crab Cakes Eggs Benny is always a home run too!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWaitress was friendly, foodWaitress was friendly, food was absolutely delicious (I had the pretzel crabcake benedict) and the personalized bloody mary menu made for a great brunch with the girls. Will definitely recommend to friends and will return myself.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was tasty enough..eggsFood was tasty enough..eggs benedict w/salmon. I have never had that before, but I think that the salmon if it had had the cold taken out a bit would have be better. But I thought it was very noisy,a nd that is a turn-off for me.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI like the atmosphere becauseI like the atmosphere because it's energetic without being too loud and the food is very good with several great choices.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMA reliable neighborhood spotA reliable neighborhood spot with just the right relaxed vibe. The main menu always has varied items and the chef's specials usually win my vote. Recently, it was a rib eye steak, prepared perfectly to my specifications, over a bed of creamy risotto. We began the meal with fantastic duck confit spring rolls. The wait staff is always helpful and friendly and the bar always gets it right3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome for brunch and dinnerI've had brunch and dinner at Stephi's and I've never come out disappointed. The food and service is always top notch. Their spicy home fries are worth trying. I've had their french toast and eggs benedict, both I highly suggest. I had been craving good french toast for over two weeks and I couldn't put the fork down. Only thing I suggest is to ask is to ask for the marmalade cream cheese on the side.
For dinner I enjoyed their grilled calamari with watermelon and feta. All and all, Stephi's on Tremont has become one of my favorite places to go to in Boston.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMOnce you get past the ratherOnce you get past the rather unwelcoming front desk personnel, the experience is quite good. Since the restaurant is modeled on a bistro, the tables are relatively close together and the atmosphere is lively. The bar is quite expert at mixology and the kitchen rarely disappoints. Duck spring rolls are a great way to start and entrees run from salads to well prepared fish and meats. Service is attentive, informative and friendly.1/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
