We started the meal with a citrus salmon appetizer that was plated with minced red onion on top and served with toasted bagel ships with dill cream cheese. Needless to say, it was excellent. The salmon had a citrus note, yet it didn't over power the salmon itself. The duck dish I had was cooked medium rare to perfection and my wife swore to me again, it's the best shrimp and grits on earth. As usual, the food was divine. Delicious quail. Perfect steaks.
The only downside was that there was another male server that kept hitting my chair every single time he walked by. He never apologized or even acknowledged that he ever bumped into me. His body even brushed my back once as he went by without a single acknowledgement or an excuse me. Edwin is THE BEST server!!!!! He was so attentive as though we were his only table. The food was fabulous and we had the perfect table as requested during my opentable reservation. Also, we asked for Edwin and he was even at the door to greet us. We were there for hours but never felt like they wanted us to give up our table. We live so close and Stella's is so wonderful, we MUST go more often. It's always a treat to have Julia (owner) come by and say hello. What a personal touch that we really appreciate. We always feel so welcome and that they are truly happy to see us.
