Station House CafeMother's Day BreakfastOur family of 5 went here for breakfast on Mother's Day and it was great! Weather was so nice, we ate outside and the garden was very nice setting. Lots of motorcyclists sat around us, but noise level was pleasant and diffused by plants. Food was excellent! Feta scramble is to die for! Highly recommend for breakfast and lunch. Will be back for dinner next time.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for Champagne & OystersWe went to Station house for Mothers Day, with the main goal of having Champagne & Oysters. Station house surpassed our expectations on those basics, but floored us with amazing calamary. You must try!! It comes with a Jalepeno-yogurt sauce that is to die for.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMdelicious creative comfort foodWe pulled into Pt Reyes National Park late in the day following long drive and were delighted enjoy fresh, locally grown foods at Station House Cafe. Very down to earth relaxed ambience. The menu includes standard fare such as a terrific mac and cheese as well as creative combinations for example fantastic beets salad with arugula. The area is well know for their Drake's Bay oysters which are "out of this world". I am glad the waitress helped me choose the bar-b-qued oysters with garlic and lemon. Oysters were tender and so fresh- some of the best I have had anywhere. Very friendly staff.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place to eat...If you're visiting Point Reyes, I highly recommend this as a great casual restaurant with great food. The popovers they serve instead of bread are absolutely amazing!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMMy friend and I had the calamariMy friend and I had the calamari appetizer with house salads. The appetizer was a large portion and with the salads, it was more than enough for us. Your home made salad dressings were excellent. The calamari was tender and had a light batter - we really enjoyed it. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich. He rarely eats pork but was glad he ordered it. It was very lean, plentiful and had a tasty barbecue sauce. It was a beautiful day and sitting outside in the garden patio made it even nicer. We'll be back.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMeverything is farm-fresh andeverything is farm-fresh and delicious. Pop-overs along is worth the drive from San Francisco.. never tried anything better. We love coming here, and we particularly like the farm feel of it... Stellina down the street serves good food as well, but it looks like another restaurant in San Francisco.. nothing special... while Station House is simpler but really has its own face and vibe. Stay that way please, don't modernize...4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe receptionists seemed disorganizThe receptionists seemed disorganized and unprepared for seating even though we had reservations. Once seated the wait staff was on spot. The food was fabulous.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious twists on basicDelicious twists on basic dishes without wandering into the area of downright strange. Use of local special products from beef to seafood to cheese is all very welcome. Breakfasts are as great as dinners...4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMReliably Excellent Always EnjoyableThe Station House Cafe is a gem in West Marin. The food is exceptional and creative without being too cute for consumption. The ingredients are always the best available -- largely local and organic. The service is always friendly, warm, and excellent -- you always feel like you're a regular, even if you only have the good fortune to visit once or twice a year.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBest lunch in Pt. Reyes StationDelectable oysters, both bar-b-qued & served with garlic butter, and on the held-shell. Delicious Dungeness crab salad. Others enjoyed their fish-and-chips. Restaurant was busy yet service was attentive and efficient. We liked the restaurant very much.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappointsWe have eaten here at least 10 times over the last 15 years and it never disappoints. We always have the Polenta with the Madera Portobello sauce-fantastic. This time i had their special, corned beef (St.Patrick's) and wife and friends the Fish and Chips...both excellent. Pop Ups are always a treat. Service was fast this time although it can be spotty. Given the casual feel that never bothers us. We had to wait about 10 minutes past the reservation time for our table to clear but that's understandable given the smallish size of the house. Spring or summer outside dining is the best!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
