Diner Reviews
  • "Chose this spot as a convenient location for a business luncheon near a Metro Station in DC for three people who needed to meet. Very convenient. I was pleased with my meal and the great service. I will return to try a Saturday or Sunday Brunch and will recommend to others to give you a try. Thanks"

  • "Station 4 is a good neighbor - always offering good food, great cocktails and friendly wait staff. You always can count on a good lunch at a very good price."

  • "The food here is reliably good, but I really go to Station 4 for the patio, which is quiet with comfortable seating and usually a nice breeze. It's also convenient to Arena Stage and offers a pre-theatre menu."

  • "Truly bottomless mimosas. Steak was cooked according to order. Eggs were moist. Ordered dessert, which was great to share."

  • "We have visited Station 4 for brunch, lunch, and dinner! Great food everytime. Right at the Metro in the neighborhood makes it even better."

  • "I've eaten at Station 4 serveral times and have never been disappointed. The service is good, the hamburgers are fantastic! Great steaks and the fries are wonderful."

  • "Station 4 is a relatively new restaurant, settled in the up and coming waterfront district. Just a 10 minute walk from the Areana Stage, this hot spot is ideal. The parking is below ground, and utilizes the same facility as the Arena Stage. In addition to serving regular patrons, the restaurant is also geared to theater goers, offering those patrons a special menu. Overall, Station 4 offers an interesting and varied menu with a wine list to match. We had a formed and spiced ground lamb dish which was a delightful surprise. Wait staff was attentive, but not intrusive. We had great weather the evening we dined at Station 4, so we were able to eat outside. Lovely."

  • "Love this spot. Perfect for outdoor seating and the french toast/bottomless mimosas was a hit!"

  • "I always enjoy my dining experiences at Station 4. On this occasion the air conditioning system was slow to cool following a loss of electricity overnight. The restaurant was very warm. Otherwise, my colleagues and I enjoyed the food and company. The server was very attentive. I plan to return."

  • "Station 4 has great outdoor seating. The service was a bit slow but the food was tasty."

  • "Had never been here before but needed to find a place in between VA and MD and near the metro for brunch with a friend. What a great find! We were early enough to get a seat on their lovely patio, though the inside was decorated in a really cool style and we would have been happy there too. Two of us ordered the biscuits & gravy and wow, were they good! I truly hadn't expected them to be quite so good, but the gravy had just the right savory flavor. Sitting next to them was a massive pile of fluffy, scrambled eggs. Very much looking forward to trying Station 4 for lunch one day!"

  • "Overall, good night. Food was EXCELLENT. Definitely try the goat cheese crustini and the striploin: both very tasty! Also, decor is very cool and sparks conversation. Only downfalls: table was sticky and waiter was pushy -- tried too hard to upsell, which was really annoying. Alas, the bartender was awesome!"

  • "On other occasions I have eaten outside where it is lovely when it is not too hot and humid. Inside tends to be noisy. The crab cakes were great. Too bad they would only serve the tuna extra raw as I would have loved to have had it medium cooked - my friend ordered and the sauce flavor was great."

  • "Our dinners were very good. The salmon was served with very nice brocolli. The lamb did not quite match description, but quite good. Good service."

  • "It would be great for outdoor dining, but last night was just too hot!"

  • "One of the few non-fast food spots in the vicinity of Patriots Plaza/NASA/Safeway. Graet place for quality sit down meal for lunch."

  • "Interesting cocktails, decent fixed price three course pre-theatre dinner option. Unfortunately menu on the website did not match restaurant offerings so we missed out on some of the dishes we were looking forward to. The vegetarian option was not much more than grilled vegetables on rice and chickpeas though."

  • "Very nice decor but we ate outside because of the noise level inside. If you are interested in conversation outside is the only option. Outside area is nice when the weather permits. This was a before-Arena Stage meal for us - there are so few offerings in the area. Food was good but probably will not be coming here again."

  • "Ate brunch here with a friend prior to catching a show at the Arena Stage. The food was delicious, I had the French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. I also had a SW Mimosa which was very light and refreshing. Only downside is it is not a brunch buffet, so each item was a separate charge, making it a bit pricey."

