We absolutely love going to Steamers. Sad that it is now closed for the winter months. We are locals and love it here! Shout out to Murray who is by far our favorite server there. I enjoyed the Chef's tasting menu -amazing, lots of food! and my husband enjoyed the NY Steak -cooked to perfection! Thanks again, See you next year!

One of the best steakhouses I have ever had the opportunity to go to. The staff waitress who was taking care of my wife and I was wonderful. She was able to provide the right suggestions for our eating experience. The meal was prepared to our specifications and the flavours were amazing!!! We would recommend the 12 oz Rib Steak and the Lamb shank to anyone.

Sunday dinner (prime rib special) and by 7 pm only medium well done PR left - we opted for steak. Smoked salmon appetizer was fantastic. Waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed - didn't write anything down and got some things mixed up (at ours and every table around us...). Dessert list didn't entice us to try anything. It was a good meal, but not a fantastic meal. Would have been nice to have bread or rolls as well. We'd go back again to give it another try.

We went to this restaurant while staying a night at Deerhurst. First, the food and service were great. They had a great Washington wine that we can't get at the LCBO. No complaints there. Now the bad: everything about Deerhurst. They told us there was a shuttle to the restaurant. Well, we waited 30 min for it on the way there and were told it was because the driver had an emergency. After dinner (which was $350 so not cheap) our server called the shuttle while we were finishing dessert. We still waited 40 MINUTES outside in the dark. We went back in twice for them to call again. And I called the front desk myself. When he did come he said no one had called him. This was just one of many things Deerhurst got wrong. We will not be back.

First let me say that the service is outstanding! Having had friends highly recommend this restaurant, we finally decided to try it and were so pleasantly surprised. We had a lovely table in the screened in verandah. We ordered the charcurterie (sp?) platter which was delicious. I had the pickerel which was perfectly prepared with a generous portion of fish and very yummy. My husband was happy with his choice of the pasta with smoked salmon. Dessert was the incredible doughnuts! which we ended up packing up as there were so many. We will definitely go back again to try their steaks.

WE had dined at Steamers in the past and had found the food to be somewhat unique (eg Kobe Beef) and above average in taste. Based on our pervious experiences, we were disappointed in this visit. The menu selections and food taste was just average! However, opur sever was very pleasant and personable.

I booked offline via open table and was stuffed into a table down along hallways in a corner. The waiter took forever to come to table and the main course was brought while the appetizer plate was still on table the 2 orders of lamb shank ordered were over cooked and dry and the vegetables mushy. The waiter never asked once how everything was.

Mediocre steakhouse, downtown Toronto prices. My wife had an okay lamb shank and my son had an awful pork belly/noodle dish that advertised egg noodles but was delivered with pasta. My daughter had a very nice 8oz tenderloin, $48. I ordered a 12oz rib steak that looked like a 7oz flank steak with marbling. In the middle was a big round chunk of fat (I know rib steaks are well marbled but this was a joke) and it was 1/4 in thick. The waiter that us that they were pre-weighed and sent to them packaged! The waiter was good to replace it with a 12oz strip. If you must go there order the 12oz strip ($40) or the expensive tenderloin OR drive into town and have a better meal at 3 Guys and a Stove, the steak the previous evening was better at $31!

Although there is very little signage from the road if any, I found the restauant, the sign on the hill needs foliage trimmed for better visibility , It was my Moms birthday, they even wrote Happy Birthday in chocolate on her dessert plate, a surprise, and well worth every bit of the cost, our waiter Murray, not sure that is the proper spelling, was amazing, very Attentive and informative. Mrs Carol Hughes invited me to supper at Steamers. We were visiting her in her timeshare at Deerhurst. She has raved about this restaurant for many years and at last I was able to visit and experience the cuisine. Martine was our server. Great service and very friendly. The food was excellent (Roast Chicken) and very well presented. The do-nut dessert was huge and delicious. Carol's passion fruit dessert was excellent. The decor reminded me of a hunting lodge creating a very warm and cozy feeling. It must be beautiful at Christmas with the fireplace burning. Many thanks for the experience. I am sure we will come again. Valerie Osler

Emma was our server. She was absolutely amazing!!! It was my moms birthday and we were a large party of 8. Emma really made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The service was fast, which was awesome, and the chefs were great at accomodating a gluten/dairy dietary restiction. We have been to Steamers a couple times and are always blown away by the food. We would definately recommend this restaurant and will definately be returing soon. Thanks Emma and Steamers for a great night :)

My husband and myself always look forward to dining at Steamers. The food, manager and wait staff add to our dining experience. We enjoy the interaction with the staff. The choices and food preparation are excellent. Food was hot, cooked to perfection and good side choices. Living in the area we are happy to see you are open for the cottage season. We missed the option to dine at Steamers over the winter months. We also enjoyed last year the live music entertainment.

The food: The 12 ounce srip loin was done to perfection and a perfect cut. The trout and cod had been dropped from the menue and my wife's choice left was not offensive but not to her liking. Generally the food at Steamers meets or exceeds our expectations. The service: OUTSTANDING! The service staff are about the best we have experienced. They are friendly and very helpful. The timely yet unhurried service was refreshing. Clearly well motivated, experienced service staff, representative of a good restaurant manager. Ambience: A white table cloth up scale dinning experience but with a relaxed feel. Warm and intimate. Great view. Only disappointment, the music. Down scale canned pop music out of very poor sounding speakers.

This restaurant was recommended from staff members at the " Deerhurts Resort" but overall, my husband and I were disappointed. Our Thanksgiving dinner was o.k. but not great and the dessert was less than O.K. The brown paper on the white table cloth was a turnoff. They charge "fine dining" prices for mediocre food. We won't return to this restaurant.

My wife and I were looking forward to celebrating our wedding anniversary dinner at your restaurant. The biggest let down was, by far, the food. The chicken was satisfactory but the cod (for $36!!!) was bland and the portion was very small. The service was good as was the ambience. I was expecting more from a world-class resort like Dearhurst. I will not be returning to your restaurant anytime soon.

Expensive meal and yet the tables had paper on top of the white linens. Rather tacky for my taste. My husband ordered a pork chop and although it was tastie he should have ordered a double meal. 3 carrots and 4 small pieces of asparagus accompanied it. I ordered a seafood appetizer and there was enough for two or three. No one mentioned that bread no longer comes with the meal unless requested.
