i travel 3k miles twice a year for the meatballs and calamari. So worth it. and great service too.

Whenever I’m in this area of Manhattan this is my go to Italian restaurant. I love the decor, the front of the house staff is always warm, polite and makes me feel special. Reservations are honored in a timely fashion. The waitstaff are amazing. They do not hover but are always there to elevate the dining experience. The food never disappoints. Pizza is outstanding whether as a personal pizza or an appetizer for the table. The bread while an additional cost is well worth it. Crispy crust warm and soft on the inside. Served with salt, butter or oil. Main courses are excellent and not over priced for NYC. Eggplant parmigiana, lasagna, branzino my favorites however the pasta dishes are not ordinary and delicious as well. I only wish there was a seafood pasta w linguini. Let us not forget dessert. The table side cannolis are to die for and worth every calorie. I also will highlight the cheesecake, the tart w gelato. I’m not a matcha fan so I don’t order the pannacotta. Again I highly recommend Stella34.

The Met membership book says you will receive a discount by showing your membership card at Stella 34. The manager on duty said they were not aware of this and refused the discount. This was a disappointment to an otherwise excellent dining experience.

We're regulars here... for years. The food is excellent! I think the fact that this is located in Macy's deters potential diners - don't let it. The views of Empire State are nice, but it is the quality of the food that is the star here. Don't miss it.

The restaurant has a real Italian atmosphere, and the menu is authentic. We tried the pasta cacio e pepe and the pizza. They were well-cooked, tasty meals that were true to the original Italian versions. Meatballs were astonishing! The quality-to-cost ratio is correct.

We ended up being late to our booking but the staff were lovely about it and still seated us. The food, wine and view where all great, but what let it down massively is that when we was finishing our wine we was the last people left, they started cleaning up around us which made us feel we had to rush. We ended up having a little friend come out to see us. When we told a member of staff they had mouse he just laughed. Really not good, let’s hope they wipe down all the surfaces but I’m guessing they won’t. A big no no for me!!
