StellaConsistency and QualityWe have been coming to Stella for five years and I have resisted reviewing it, waiting for it to eventually become a victim of its own success. My wife and I are very particular about food service and have "killed" many favorite restaurants due to inconsistent service or food quality. In five years I've sent back one entree-- it was a steak not prepared as expected. For me thats an incrediable record. We love this place and if you appreciate delicous home made well seasoned gormet itallian food, the nuances of excellent customer service, and the importance of food prepared consistently, you will find great relief in Stella. The service was great and we were able to sit in a room that was a little quieter (not your average rowdy bachelorette). There were romantic dinners and other groups there as well, seems like a great place for lots of different types. The food was good and plenty variety also. I thought to add notes to my opentable reservation only a few hours before we arrived that we were celebrating my sister - and i was with her so i couldn't call the restaurant. i just added notes about what she was wearing so they would know who she was and they greeted her immediately as the bride which was so nice. Brought my bf there for the first time for apps and drinks - we were running late for our 8pm reservation on Friday night and they were still able to get us in with a short wait. Mussels were great - they're already out of the shells which makes for easy access and the broth is so tasty! Also had the arancini appetizer which was great too. Ordered the short rib pizza to share but we took it to go because we didn't have too much of an appetite - served well for a late-night snack. Great atmosphere and ambiance. Great food, amazing drink list, wonderful atmosphere... it's perfect. The atmosphere boarders too loud, but that just makes you huddle closer so it is either very intimate or very fun depending what you're going for. If it's cold, I would recommend not sitting near the window - I was freezing during the cold rain a few nights ago - but the warm food made up for it! Try some of everything if you can - the harvest martini and the short rib pizza were to die for!
