It is a creative mix of old world and new, with modern California cuisine that is artistically presented. The pre-fix menu is very approachable for most people, and offers 4 options per each of the 3 courses, including a vegetarian option, a more "common" option such as salmon or chicken, and a daring option like sweet breads, which are not for everyone. The dessert also has a cheese option for those who don't like sweets. All of their food is local organic, free range and seasonal. They also serve an amuse bouches in-between each course, and homemade rolls. The food was comparable to some of the better bay area restaurants (Flea Street, Chez Panisse). I also like a simple menu (something also common to the better restaurants). And the Albarino was some of the best I've had. The staff was warm, friendly and well orchestrated. The food was delicious and beautiful.
