  • "We are officially done with this restaurant. We have been quite a few times. Our reservations was for 9pm, didn't get a table until 9:40. We were seated next to a guy in cargo shorts, flip flops and a Tshirt. This has happened every time we have gone. W hotel, steakhouse--it is supposed to be upscale. It is so off putting and changes the dining experience entirely. The ambience (including a group of small children running through the BAR where we were waiting for our table) has much to be desired for a fun, elegant, sexy night out."

  • "Steak 954 is one of my top 3 favorite places! The wait staff is top-notch and the food is amazing. The wagyu filet is definitely an "experience" as the wait staff without fail describes it as. I choose to relive this experience each time. Any of the truffle sides are delicious! I'd be lying if I said Steak 954 wasn't pricey, but well worth it."

  • "My boyfriend and I had dinner there last night and we had an amazing experience from the time we valeted the car to when we got back in the car! Everyone was so friendly, great staff. the food was AMAZING - sooo worth it! We split 2 apps (tacos & scallops), each had an entree (black cod and duck 2 ways) and we shared a side (the stuffed hashbrown - OMG to die for). They make a great Margarita too! After dinner we went upstairs to the lobby bar and enjoyed another drink at the bar. The bartender was great - he made me a jalapeno margarita and to my surprise I LOVED IT so much I had to have another! Cheers to STEAK 954 - we will be returning."

  • "From the minute we sat down our dining experience was incredible. We were sitting on the "veranda," looking at the ocean and watching all the "beautiful people" of Fort Lauderdale. That was the entertainment. Every dish was better than the next. We started out with an incredible caesar salad. Then I had steak tartare and my date had lump crab meat. We were both in heaven. We shared the veal porterhouse and the taste and texture of the meat was a "foodies dream." The spinach and the dessert was also yummy. We would highly recommend Steak 954 and cannot wait to go back for another wonderful meal."

  • "The restaurant was amazing from valet to the bar where they have a great selection of wine and domestic beer.the dinning area is very open with a great view of a jelly fish aquarium. They even can accommodate private parties there's out door dinning with a beach view that is great for a walk after a perfect meal love this place differently will be back my wife love the margaritas and crab cskes"

  • "Steak 954 is a very eclectic, cool place to enjoy dinner. I loved the variety on the wine and cocktail menu. I had the Wagyu filet, which was delicious, as well as the truffle Mac and cheese. The desserts are scrumptious, and very different. Our server was excellent, checking on us often, as well as very knowledgable. A spot to definitely check out while in Fort Lauderdale!"

  • "This is our new special place to take out of town guests--especially those visiting from "up north." Views are jaw-dropping. Think "moon over Ft. Lauderdale." And the food is Michelin star worthy. Those in your party who love to dress up can do so and those who don't don't have to. Service is not pretentious at all but very knowledgeable and helpful. The porterhouse steak was terrificly tender and completely steaky. The cod in miso was melt in your mouth. Sides are always one of the best parts of the meal, especially the truffled potato gratin. Prices fall into a broad range. You can splurge or keep the total down to a reasonable level. It's all good."

  • "I made this reservation not realizing it was lent and we were going on a Friday. We did not have steak but had seafood - lobster bisque, tomato and burratta and lobster with risotto. Everything was delicious! We'll have to go back another time and try the steak :) Must have the truffle Mac and cheese it's to die for!"

Michael was a charm and very patient with our drink and food choices; we were not rushed through dinner but allowed to linger and enjoy the evening. The aged ribeye medium rare was perfect and of melt in your mouth quality and paired well with the wedge and chardonnay. A great start to my stay at the W. Thanks, Billie"

  • "The family wanted to do brunch but not a 3 hour, stand in buffet line, up and down and up and down affair. Had heard of Steak 954 and it was a glorious SoFl day so decided to give them a shot. The location and view do not disappoint. We sat outside and the patio is directly overlooking Ft. Lauderdale beach. There is cover so it may even be doable on rainy days but definitely comfortable on sunny days. Even the short wait for a table was fun as you can stare at the mesmerizing jellyfish tank in the lounge. Service was prompt and friendly. Very professional even though the server looked like he was straight out of Housewives of New Jersey. The menu is limited for brunch, but enough variety to satisfy most anyone. Well executed."

