It seems like the menu has offered a more limited selection this last year, and while the items left are pretty decent, for me, it's just not as stellar as it used to be. I couldn't imagine a better setting with a stunning sunset. Although the food is slightly above average the service and ambiance make the difference. As we waited for our table the manager and came out with a dozen roses, of which my keen eyed wife noted how pretty they were, of which I said they were for her. We had the best seat in the house, overlooking a picture postcard sunset. The waitress was informed, courteous, and timely. Food was excellent and overall it was delightful evening helped by the staff.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat PlaceIf you are from out of the area and looking for a "best Pismo Beach" dining experience, this is the place. We were there for dinner and the view, and were not disappointed. The food is great, especially the baby clams for an appetizer. My wife and I had different fish entrees, and both were fresh and flavorable. The portions are large, and we over did it by having desert; we left stuffed. The scenic view makes for great ambience if you get a window table. Away from the window is still nice, but I might drop the ambience rating to 4 stars in that case.

Steamers did not disappoint us! Easy parking, friendly greeters, great service , fabulous food, and out of this world view of the Pacific Ocean. You are known for your wonderful ambience, and we are so pleased you made our evening special. Even, Jay, the manager, greeted our table, and made all of us feel so welcomed. Jay, is outstanding!

It has went from an average restaurant with a fantastic view to AWESOME! Reservation honored promptly without wait, restaurant was crowded. We got a table as requested. Food was good, service good, ambiance outstanding with beautiful view. We drove 85 miles and it was worth the drive. We will be back on Fathers Day. Highly recommend, shrimp was the freshest and best. Started in the bar. Had apps and drinks both done well. Although oysters eere sold out by 630?? Moved om to dinner. Another app the seafood fondue on bread bowl was great. We each had a wine flight. We tried a red and a white...both decent...dinner was great. Also had wedge which was wonderful flavors. The steak with bluecheese and mashed potatoes spinach and port wine reduction is a killer combo ask med rare.
Too full for dessert. Having said that, brunches are not easy to pull off, and this one was outstanding. The variety and quality of the food was excellent. My only suggestion would be to get the food a little bit hotter. Much of it was just warm. But the cook to order offerings were hot and amazing! The food was delicious and good portions. The bartender Tim and Shelly were amazing. Tim has created some fantastic drinks. Tiffany was our waitress and she was fantastic. The overall staff was great and very attentive. I would go back today if I lived near. We live three hours north of hear in San Jose and our son and lives three hours south of here in Pasadena. It's a great place to meet and enjoy a reasonable meal with a fantastic view.
