At the bar to await our table (we were early, the table ready right on time), we were treated by the bartender like long lost friends. He made a great cocktail for one of our party, and asked the Sommelier to guide us on wine selection. While you can spend a couple of grand on wine here, you don't need to just to have a wonderful glass or bottle. We explained our taste preference (Cabernet) and we were provided with the first of what would be many fine, fine wines. Then we ate... The teamwork, hospitality, and great atmosphere made our special evening a wonderful night we will always remember. Complements and thanks to the chef as well. The staff was well informed about the ingredients of the dishes and the reasons behind the wine selections. The pace of the meal was appropriately managed. Yes, it is expensive, but it was truly a "5-star" dining experience, beginning with the caviar service, a glass of vodka where the vodka was frozen with liquid nitrogen (then more vodka added to create a steaming, bubbling COLD vodka), to the 4-course tasting menu paired with exquisite wines. The service matched the quality of the food and we had a wonderful, unforgettable meal. The food was great, problem is it's just way over priced. Wine list had far to many wines near 100 dollars and not 50 dollars. I had recommended Stella! to out of town people (who once again, picked up the tab) but I was embarrassed that the only choice was a prix fixe menu.
And, because the steep price was the only option, I expected exception fare. The fava or lima beans on my fish were rock hard. Inexcusable. The extra $55 beef appetizer I ordered was presented with great fanfare, but the brick over was stone cold.
I'd like to recommend a little more diversity in your pricing options. I'll inquire before I book again; otherwise, I'll steer my guests other places.

The scallop starters were delicious and well flavored with seared bok choy,
garlic and a delicious sauce. The second courses, Asian chili prawns and the
Cochon de Lait were cooked to perfection and the pork. The entrees, striped
bass and lobster were delicately flavored and excellent. The wines and
the desserts were also delicious.
The wait staff were very knowledgeable and courteous.