  • "I never write a review, but after dinner here I felt I had to. My boyfriend and I heard that they had a fabulous wine list, but everything was very young; nothing impressive with the overall inventory. The offensive moment was when my boyfriend tasted the wine, having a wide understanding and appreciation for wine, asked to get another bottle because it was bad and then "beverage manager" came out to tell us we were "wrong" without apologizing or asking what we thought was wrong. No social manners, or customer service experience. Then, the filet ordered came out cold and they wanted to cook the already cut filet. Our waitress, Katie, was sweet and understanding but the lack of attention by the chef and manager ruined our night out."

  • "We ordered wine from the extensive list and price is very reasonable. One roll of warm ciabatta bun for one of us and room temp butter which is perfect as we were really hungry . We ordered the burratta and baby heirlooms tomatoes. One of the best outside of Italy. I thought it was a Australian wagu but it was a steak sandwich for $ 64. The sandwich came on a plain plate cut in 4 and a small bottle of Moët. The meat looked dry shaving so it didn't matter it is wagu beef. I took a bite and wow very rich as I expected but SO Salty I thought the beef was marinated in Sea salt bath. A disappointment for a signature steak house. Overall ambience is good with the jelly fish tank very cool. I would give it another try but reg steak."

  • "Disappointing. The service took so long that we were short on time getting to our flight. The waiter disappeared after our meal, taking more than 20 minutes to get our check after we finished eating. It was an hour and a half experience for a cheese steak and a chicken sandwich. Overrated."

  • "By far the best filet mignon I have ever eaten. Perfectly cooked, tender, melt in your mouth deliciously flavored. My co diner had fish, said it was ok. We had the stuffed home fries. Absolutely decadent and yummy. My only complaint was the noise level was off the charts loud and irritating. So, going there for socialization while eating is not really going to be good. But the food and service was perfect"

  • "I can't remember a better steak than the NY Strip I had here this week. Just totally top notch. Friendly and attentive service. Tasty Wedge salad as well. Only negative is that a restaurant of this caliber needs to have a couple of good beers on tap. Bottled beer does not cut it in this type of high end place."

  • "Everything about Steak 954 was spot on. The service was welcoming, warm, and attentive. The menu was creative and had a great variety although beef is a significant part of the menu, there are many alternatives. The cocktail menu was terrific and my Soleil Ray was stellar. The server made some terrific suggestions…..big eye tuna and foie gras tacos were a huge hit. Sides were special…..smoked cauliflower and kale as well as brussel sprouts were unique and fantastic. Our steaks were perfectly prepared and we are pretty particular. The flavor was outstanding. And we indulged in a dessert that was the icing on the cake! Frozen chocolate and peanut butter layer cake - nothing ordinary or expected here! This is a restaurant not to miss."

We usually don't go for desserts when dining out but couldn't resist the ice cream sandwich trio. Delicious......can't say it enough this place was amazing!!!!"

  • "This was the best breakfast I can remember eating ever! Beautiful setting on the ocean, best Smoked Salmon eggs benedict I have ever eaten. Great bloody mary's, both regular and tomatillo.   • "...service needs some help. A friend checked in with them before we arrived and told them to let us know he was at the bar. They never did and we sat down and waited for him for 15 minutes. Finally he walked around and found us. They're a little too quick to clear the plates when someone at the table is still eating. A no no. We felt rushed which was totally unnecessary because the restaurant was emptying out. Overall the food is very good, though and the atmosphere is nice."

We were too late for an outside seat but were quite happy to be inside at a two-top by the windows. 954 is a gem. Ask for Antonio. He is friendly, attentive, interesting and knew just when to check in with us without being intrusive."