  • "We arrived at the restaurant at 6:15. At 7:20 I was begging to be served our salad and cold soup. The waiter checked to see if we were going to the theater. I think it was a formality. The restaurant was not overly crowded but the service was terrible. Having eaten here for the past two years the service is often unpredictable. Tonight it was awful! For each course only three of the people received their food. We requested the 4th person be served. Though we had to gobble our food quickly it was well prepared. This is a great restaurant for theater goers -- I am hoping they get their act together"

  • "I went with a group of friends & everyone enjoyed the very modern & cool decor. The food was decent. I enjoyed my Farm Fresh omelette & the cinnamon butter for my english muffin. The hot chocolate tasted gritty like it came out of a packet. At least they used milk instead of water to make it. Duck fat fries (I've had them elsewhere) didn't taste too much different from regular fries. The main gripe everyone had was that they give you HUGE wine glasses for the unlimited mimosas & they are ALL orange juice & no champagne. It was A LOT of OJ to drink & not too enjoyable w/out the champagne part. If you aren't going to use much champange, get smaller glasses & mix them right! Also a waiter kept comin to our table with food that wasn't for us."

  • "It seems to me that, no matter when I come to dine at Station 4; i.e. lunch, brunch, dinner, or happy hour; the food has always been great! The service is very good, and the staff is welcoming! "

  • "We like to use Station 4 before going to Arena Stage. This last visit was a bit disappointing because restaurant registered us as "no show" and the menu had been changed to some selections that are much less appealing than previous selections. Service was also slow so that we were rushed in getting to show."

  • "Station 4 is the best restaurant choice in the area when you are going to Arena Stage. Our group of eight people enjoyed creative salads and delicious pizza. The service was attentive. We will definitely go back to this restaurant in the fall when the new season of plays begins. "

  • "Great location for brunch. Located next to Waterfront metro and convenient for Arena Stage and Nats Park. "

  • "This was our first time at Arena and wanted someplace close for brunch. This was a perfect choice. Food was very good and fairly priced. Would try it for dinner next time. My only "complaint" is that the room, while lovely, is really loud. Also some of the tables are so small, I had to put my waster glass on the empty table next to us. Not a big deal but tables should be large enough for two plates and a water glass if you plan to serve food. Anyway, this is a good choice in a nice area"

  • "Great for brunch and right off the Metro... Food was prepared nicely. "

  • "This was my second time at this restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was first rate. We sat outside. It is hard to imagine a better place to go before a show at Arena Stage (just a block away)"

  • "The food was excellent and plentiful. Great atmosphere and ambience. This is a great spot for anyone to enjoy. The staff was excellent and I can't wait for our next visit."

  • "The food (Miso Glazed Chicken Thigh for my wife, Crispy Pork Shank for me) was outstanding, probably the best restaurant value we've gotten in a long while. But, and this is a BIG but, it was absolutely the nosiest restaurant that we've ever been in. A raucous happy hour crowd at the bar, combined with wooden floors and no sound absorption, and tables elbow to elbow, resulted in a sound level that was almost too much to endure. If you want great food and don't care about hearing loss, Station 4 is the place."

  • "Good food. The waiter was attentive and knew his business. Bar was very loud. Not a place for a quiet talk."

  • "My fiancé and I utilized a Capitol Deal for the weekend brunch. The ambiance was nice and the outdoor seating was scenic and serene. The first off-putting thing was the hostess. We were seated in the sun and asked to move to a table with shade. She told us no, it was only for parties of 3 or more. We CLEARLY saw people occupying other tables where there were only 2. We then asked our waiter and were moved with no issue. His service was slow and the food was nothing spectacular at all. My omelet was too runny and lacked flavor. My fiancé's steak was too dry. The mimosas were the best part. It took our waiter OVER 15 minutes just to bring jelly! The brunch is overpriced for the quality of food. The service was subpar. We won't be returning!"

  • "We won't have dinner at Station 4 again. The food was awful,as was the service. The worst part is that we brought friends with us. It's too bad since it's so convenient."

  • "My husband and I ordered off the $35 fixed-price menu. Appetizers and main courses were quite good. Desserts were average. Overall, a good price for a very nice meal."

  • "Went here b4 an arena stage show because The Pier had closed 4 The Wharf project. My steak was fine but nothing special. I really didn't like the beer roasted butter (really? ). It wasn't but half full and very noisy. And I waited more than ten minutes after my table was cleared b4 the bill came. "

  • "The restaurant is across the street from the Metro Station, so it is very easy to reach (the map is mispleading, suggesting the restaurant is much further away). Menu is fine, service was excellent (waiter was Ross), food, including the house salad, was good. The place inside is quite noisy with chatter. At a group table, it would be difficult to hear anyone not right next to you."
    Dined on 5/20/2014
  • "Food was good - I guess I'd call it 'new wave' as there were some different types of plates on the menu. We had the pre-theater fixed price menu and told the waiter in advance that we had theater tickets so the meal was served promptly. It was a lovely day so we sat outside on the patio so there was some traffiec noise. One thing - the main course came before we had quite finished the starter or it had been cleared, so that was awkward. "
