Steinhaus was top notch in service, in food, in everything they did. The food was the absolutely fantastic. The owners came around to greet everyone and wish the Moms Happy Mothers Day. The brunch had all the German authetic food as well as gourmet desserts. This was our first visit to this great restaurant, but it will definitely not be our last. There is outdoor dining on the patio when the weather permits, a large wine list and several authentic German brews. The food was outstanding and the service very personal. Moreover, the service matched the food. Our waitress was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu and was attentive to our needs throughout our meal. That being said, the portions are outrageously large. We were on vacation when we ate here and could not take leftovers. It was criminal that we had to send over half of what we ordered back to the kitchen to be thrown out. The portions are simply too big. The restaurant is impeccably clean and the service and drink selection is fantastic. The food was authentic, healthy, and German with excellent portions of protein and veggies. Steinhaus is quite elegant. The modern decor, highly trained and professional staff as well as separate tables for 2-4 people distinguish it from Hofbrau House and others. The list of German beers and wines is good. The service has always been professional. It is more expensive than other German places in the area, but Steinhaus aims to please the foodie and professional diner. They do have a large "common table" for diners to share, or for a big family gathering. It does have a full bar. Steinhaus has an area to add outdoor dining this summer.
